We'll be working on balance changes, but we're definitely putting a major focus on issues/bugs being reported. When I have release notes for 1.4 to share, I'll get them pinned in the forums.
Thanks, Gstaff.

Money is not an issue for me... Mods I could care less about. However selling a game they clearly knew was broken is bad business. It's like selling a baseball bat that's cracked down the middle for full price

You could care less about mods that actually fixes all bugs and make a lot of things better and to your liking? Sounds like you really don't want a good game then.

Although a few extra damage perks in destruction would be nice, isntead of 2 , make 5, like in every other offensive skill.

Thanks, G. I hope the balance changes will help with the people doing exploits but not affect the people who have been working hard on building a good character...not everyone is having a problem.

Well, who is making the balance patch for a single player game right now?

Take your ritalin, kid.

Balance is one thing, like when you're a level 80 and a deathlord stomps all over you, that's a balancing issue. Potions that affect you outside of combat doesn't affect balance.

Nobody wants to play your twisted version of the game.

Its also our choice to have more money for a thing called A LIFE. Yeah, I can be a self righteous [censored] too.

I'm not sure I follow your argument?
First of all, why does managing your money the way you prefer make you a self righteous [censored]?
That's perfectly up to you, what you want to spend your money on.
If you prefer to buy the cheaper console, rather than the more expensive PC, you can still play the game, but don't expect to get the same out of it.
Similar, you can still drive if you prefer to buy a cheap rusty volkswagen 'bubble' but don't expect it to go as fast as a Ferrari.

Looking very much forward to seeing what that might be!

You didnt read my follow up response did you? Ill quote myself.

i was pointing out that I can be a complete p r i c k too. Obviously not all PC gamers are complete hermits, and vice versa, not all console gamers have a life, but point being, he was being a d o u c h e.

Just give me a game that works... I'm not that hardcoe. It doesn't need to be perfect.

You don't need to be hardcoe to enjoy a game the way it's mean to be.

I really dont get it why someone would complain about "game breaking crafting professions"; and expect Bethesda to issue a patch to "fix it" in whatever way the complainer thinks best.
Games like Skyrim can always be played in ways that exploit the mechanics of its systems to produce over-powered characters by the mid to late game, or even earlier. We all know it spoils the fun if you're god...so most players dont exploit the game mechanics. Those who do really shouldn't moan about it and ask Bethesda to gimp the mechanics. Just stop exploiting and power-gaming.
It's like another thread where a poster wanted a mod to remove fast travel..!!
Hello! ...if you dont want to use fast travel dont use it.
Anyway I hope that Bethesda will be working on real issues that enhance the gameplay for all players....and not on gimping the game to suit the OP and players who cannot discipline themselves to play the game 'fair'.

First off, fixing the bugs and glitches takes priority over everything else. Secondly, crafting could use a balance but then again, IT'S JUST A SINGLE PLAYER GAME so if you don't have the self control to limit yourself then that is your problem. If this was a competitive multiplayer game then it would be a completely different story but since it's not, get some self control.

To people giving the terrible "single playur game no need balants herp derp". I would like to be able to use Smithing and Enchanting without my character hitting god status. I personally do not have fun running around one shotting everything taking nil damage.
Who is forcing you to level them up like that? If you think alchemy, smithing and enchanting are getting too powerful then simply don't level them up and don't put any perk points in them. Or stop at a level you are comfortable with. How hard can it be? Those skills increase because you raise them and no one else. Invest in something you do think is worth the effort.

Edit: By the way, the above is not some hollow advice. I invest only in smithing. I never use alchemy or enchanting. I don't need those.

I just want the CK already. Bethesda hasn't done that great with patching games in the past. I'd much rather have the community be able to begin making patches. They should continue to patch Skyrim lite though.

Wild guess: Probably break the game even more.

What I would like to see:
- Enchanting nerfed hard(half of current max values or even harder)
- Spread the damage of all weapons a bit. Right now they increase by one point every "tier" which makes Smithing mandatory at higher levels unless you like slashing at an enemy for thirty seconds. Make that two point damage difference every tier leaving Iron as it currently is.
- Increase damage of spells all across the board by ~10-20% to compensate for the above.
- Nerf the bonus from upgrading weapons/armor to also compensate for the above.
- Smithing skill progress based on the value of the item created, just like Alchemy. Two Iron Ores create one Iron Ignot.
- Remove potions that increase non-combat skills from the game.
- Stop scaling enemies in the game off of non-combat skills.
Sorry but I am already sick of them NERFING a SINGLE PLAYER game to death. It is no ones fault but their own if they exploit things like enchanting and smithing. They already treat games like TES as MMOs with patching money exploits and crap and I have had enough of them killing the game because players can't control themselves.

I have max smithing and enchanting and still feel challenged on adept or higher. Because I don't make crap like 10,000 dmg weapons and armor rating 20,000....lol

Um not to mention if you are stupid enough to level speech from the get go you will be fighting in a much harder scaled world...yet another fail for scaling. Lockpicking and speech should not increase monster difficulty at all, and arguably for pick pocketing as well.

I would rather they fix the more serious bugs first, such as lagging and crashing, then minor bugs, then balancing, then CK.

definitely CK first. first of all bethesda doesnt really fix much. the unofficial patch fixed 3000 some issues with oblivion. now i dont expect them to get ever tree or rock just right but many of those "unofficial" fixes were necessary for some quests to complete properly. that SHOULD have been fixed by bethesda.

also, modders can whip up mini patches literally within minutes if they know what the issue is while bethesda bundles and tests there patch. that way people dont have to wait for days to finish their game.

and what is with this "they dont need to balance anything becaue its singleplayer game BS" what a stupid argument. the entire reason i stopped using duel wielding is because even on master level it makes the game too easy. i cant go back to using it until they *gasp* balance it.

they definitely need to fix smithing and enchanting so that it levels alot slower because im always in the 80s or 90s by the time i get to level 30 and that is just from smithing and enchanting stuff from materials i find dungeon diving. there is absolutely no justifiable reason that anyone should be able to make 10,000 damage weapons or 10,000 armor or completely negate spellcasting cost.........no justifiable reason other than those people just want to cheat and have an easy game. if thats what you want then get it on PC and use the console or mods. no vanilla game should ever have issues that big.

Since Bethesda wants to make a balance patch, it really makes more sense to release the patch first and then the CK. Otherwise mods will get broken again once the patch rolls out.
