FIX THE PS3 VERSION!!

Is there any way you could upgrade to the 360 version? I had the PS3 version as well, and it was garbage. On Xbox, it plays and looks far better.

Because everyone has a computer that can play Skyrim and/or had a choice about what console they have. Oh wait... that's just silly.

So.. your point is to limit everything to the lowest possible demeanor, or should we keep options for those who's capable of those options?

Ya I have an Xbox, but I'm not gonna fork out another $65 cause they sold me a broken game. If they don't fix it I'll just move onto something else. Diablo 3 should be out pretty soon!

funny thing is I have a 360 and I have a capable PC. Yet I chose to buy the game for PS3 because it's my preferred gaming device. Bad decision. It's not the end of the world if they don't fix it, plenty of other games out there. I just feel cheated because they hid the fact that the PS3 version of the game was broken.

A serious question, no offense intended: Why the PS3 over PC, if you got the capable PC?
You can hook the PC up to your TV, and use the PS3 controller (I'm guessing, you can use a Xbox controller at least).. what are the upsides left for the PS3?

What bethesda needs to do is fix their broken game that has been out for almost three months not *balance the game* it's completely pointless if something is overpowered then you have a choice to not use it.

Way to exaggerate! It won't even be two months until Jan. 11, 2012.

Yes, any way things can help people who can't even play should be first. I have a PS3 version and a PC version. Both work fine so far and I hope it stays that way.

That is what I'm doing. However, I can't take sneak, smithing, enchanting, and many spell schools, which drastically cuts the variety of characters I can make. That is not cool. With balanced skills, everybody is happy (those who like being overpowered can play on novice).
The other solution was leveing it up to something you are comfortable with. I don't see why you cannot do that. About the balanced skills: You don't hear me complaining. So, you shouldn't generalize. I am currently happy, except for destruction. That one could be raised a bit faster. I am sure a mod pops up that helps me with that one. If not then too bad. But I rather wish Beth concentrated on stability and quest bugs, rather than use their time on secundary things like balancing.

Read the posts in the thread
I've been posting in this thread since the beginning. No one said "Patch X now or by Y date." People have said things that they would like to have changed, but no one said that it must be done in the next patch or anything like that.

So.. your point is to limit everything to the lowest possible demeanor, or should we keep options for those who's capable of those options?
No, I'm saying the argument "You chose to get it for Xbox, maybe you should have gotten it for PC instead." is downright moronic considering not everyone has a PC. Even more so when that person was responding to someone that basically said "CK will be what fixes all the game problems so too bad for console players."

I can't wait for the CK, but it is not the end all solution for all problems with the game because not everyone can benefit from it. But if we get the CK first and thus have the ability to worry about glitches for ourselves while Bethesda does patches for all systems then that's just fine. But "USE PC NOOBS" is not a good response when talking about patches.

Beth promised a balance patch for January. What do you think they will do to the game?

I'm hoping they start by doing something about the game-breaking crafting professions. The big problem with them is that you have enough perks to not lose anything by taking a crafting profession or two, because skills such as lockpicking, pickpocket and speech do nothing for combat and can be very easily ignored. Also, the synergies between multiple crafting professions are insane, and well known.

Then I hope they fix Stealth, which is insanely overpowered and simplistic, tone down crazy perks such as Impact and Ranger, and do something about all the mediocre perks. Finally, I wish they'd fix the lockpicking, pickpocket and speech trees so they are more enticing.

How are the crafting skills game breaking?

Why would they balance something like the three crafting skills in a single player game, thats just stupid. All they need to do is put a cap on how high you can get things by combining the three, nerfing alchemy which is one of the most tedious things to do, or anything else would be ridiculously stupid.

It's a little too late Beth. Just release the CK so the modders can do what you couldn't.

It's your choice to buy the game on the X-box. If you liked vanilla oblivion, then it's perfectily fine. If you want the option to customize the game to your own preferences, then you should have bought it for a platform that supports that.

Bin there done that => Oblivion 360 & modded pc. It's just that i'm a cheap bastard, so it's the 360 for me this time around. Maybe later i'll buy a new one, but not for now.

Why balance the crafting skills at all?

It's a single player game. It's their toy. If they want to break it, then let them, as long as they have fun with it.

I am hoping for..

-Crafting professions get toned down a lot
-Master level spell improvements
-Werewolf scales better into late game
-Vampirism powers are improved, especially the drain

To people giving the terrible "single playur game no need balants herp derp". I would like to be able to use Smithing and Enchanting without my character hitting god status. I personally do not have fun running around one shotting everything taking nil damage.

What do you propose they do, only give you a perk every other level, thats [censored]. So people who have level 81's los perks, that would be ludicrous.

but more critical than anything else is the small number of enemies. when you play on master you should get flooded with forsworn, falmers and so on
and they should have enemies spawners until you get rid of the big boss

they should be more creative and dynamic in creating miniboss and special boosted versions of creatures

and finally there is a lack of supernatural support for our enemies
(shouldnt forsworn get legions of daedra to help .... there are verry few daedra types in this game)

I agree, with this. The lack of mini bosses in this game was astounding. If a mod could add in enemy shamans or conjurers that summoned formidable foes to the battle, then the game could be a lot stronger with a lot more dynamic fights. Morrowind had great mini bosses if I remember correctly...and Bring back the daedroth and ogrim.... **** the scamp though.

No, that is preventing people from getting weapons that do 100 thousand damage. You can loop alchemy, smithing and enchanting to do things like this, it would be no biggie to say cap weapon damage at 300 or so.
