Patch 1.2 Unofficial Thread

Bethesda, you need an actual "Bug report page", not a mixing-pot of BS forum postings which topple emotion with real issues.

Not difficult to make a custom thread with specific text-boxes for...

PASTE your DX-Diag text here. (Might want to make this a profile option for us. Save yourself multiple file uploading.)
PASTE your SKYRIM.INI text here.
PASTE your SKYRIMPREFS.INI text here.
PASTE your RendererInfo.txt text here.

SELECT (Common known issue from list)

Type NEW-ISSUE-1
Type NEW-ISSUE-2
Type NEW-ISSUE-3
Type NEW-ISSUE-4

Type ADDITIONAL NOTES

That page should be hard-linked into the first post of every new topic page created. So everyone see's it, even those who come from external links, mid-post on a topic.

Also, possibly a, "Bethesda approved, temporary fix." that resolves or limits issues which do not require downloading a new patch. (Like restoring the INI by deleting it. Removing possible hack-plugins created by using fallout-3 tools, not designed to be compatable with this game. Etc...)

Since the update I've found myself unable to play for more than 10-20 minutes at a time with a crash to desktop, which doesn't seem to be linked to anything in particular. I've had it crash when I use a door to enter a building, when I'm running through Skyrim itself and inside shops.

Also upon eating a load of ingrediants at once to learn some basic effects on a new character the screen became completely yellow for a couple of seconds when I left the menu.

RUS Steam version, 1.2 update. This patch (steam auto-updated the game 20 mins ago) broke my game. Completely.
Am I the only one who bought RU version of this Bugger-Fall-2 on Steam here? I can't close any book if I read it from outside of backpack

some :\

All people who are having issues have you got any mods installed? Mods designed for older versions of the exe file can and often does create problems. The only issue I had was a quick crash immediately after patching but verifying the integrity of the cache in steam has fixed that. I have no problems with the menus, or mouse sensitivity and I have no mods installed. Just a thought

I got a new issue that I didn't see anywhere else in this thread.

I play Skyrim on PC with a 360 controller. No problems with the controller until this patch and here is how it goes:

1. select continue game as usual
2. Enter game and realize my "A" button doesn't work. This isn't entirely true as I can still jump (I use A for jump) but when interacting with ANY menu option the A button does nothing. I cant track quests, I cant save/load my game, I cant change my control button layout.

I finally fixed pretty much all the problems I had with the previous patch and now this patch takes away my 360 controller! I was fine with the last patch and now this patch being forced upon us is doing more harm than good.

My mouse is now changing speeds depending on where i am on the map. It gets faster and slower. Up down movement seems faster the left/right movement.

When i first started the game i couldn't even move my mouse up or down.

It's a normal USB mouse.

No problem before the patch.

And it won't, at least not with your current save, the changes to ini effect the save file, changing the ini back to default makes it incompatible with the save, especially if you had uGrids higher than 5.
Yeah, this is to be expected, too. I suggest anyone who changed any .ini settings to set Skyrim.ini and SkyrimPrefs.ini to read-only before applying any future patches.
