How long did it take you to settle in?

Didn't take long I don't think. Maybe a week?

I can't seem to get rid of this place, so I tend to hang around like a bad smell. I do remember when we had a totally different set of regulars here, and I think I remember seeing a lot of you newer people post the first couple of times.

this. the constant influx of new contributing members helps to ease the pain of loosing old timers, but there are some people i really miss.

Beats me

I came down here after spending some time up in Oblivion General before the game was released. After a month or so, some personalities stuck out. Never really kept track of how I settled in, never knew I had done so. If I did settle in, then I must be an advlt child returning to the nest now...

I did not recognize you at first. Change your avatar back!

I guess I am pretty settled here. Hell, I spend more time on here than with my family. But that's because this place is great, unlike my family.

Edit: Damn typos.

Go and get your family some ice, 'cause they just got BURNED.

No, but seriously, it's good to talk to your family every now and then. Unless... BGSF is your family.

Well, you see, my family doesn't approve of my interests in technology and video games. They think my addiction is gonna kill me or something.

He's my adopted son.

When did this happen? :o

I'm still not settled. People are mean to me and hit me with sticks. :cold:

:poke:

For quite a while I stuck to MW Hardware. It was a fairly small group of regulars and I was accepted quickly, but I really didn't get out to the rest of the forum very much until they slapped me with this new title. I bet a lot of y'all were surprised :hehe: .

What happens when you think you're settled and Bethesda releases (or announces and adds a forum for) a new game?

I think I'm pretty acclimated as of now. I miss the FO3 forums back in 2009, those were great times.

I still don't feel "settled in". While I know my way around and the personalities of many posters I still oftentimes feel like the odd man out (with everyone talking around me). I felt more at home when the Oblivion forums were popping (when the game was new) and I was contributing a lot there. We had a great group of "regulars" at that time.

Didn't take me very long to settle in, I spent a lot of time in the Elder Scrolls Lore and General Discussion forums before finding CD. As to how well known I am, I'm not so sure, I don't change my avatar very often so that may have helped with any recognition I've received.

That's where I was until I found CD in January.

It was fun back then. We had the "Enclave Fanclub" and the "Guess Where?" threads. Fun times.

<----This is how people recognized me when I joined again.

I may have been the guy who just read, and replied very little, but I've watched from a far, for a very long time...and its hard to settle down when Bethesda brings in new audiences with their in house and published games. Anyways, as I came and went, I had to get used to the new generation of BGS forumites. Antibody, Peace bullet,FALLOUTFTW, Wyatt the waste ranger, to name a few. But then you see a couple people that have stuck it through all these years. Gamgee, Rohugh, Sheikah (wherever she is) and so on..

And then once on a blue moon, someone like Selbeth the Winged one will stop by or even Proweler and remind me that this place hasn't changed one bit. :)

I've been here for a while, but I don't feel like I'm very well known.

I try not to rock the boat, or get in trouble.

I'm not very tech-y, so I can't help out in a lot of computer threads. Don't have much money for games, so can't recommend any or talk about them in the gaming threads.

And I never have any cool avatars. I always just used the default Elder Scrolls art avatar, and there was a thread in which someone said they ignored people with the default avatars because they never stuck around :( But I've been here for years!!!

I usually post for a couple of months, then don't come back for a while, then come back after a while and things change.

I remember a time when everyone was making relationship threads, and finally I was just like, "just ask her out." Then I stopped posting for a while. I came back and saw someone had posted a relationship and said, "and don't just say 'just ask her out'". So apparently I missed out on the time when that phrase pretty much spammed the relationship threads.

And to my knowledge something I said has only been sigged once.

So, I'm settled in.... kinda. Not very well known. A familiar stranger i guess! :)

Once I first found CD and began to post often after a month or so I felt settled in.

I think I am well known here, I do post a little bit too much for my own good.

I need to get a job...

That was fun... Until BS was released and it killed of most of our conversation about what it would be like when we would side with eden and destroy the BoS, then it was ruined by a one sided questline, sliped into just offtopic dicscussion and was closed :sadvaultboy: Still best fanclub there was.
