Any1 else notice any mage nords in Sovngard wearing archmage robes? That sounds really hard to miss. The closest thing to that I've noticed was guys in Greybeard robes. Thats about it.

That was Windcaller, he is the leader of the Greybeards. You gotta make sure to pay attention

I've played an almost pure warrior, a rogue, and an almost pure mage on expert, and I get along just fine. My mage doesn't even wear armor or use mage armor.

Yeah. I went around and looked at EVERYONE. I saw pleny of mages, and like someone said before, Tsun will see much honor in you if you are Archmage. And to make it clear, Tsun is one of the oldest and greatest Nord heros, so he may not be a mage, but he obviously has a great deal of respect for them.

That's why I just keep the difficulty on Normal lol. When changing the difficulty only change the health it does tend to screw things up.

You have the worst interpretation of a "true nord" I have ever heard. Jurgen Windcaller is (IMO) the greatest nord hero of all time. His teachings helped the Greybeards and Paarhturnaax become what they are today, and you wouldn't be to kill Alduin without theier help.

I know who Jurgen windcaller is. Him and the guy fighting with you holding the two handed sword is who I was referring to. I was paying attention. No mages in Sovngard.

You shouldnt require spotting a mage, Tsun says Magic is the oldest Nord Art and since he is the most bad@ss Nord there is, that should be good enough

Do you honestly think that nords are only good at being melee tanks and--- *looks at your location* oh, he's probably a Stormcloak, that explains his terrible belief of what a true nord is :facepalm:

Game too difficult? Maybe turn down the difficulty? I understand where you're coming from, but it's a very easy fix, from what your major gripes are. There are many things wrong about Skyrim, and a lot of things I found to be a lot better than previous TES's, but [censored]ing about the difficulty of the game when there's multiple levels of difficulty is stupid.

I am a stormcloak actually...Anyway I dont think a nord "cant" use magic, I'm just saying that they dont and I dont think they've ever been widely excepting of magic like other races. Also, I never said anything about what a "true" nord was, although you seem to be a filthy imperial legion scumbag, so....yea.

At least melee combat is the most honest combat there is. Not just hiding around or burning and buzzing people you see from distances.

Ulfric is ruining the nords grasp of history /:

The hate for mages was only recent becasue of the College, most nords think they destroyed Winterhold (for good reason), but if you take a mage and walk near guards, they are VERY excepting of your abilities, if your Restoration is high enough they practically thank you for being a mage. And every guard is a nord.

Because trying to complement a theives guild or DB master would be going too far. Mages can still fight honorably and DB and theives guild require u to murder or steal.

Typical Brutish absolutism. The EXACT only reason i wont join the Stormcloaks. I like Ulfric and i think the Empire is broken but that crap just makes Skyrim a lost cause

Whatever you have to say. I say that whatever type of combat keeps you alive is the one you should use. If you aren't good at melee then use magic or bows. If you aren't good at using a bow then use melee or magic. There is no "honest" form of combat because no matter how you look at it you're still taking another life, and there is no worse thing to do, even if you had to to stay alive.

Nord hate of magic is definately not recent to winterhold. Oblivion nords didnt care for magic either.
