Skyrim is really boring now.

You have absolutely no idea what kind of person I am, you're basing it of a comment I made, assuming you were exaggerating your game hours. Even disregarding sleep, that magnitude of game hours is ridiculously high.

Seek the help you need, and I wish you the best.

I wasn't exaggerating, I also highly doubt you wish the best of anyone, with snide comments like that, with no prior knowledge, you can just pass judgement on someone's playing habits. But it's cool, I wouldn't understand being a casual. Good luck in your gaming endeavors.

131 hours in. Several characters.
Imperial did Civil war on Empire side, got married, gained the house in Solitude and did the MQ.
Nord, did the Stormcloak side of Civil war.
Kajit did the thieves guild.
Argonian did the Dark Brotherhood.
I have a Nord currently doing the Champions guild questline.
I have a Hunter I am developing on a Dragonslayer build I found who does no quests whatsoever except the start of the MQ to trigger the Dragons.
I have an Orc who I will just bum around with for another change of pace.
I have a Mage who has done the Mages guild.

I try and play each one in a way that suits their character ie I rp them. I have probably not even seen half the map yet, my Dragonslayer and Orc can do the exploring.

I am enjoying every second I play, alternating between each character to suit my mood.

I expect I will put in hundreds of hours of total enjoyment as I did with Daggerfall, Morrowind and expansions, and Oblivion and expansion.

I will eventualy once the CK comes out and we get some great mods start to add things to the game to keep my characters and the game playable, something for all of them. It will take me till the next TES to probably get bored with the game. I will consider money well spent as I have done in all of them, fualts and all, for the longevity of the enjoyment I have experienced.

I am thankfully a happy bunny.

It was hardly snide, I was pointing out how insane that number of hours is. You obviously took the worst possible interpretation of my comment so you can reply in a superior manner, which your in no position to do considering how hypocritical you are being. The judgements you are making about me based on the comment I made, that you 'doubt I wish the best of anyone' are based on nothing, that is just pure malicious.

There really isn't much justification for playing 450 hours on a game that has been out little over a month, to me that is a huge waste of time.

I'm an aspiring doctor, with nothing but the greatest sympathy for people with distressing/painful illnesses, get the help you need and I DO wish you the best for your condition.

Oh, well, I guess that's the great thing about not having to work, being an aspiring inheritor of a large sum of money, twice, again, judgement, judgement everywhere.

Start a new character. If you can't find something amusing to do in a game like Skyrim after having only played 70 hours (yes, only) it's a personal failing. Boredom should only statr t set in around the 300-400 hour mark, all characters combined.

Skyrim was a load of fun when I first got it, I'm now 70 hours in. With Dragon Armour and about 50k gold, and there really isn't much to do anymore. I have the best weapons, and the best armour and there really seems to be no point to carry on.

Anyone else feel the same way?

Time for you to go back to WOW....

In all honesty I would rather crafting be taken out of the game entirely and go solely to a unique and random drop system. This is far more appealing and rewarding to FIND gear. I don't see any benefit of having crafting in the game other than to try to replicate an MMORPG system.

soo... am I the only one that noticed any irony here? no...... alright.....

Why does it seem like this thread has become nothing but a highschool arguement. If you no longer enjoy the game, move on. If you have played if for over 100-200 hours and you still enjoy it, good for you. I can see why you would want to point out somethings that you think should be improved on, but understand that evey game is not going to be tailored to you. Most continue to enjoy the game despite any improvements they think should be in it.

Yeah, I felt that way after beating the main quest at hour 121. I'm taking a break from Skyrim to play inFamous 2. Hopefuly after I'm done with inFamous 2 , Skyrim won't feel as boring. I hit this wall of non-entertainment on Oblivion and I took an extended break from it, too. But when I came back to it, man, did I play the crap out of it. I'm sure it will be the same way with Skyrim.

Quests?
Often shallow and repetitive.
Exploring?
Often annoying thanks to the worthless map and abundance of obstacles.
Dungeons?
Not enough variety in the enemies, puzzles, and the loot generally svcks.
Roleplaying?
Game is too restrictive for any really satisfying roleplay.
Combat?
The combat is very shallow.

K I complain just as much as the next person but this is a great game. It is fun but it just does not have the charm of the previous game. Apply your own definitions of charm to the video games as you will. There is definitely something missing from it and there are all sorts of people trying to figure out just what that is. For me. It is the quests. They are short, listless, impact-less and unrewarding. There is also a good deal less lore and fantasy monsters in this game in comparison to others.

Everything else is bearable or great imo. 8.9/10

What the hell? 70 hrs is more then average. Get a new game don't come to the forums trolling.

+1 Can't believe people bother coming here after playing for 70 hours to complain the game is getting boring, it really makes me quite sad really :( So many ways of trying something new like exploring!

I spent over 100 hours just exploring and doing the Imperials Vs Stormcloak quests to even start the MQ with the Greybeards etc, my God its not complicated to change things up, try a pure mage? A thief charachter, I chose a mobile, light armored Elf Ranger for this exact reason, UBER, Heavy Armor and two hand wielding charachters ALWAYS get boring and over-powered in RPG's IMO.

"Dude, this book I just bought is [censored], its missing the last 300 pages......."
"Yeah but dont worry, its a 1000 pages book so you got a good 700 out of it, thats more then most pocket formats will offer you!"

Terribad argument is terribad.

Can't deny the game did, to some extent, leave me unsatisfied,- since so much more could be squeezed out of this great game...

We all play in different ways, and this is not an everlasting mmorpg...

Then again, Bethesda could have done some tweaks to prolong the experience for those who want this, and god forbid, entice replay?

For example:

* hardcoe trophies/achievements - some might facepalm, but for me as a completist, this would prolong my fun extensively.
* a hardcoe difficulty above master (squeeze out all you can within intended mechanics and still be challenged without self-gimping).
* less available perks with each increase of difficulty.
* tone down the rewards from crafting. The best gear should not be self-made. Exploring and doing dungeons in late game = still feels rewarding.
* money has no meaning whatsoever way too early in the game. We need moneysinks. Money also too easy to get in non-glitched ways.
* stats/reputation/ranks beyond the base quests for factions, whether it is slaying imperials or beeing a master assasin for the Dark Brotherhood.
* tougher guards! harsher concequences.
* nice homes that does not force you into the main questlines. Expensive and hard to get is alright though.
* better home improvement options.

This is just a few things. So many things can be done to make so much more out of the game they have created.

And please no "get mods" comment... ;)

I absolutely agree with this. Also, I think instead of simply another difficulty past Master, they need to give us more options we can use to make the game more difficult outside of the difficulty settings which only tone down the damage you deal and up the damage you take. There is a lot more that can be done to make the game more difficult without you being one-shot and mobs taking forever to kill. For example, we need the ability to set the minimum level off set of enemies from our character level, enable elite or special "named" enemies at a more frequent interval, give enemies access to deadlier arsenal, BETTER AI and pathing etc. I find it disheartening that in games like Fallout if I want to up the difficulty I have to introduce stupid tedious things into the game like having to feed and rest etc.

I just started playing the game today and am completely loving it. I know what to expect with Bethesda games and today I spent a whole 22 minutes trying to jump simultaneously in to a part of water where salmon jump upstream to try and catch one. Now obviously I could have just swam underwater to see the other fish and collect one as its easy enough, but wheres the fun in that. I also spent 30 minutes hunting a rabbit. Quite time consuming considering how small they are and how crap I am with a bow, but nonetheless its little things like this that gives a break from doing quests and fighting all the time.

Then after 6 hours of doing some of the main quest I had fun in the console and spawned different enemies and factions to watch them brawl. 7 Imperial Wizards against 2 frost dragons and a couple dragons.

The point is, with these types of games there are loads to keep me entertained and I haven't even bothered devoting time to look for notes and peoples journals to see what secrets I can uncover.

I'm over 200 hours and have all (????) the main quests done and a lot of the side quests as well. Have over 300 locations found on the map and thought I had found everything. AND THEN I picked up a couple of books and began reading them. Not only were the stories interesting, but I noticed I was getting "map updated" notices in the upper left hand corner of my screen. Whatta you know, there's bunches of places I still haven't found and some of them are right next to places I've been. I started a new character and was going to go a different route until I discovered these little gems in the books. Deleted the new character and now reading whatever books I haven't read before.

Also noticed that if I listen to what some of the NPCs around me say that I get map updates as well.

Guess what I'm trying to say is that still enjoying my first game even after 200 hours playing time and still finding new and interesting things to do.

7 hours of skyrim feels like 1 hour of any other RPG, that's the problem.

If they made it less engaging, I bet those they could make those 70 hours feel like a bloody lifetime. I suggest mailing them about it.
