"What is Finland's winter like? Like summer, but snowier." ;)

In reality, warm (as in winter warm, -3 to -10 oC) and snowy. I hear there flurry coming this night, which means tomorrow will be very snowy. That's what i love about seasons in Finland; damn hot summers, damn cold and snowy winters.

Cold, below freezing in NE Florida. My tomatoes and peppers finally bit the cit dust. Now the squirrels will have frosty green treats.

Well today I get to drive in snow all the way home from school in rush hour traffic. Yay me. It's going to be an hour and a half commute that usually takes 35 minutes. My tires are getting bad too. Yesterday I tested them out and I slid about 3 feet... So if I don't respond here in a while I'm out buried in snow somewhere. :P

I am in Accra, Ghana and temperature is around 28 deg celsius with a breeze from sea side. today was pretty hot but harmattan season has started and the nights are fresher with 22-23 deg.

Mild. But anything is better than the six months of solid heat we had here in Cali. I would be remiss if I called out weather cold when it's only about 30 degrees F at the coldest when other places in the country are dealing with sub-zero temperatures.

Mild, 40-70, but the winds are killer. I hate driving in the wind. Its a damn constant fight to stay on the road, and all the 18 wheelers get blown around like paper sacks, so I've got to dodge those as well.

I never got how in some countries once the snowy season hits so many things just shut down. Like in the states when it gets really snowy kids don't go to school, or like an earlier poster described in Scotland apparently taxis stop driving...

It's kind of outlandish, I live in Norway, right now it's cold and snowy like our winters always are, but no matter how high the snow gets or how cold it gets. Buses keep driving, people go to work, school kids go to school etc.

One American told me the reason school is out when it's really snowy is 'cause the school bus stops driving to school. Ever heard of walking? Or you know the parents actually taking their kids to school.

Put on a thick coat and snow tires/chains and winter's alright :)

Snow, snow, snow
Falling from high in the sky
This bright winter day

Snow! Snow!
Snow! Snow!

Snow, snow, snow
Falling from the sky high above

Quite a bit warmer today. It's actually up to 39. Supposed to make it to 48; however, I'd imagine the wind will be blowing 15 knots, which will make it feel like it does now..

Fire, cocoa and blankie? :)

Up to 24F here with some sun and sirus. Calm before the storm...

Expecting around 14 inches of snow tonight and tomorrow with lows heading down to -20F plus winds after the storm.

Blizzard + 4WD + cold = perfect Christmas shopping weather. No combat shopping :tazer because the stores will be empty!

Right now it's that nasty in between. I love snow and I love hot weather, but it's rainy, windy and cold right now. At this very moment it's 1C.

About 4C here just now. That's two weeks' worth of compacted ice starting to melt. Walking is tricky.
