Hmm, interesting for sure, didn't really get many answers though, I thought.

the answer of how they tied the stories together, what it actually means, who controls it, etc. I got that out of it.
It's pretty obvious that Eloise hawking is in control of it somehow, or knows what's going on.

I was playing call of duty with my friend, so I wasn't paying super close attention to this week's episode. Nice to see Faraday though.

Yeah but he wasn't really acting like Charlie though. Too much time on that other time traveler show I guess.

He was acting weird, yeah. But that may be because he was seeing the other world, and that was "changing" him somehow. I don't know though.

I reckon it's partly because he's still a drug addict and something to do with his vision of the real timeline.

Yeah, it could very well be drug related, since this IS supposedly taking place before the series ever started, because that was right after they got off the plane, before they were "supposed" to crash, and at that time, charlie was still a drugy.

My favorite part was Faraday thinking that he may have detonated a hydrogen bomb in some other time and place.

Yeah dude. I was just sitting on my couch and I was like "HAH!" throughout that whole segment. Such a great episode. I also loved the scene when desmon met penny. And then he fainted. bahaha.
IMO, Penny is a fox. That woman is so fine. Jeez.

...what just happened? My brain has been exploded now too many times because of this show. I have no idea how they are going to sum it up at the end. Just... wat.

:)
Isn't it awesome?
And for some reason, it's not all chaos to me. From what I have seen so far, and been able to digest/comprehend, it really makes sense to me.

oh MAN. Anyone else think tonights episode was absolutely great? I was wondering how they were going to tie in the two dimensions and they did it great I think. I honestly think this was my 2nd all time favorite episode, only second to the richard episode 2 weeks ago I think it was. Man. So many questions answered.

Yeah, I'm trying to figure how Eloise fits into everything. She seems to have some all encompassing knowledge..... ALJEF;OAIJF;OAIJD;FAJFD
Spoiler
Do you think she's the mother of the smoke monster??????? Related to Jacob somehow??????? Because if she was part of everything, her life and stuff would have been changed by the detonation of the bomb. The fact that she still knows all this stuff (and knows Desmond's motivations), means that 1) she's a super smart physicist and figured this out on her own not only in the original timeline, but in the parallel timeline, and in the parallel timeline to such an extent that she knows details of the original timeline, or 2) she exists outside of the system and is unaffected by changes made to it but can still act as an observer. I dunno, crazy stuff. Because she also talked to Desmond in that episode where he was off the island, and she was telling him stuff (I don't quite remember what).

Desmond also seemed pretty happy to go with Sayid.... and yeah, that was some real butt-kicking action on Sayid's part. Totally intense.

It was kind of funny seeing Widmore and Desmond being best pals, I was like, "aaaaahhhh!!!!"

Hmm.... other than that..... I dunno. Desmond's episodes are always intense. He's the center of so much stuff but he probably wants to get away and stay away more than anyone else in the story.

That's a very interesting theory. I've never thought about that, but Eloise does seem to somehow have her hand in everything. Even from the beginning, when we first saw her, she seems to be a mystical figure. She was there when desmond got the ring for penny, and she's been in a few other places that seem almost impossible. Kinda like how Jacob was there with all those people when he recruited them to the island. It's really weird.

Desmond's episodes are always intense.

Yes, they are. All of the Desmond episodes have been some of my favorites.

I also find it ironic (and humorous) that my three favorite characters on LOST (Richard, Desmond, and Daniel) aren't/weren't part of the original cast. It isn't that I don't like Sayid, Jack, Kate, Locke, et cetera, it's that, for some reason, I prefer those three people SO much more.

I still like Hurley more than any other character. I like my comic relief I guess.

In general, everything Hurley says is pretty hilarious.
But I also think Sawyer adds to the comic relief. Some of his lines,
Like a few episodes ago when he went to the other island, found that girl with the glasses, she led him into a trap, and he said, "take me to your leader.."
I laughed so hard.

Yeah, Sawyer says some good stuff.....

But every time Sayid gets into a fight it makes the other guy look like he was born yesterday... even when he doesn't want to fight.

So do ya think Desmond is gonna be the new caretaker? He is obviously gonna play a huge part in taking down "Locke".

I really think Hurley or Sawyer will be the new "caretaker" of the island. But that's just so far, that could easily change in the next few episodes.
I imagine after this weeks episode, things are really going to start picking up.

Was Desmond's name listed on the numbers? I don't remember.

Are the "cursed numbers" that Hurley used numbers that corresponded to candidates?

As for next caretaker- I'm thinking Jack.

Man of science turned man of faith turned protector of the very thing he's been trying to get away from this whole time. Sort of poetic in the way that Lost tends to get. He also seems to have some sort of relationship with Desmond- they are always running into each other. Desmond has spent a lot of time "protecting" the island, seems like it's going to be Jack's turn.
