Mass Effect 2

But the inventory was both crap and unwieldly and the hammerhead is a better replacement for the mako, and coming as free dlc.

We havent seen the hammerhead yet, and places to use it will be limited, the inventory was better as here I am stuck with crappy guns until I find another gun. Plus in ME 1 I could choose lots of skills, in ME2 you can just max almost everything except one leaving little difference between characters.
I have no desire to play this game again. It felt very long and linear. Playing on insanity would mean more hiding behind crates and longer boss fights with even less ammo. But apparently you can get a special geth assault rifle if you play on veteran/insanity which is unlocked nearly at the end of the game.

What am I gonna use it for then? My third play through? Yah right... :P

I got it on veteran rescuing tali. Cant use it as a vangaurd though.
As for te hiding behind things I wasnt to happy at times shep wouldnt shoot around corners and die, wouldnt crouch and would die, wouldnt leave and die and would vault over and die, rare but annoying.

The first time my team got repeatedly owned by its attacks which made the fight very annoying. Especially since I had already burnt all ammo of the Collector Beam Rifle in the fights before that.

Who was on your team I use mordins incinerate and mirandas warp to lower barriers, before using the beam rifle, just spam squad powers.

Not sure if you played fallout 3, but did you ever find that you got yourself into a tough situation and you felt that you could just nuke yourself out of it with the fatman, but at the same time you were worried about wasting your precious ammo supply?

Thats how I felt when I came across this thing. I ended up unloading all my rockets on it and continued on rather quickly. Unlike mini nukes, heavy ammo in ME2 can be upgraded and replenished quite fast. As for Scions, use a flame thrower on em.

I m not fussy on the nuke heavy weapon, ammo is annoying, collector beam ftw, kills scions quick too.

Damn, I thought I'd be able to ask about the Shepard Vi later in that conversation and missed it, need to remember that on this playthrough :P

Each Geth is a nation unto itself. Why would you want a nation as a pet? They are made up of hundreds or thousands of Geth, their bodies being nothing more than mobile platforms. :P

Which in my opinion would be like having a nation of pets but in one body.

Somehow I doubt you've played very far into the game.

Why would they "have" to "fix" something which isn't broken?

That's like being given the option of being dropped alone behind enemy lines with the best weapons and equipment available and refusing on the grounds that the most advanced body armor available, which would undoubtedly save your life in a bad situation, makes your butt look big.

I thought in the soldier class was the only class to have heavy weapons, or was that the assault rifle?

Just to make sure I'm clear on the ending:

Spoiler
There's no way to save the entire "minion"-crew, that is, those who the Collectors kidnap right? I thought I didn't care, but passing Donnelly alone in the engine room, the Mess Sergeant being gone and most of all, Chambers, makes me miss them more than I thought I would =(

You can save all of them. I think there's an achievement for it.

I just beat the game on normal
Spoiler
with all members of my team and crew surviving. Had Legion take the tubes, Garrus as first team leader, Miranda as second team leader, Samara for my biotic, and Mordin on escort duty. The final boss was a bit off-putting though. Kind of odd, and I must say I didn't really see the point of it in the first place. I mean, a giant robot? Really?

Now I'm going through the game on insanity with the same character. I'm not looking forward to the

collector ship
at all. It's a good thing my character was a soldier. Insanity with anything else seems like it would be impossible. All the enemies have shields and armor, or just armor at the very least. So much for biotics...
