Yes, you keep it. The main character can use a heavy weapon regardless of class.

Yeah without a heavy weapon you would have some trouble with a few enemies...

But I don't want to use a heavy weapon. I'm an Infiltrator, I don't want a huge block on my back. They will have to fix this.

Something cool to do is to singularity someone who still has shields up, then shoot them till the singularity gets them. It's great, they just ragdoll and flop up into the air.

Trust me, at a certain point in the game you will retract that statement :P

I have completed the game before. I forgot which part you mean (

if you are talking about the end boss I beat him without, I think. Just tell when it is, it's not really a spoiler...

Shepard: What's that?
Zaeed: It's space C4
Shepard: Is that any different from regular C4?
Zaeed: Yeah...it's in [censored] space.

I used the Missile Launcher with my Infiltrator, accurate and deadly, just as she is :D For my vanguard it's the flamethrower, and my soldier never upgrades from the grenade launcher. Flamethrower is the smallest of heavy weapons, but the ML isn't that big either.

The gun that comes with the terminus armor from gamestop, is that a heavy weapon or an assault rifle? :q
And what kind of gun do you get with the inferno armor?

Blackstorm is a grav gun heavy weapon, very good crowd control my second favorite heavy gun.

Then just carry the flamethrower and dont use it, always nice to have the choice, or use the avalanche, freeze people then shoot em.

I dont know about you but for me it was utter crap, missiles went off to the sides and on a mission collecting crates blew them up, even when aimed in the middle they still went to the side, accuracy is a problem for it.

Going with the standard N7 suit, the Grenade Launcher looked the best, so thats what I stuck to most of the time. :P

The Collector Particle beam was the best though, or so I thought. The ammo lasted long and it completley tore through collectors of all sorts.
Maybe not the best against the heavier enemies, but a combination of warp and overload took care of that. :)

Somehow I doubt you've played very far into the game.

Why would they "have" to "fix" something which isn't broken?

That's like being given the option of being dropped alone behind enemy lines with the best weapons and equipment available and refusing on the grounds that the most advanced body armor available, which would undoubtedly save your life in a bad situation, makes your butt look big.

I think he means it's just silly to have a class like the Adept who uses biotic powers and little pea shooters to be carrying a gigantic gun half the size of your torso on your back.
Also aesthetics, same reason I don't wear the full face helmets and armour.

And after ME2 atleast they will "fix" it the way he wants, becaus fix seems to mean remove from game.

I'm playing an Adept now on Veteran, and I really really need that rocket launcher to take out mechs.

The battle I had to really be careful about strategy and tactics was:

Spoiler
The battle just right before reaching Tali
.

ME3 needs a lot more battles like that. Less filler combat, more combat requiring well thought out tactics.

I really had fun taking that [censored] down!

Still 3/4 through the game.

How is having an unequip option for weapons removing them from the game?

Because anything in ME1 people wanted improved has been removed, look at the inventory and the mako.

I love that bit, to bad I hate that character so much.

Even when I'm romancing her (why?) she goes on about the [censored] flotilla.

But the inventory was both crap and unwieldly and the hammerhead is a better replacement for the mako, and coming as free dlc.

I have no desire to play this game again. It felt very long and linear. Playing on insanity would mean more hiding behind crates and longer boss fights with even less ammo. But apparently you can get a special geth assault rifle if you play on veteran/insanity which is unlocked nearly at the end of the game.

What am I gonna use it for then? My third play through? Yah right... :P

I prefer the system in ME2.

I don't like that I was forced to choose another weapon specialisation however. I chose the assault rifle and now I find myself just blasting everyone with it, no longer using my pistol and smg. Ammo is everywhere so... =/

But anyway.
