I never got how in some countries once the snowy season hits so many things just shut down. Like in the states when it gets really snowy kids don't go to school, or like an earlier poster described in Scotland apparently taxis stop driving...
It's kind of outlandish, I live in Norway, right now it's cold and snowy like our winters always are, but no matter how high the snow gets or how cold it gets. Buses keep driving, people go to work, school kids go to school etc.
One American told me the reason school is out when it's really snowy is 'cause the school bus stops driving to school. Ever heard of walking? Or you know the parents actually taking their kids to school.
Put on a thick coat and snow tires/chains and winter's alright

I am in Accra, Ghana and temperature is around 28 deg celsius with a breeze from sea side. today was pretty hot but harmattan season has started and the nights are fresher with 22-23 deg.
