One shotting anything with a dagger is ridiculous

It's a strawman's argument.

What question? It had nothing to do with the problem

Just because some people like things the way they are, does not mean they shouldn't be changed. You are saying, that because some people (this being an unquantified number) are fine with overpowering the game, and that Bethesda should keep things that way to suit this unquantifiable number. Well, I say, that if people really want to do that, then why aren't they playing with cheat codes?

Are there cheat codes for this game? I don't think there are, but if there were you'd have something to go on.

If there aren't any cheat codes though, you may as well ask "If people really want to do that, then why aren't they flying around in space stations and laser beaming Whiterun with a Death Star blast?"

I am talking about the quality and mechanisms of the base game. Whether I have a pc or not is inconsequential. The base game obviously does not have a cheat screen, because you know...maybe Bethesda doesn't want you to cheat?

why do you think the game keeps track of stolen goods?
why do you think that shop keepers have limited funds?

these are all done because they balance the game. That's good design, and it shows that Bethesda somewhat understands good design. So if we accept that Bethesda wants good design in their games, it seems fair to point out where they might have missed something.

Putting all the perks into the Sneak tree is not required by the game. If you this and then complain then Bethesda should have the right to telekinetically make you slap yourself for idiocy. It is YOUR fault that your attacks are too strong and in a game where you are not cheating anybody else out of entertainment (ie multiplayer games) there is no such thing as unfair

The game gives you OPTIONS. Personally I had a ton of fun playing a Demi-god character, when I want to. And I have a ton of fun playing an average Joe to, but I love the idea that Beth gives you the option to be overpowered, or the option to not be. Nothing in the game is forcing you to one hit a dragon with a dagger.

Wrong again. It's Bethesda's fault that my attacks are too strong, because they apparently cannot into game mechanics and balance. They set the base numbers and values for everything in the game, not me. If they designed it so that you instantly died the moment you loaded up the game, would that be your fault or theirs? If they made every single enemy have 1000 health at level 1, wouldn't that be unfair, even if its not a multiplayer game?

More strawman arguments. The game has MANY trees, choose a different one and stop crying. A lot of people including me enjoy being an assassin and doing what assassins do (as in killing quickly and quietly) so just because you and a few others hate to be victorious that gives you no right to attempt to piss on what others enjoy. You keep making impossible examples of things that do not exist to back-up an argument that is OPTIONAL and does not detract from the game if you DO NOT USE IT. Get over yourself and play the damn game

That does not make my argument wrong. It is never okay to blame the player, for an error in design that is out of their control. And It does not matter if it is optional or not. Having to ignore entire skill trees is bad game design, period.

I'm not gonna get into this argument because obviously my opinion is different than yours, but I think the game is fine and I don't want it changed at all.

No a design flaw is one that is damaging or detracting of the game, while this one is the result of 1 perk of which you are obviously too stupid to NOT get. Say it with me "Dont Get The Assassin's Blade Perk". It is a good part of the game and your opinion is irrelevant considering that someone who uses terrible strawman arguments will be ignored by Bethesda for lack of solid evidence or even basic social skills. So keep complaining, you only further the depth of which everyone thinks you are an imbecile

I like how you have resorted to personal attacks against me, as a person you know nothing about, instead of my argument or view point. The insults are a sure sign of maturity and composure.

It's impossible to hold an argument, when it is willfully ignored. But here, let me make it more clear in case you never got it.

1. 15/30x sneak attack is overpowered because there is nothing in the entire game that can survive it, so it is not needed, because it is overkill.
2. The Ai is stupid, which makes sneaking way too easy, along with the perks being way too good.
3. Stealth in my opinion, is supposed to be a very high risk, high pay off play style, there is no risk or effort the way it is because it is too easy. It is all pay off, no effort.
4. Good game design rewards players for putting forth effort, and overcoming the game's challenges.
5. There is no challenge, when everything is too easy, and impossible to fail.
6. If there is no chance to fail, there is no chance to excel.

Here is my List:
1. Playstyle is Optional, therefore your entire argument is invalid. Even the Thieves Guild and Dark Brotherhood questlines can be completed perfectly by a pure brute warrior. Sneak is not-forced so stop whining and chose a different tree

The factor it plays clearly isn't important enough to matter in the actual mechanics.

I have only 1 point in sneak.
If I approach at more than a crawling speed I get detected.

It's all how you spend your perks.

Make some choices people.

Bethesda creates worlds.
It's up to you to create your character and your story.
That's how they've always done it.
That's why we love them.

It is not unbalanced you imbecile. It is the PURPOSE of using a dagger since it is too weak to use in straight combat. Stealth killing is about targeting vital areas which anything living or even unliving has. It is optional and THAT is why it is balanced

1. 15/30x sneak attack is overpowered because there is nothing in the entire game that can survive it, so it is not needed, because it is overkill. But some people like them, so Bethesda put them in the game for an option.

2. The Ai is stupid, which makes sneaking way too easy, along with the perks being way too good. Then don't take them. Perks aren't mandatory...they give you special powers and abilities that aren't needed all the time....some never. I rarely take perks. I think not taking them improves gameplay. It's all about player choice.

3. Stealth in my opinion, is supposed to be a very high risk, high pay off play style, there is no risk or effort the way it is because it is too easy. It is all pay off, no effort. Don't put points in health, don't max sneak, don't max armor skills. You'll see the challenge.

4. Good game design rewards players for putting forth effort, and overcoming the game's challenges. Put forth the effort in creating a character that has the skills and abilities you want. You'll be rewarded and you'll find challenges.

5. There is no challenge, when everything is too easy, and impossible to fail. You made the choices to make everything easy. Don't do that anymore. Your car has the ability to go about 150mph. Do you feel like you have to go that fast all the time...if ever...just because you can? Same with character creation and perks.

6. If there is no chance to fail, there is no chance to excel. Stop creating godlike characters then. The fix for your problem is at your fingertips...it's all...ALL...within your control.

I'm sorry, but you are clearly the imbecile here, as you obviously, completely ignored my prior post.

LISTEN

I am okay with daggers one shotting, as long as it is difficult to do. HIGH RISK, HIGH PAY OFF.

The problem is, that it is too easy, and you don't just one shot things, you one shot them and then some. I repeat, NOTHING in the game, has enough health to justify 15x/30x backstab damage.

I already play on master, have ever since level 10. Also, I am not sure that word means, what you think it means. I have been 100% on topic with the original post of this thread.

To troll is to seek the annoyance or enragement of others over the internet for personal satisfaction through argumentative or otherwise unsporting endeavors. In words you can comprehend "You are being a Twit"
