Jumping off the throat of the world into water and thinking I would survive.

I have another one, similar to this!

Fighting Alduin on Throat of The World, with a mod that makes dragons a HELL of a lot harder to kill (can't remember what it's called) and I ran backwards away from him, firing arrows at him...before falling over the edge of the mountain :(

It's just something said by people who think they've said something "clever".

I guess the only silly death I can recall for myself would be slipping off a cart.

Fighting some undead in a dungeon, phone rang, thought I paused and answered it to come back to my corpse. damm it. Mobile phones in Skyrim can be hazardous to your life.

This isn't really the games fault, but when I was riding on my horse, my keyboard just stoped working for some reason, so I was just moving forward with no way to stop, pause, or even dismount. I eventually fell off a cliff

While admiring the view your being pushed over the edge by: follower/atronach/chicken/goat/other.

Your character really is a push-over

Off topic. What does that Become Ethereal shout do for you? The description has convinced me that it's useless, but since you use it, I'd like to know what I can get out of it. Thanks in advance.

For me, it's the most useful shout I have found. Jump off mountains, survive Dragon breath attacks without cover nearby (not vanilla Dragons of course :D), let a horde of enemies surround you while slowly preparing a desasterous spell, and much more.

Just having the effect wear off sooner than you expected is the key to a stupid way to die :D

Dont know if a shout's effects would be considered spoilery or not, but
Spoiler
Prevents you from dealing or taking any damage while its active. You can heal, use potions, run away.

Touching the spikes in the pit trap trying to get at the gold that was too close to the spikes in Halted Stream Camp???

I was just going to post that! :P Yes that has definitely happened to me, I was shocked at how amazingly deadly those spikes were even though I had barely touched one...

Wowwweeee!!! I was going to avoid the Dragonborn quests with my future mage (who has only been conceived in my mind)... not anymore!!! Thanks. Just the ability to leap off of mountains reminds me of the levitate days of Morrowind. Thanks for the information!

Careful, with the really tall mountains, sometimes the effect wears off before you hit the ground. Although it has to be a REALLY tall cliff,

Having Barbas for a companion while attempting to traverse a mountain range. Bonus points if you (like I do) play Dead-is-Dead.

(For those who don't know: while you might stop moving, he doesn't, and he always travels directly behind you.)

Needless to say, ever since that particular fiasco I get rid of him ASAP before going mountain climbing.

My horse was on the egde of a stairway when it came to a mountainous range. For some reason when trying to back my horse away from the edge it decided that I wanted to go forward. Having my horse and me plummit down to the ground. My horse survived I did not.

Yeah, one time I was riding my horse outside Windhelm. I ried turning arund, and my horse decided to go forward and went off the bridge, but I survived while it died.
Another time I was riding a horse on my way to Northwatch Keep. I dont recall how, but it went over a cliff, and then threw me off on the way down. And it was a long way down.

My first death in this game was from a mudcrab, I was killed in two shots before I knew what was happening.
