Name: Fenrick
Race: Breton
Age: 31

Ulfgar was an old nordic warrior who roamed the land of Tamriel as a soldier for hire. During one of his travels through Vvardenfell he met a young Dunmer wench whom he fell in love with. To live with his beloved elf, Ulfgar decided to settle in the Dark-Elven province and forsake his mercenary days. Shortly after his marriage the Red Mountain erupted destroying most of the province and killing his wife along with thousands of residents. Emotionally destroyed, Ulfgar wandered the lands of Tamriel once again trying to run from his sorrow and leave his sad memories behind him. Taking sustainance from what nature provided he no longer cared about his future.

His travels led him to Camlorn, High Rock, when he realised his old body could no longer stand the life in the wilderness and so he became a beggar in the streets of the big city. Not that it was any easier to survive there than in the wilds but at least he didn't have to hunt or avoid being hunted by savage beasts on a daily basis.

The year was 4E 170 and while roaming the crowded streets of the "Jewel of West", Ulfgar entered a dark alleyway in search for a quiet place to take a nap. When he was almost falling asleep he heard the sound of what seemed to be a baby crying near a pile of barrels and wooden crates. Upon checking closely he found a newborn baby boy. The image of that defenseless little child left to his own fate broke the old man's heart. Ulfgar took the baby as his own and raised him as best as he could. He named the boy Fenrick wich means wolf in an ancient Nordic dialect. It was hard enough to find food and shelter for himself, let alone a baby but he did his best to protect his adopted son.

Ulfgar told Fenrick about all the adventures he had during his travelling days, often exaggerating a little and also taught the boy how to defend himself. During the harsh winter of 4E 184 Ulfgar died leaving young Fenrick completely alone in this world for the second time in his life.

Fenrick decided he no longer wanted to live in the streets and left Camlorn to search a new life in the outskirts of the big city. There he met Cienne, a young and beautiful lady that shared with him a common past of street life. She told him about a group of thieves who lived in the woods and robbed merchants coming in and out of Camlorn. She said they were a nice bunch and would give her food and coins for valuable information about things going on around the city. Cienne took Fenrick to the thieves where he asked to join them. At first they laughed at him but as soon as he disarmed two of their members with a swift strike of this blade they decided to give him a chance. Fenrick not only joined the group of thieves but he became their leader after a few years. Robbing from rich merchants and noblemen they almost never employed violence, usually getting in and out of the crime scene undetected. Even though their actions were famous in a large region ranging from Daggerfall to Wayrest noone could tell who they were or where they hid.

That was till one day when one of the group members betrayed them for gold telling a nobleman who was their next victim about what was about to happen. The guards set up a trap and all of the group was killed except for Fenrick who managed to escape. When he went back to their hideout he found the place torn apart and guards waiting for him. He decided that staying in High Rock was too dangerous now that his identity was no longer a secret and so he fled to Skyrim, the homeland of his father Ulfgar. For the third time in his life, Fenrick was completely alone.

[MINOR SPOILERS BELOW]

Morndas, 17th of Last Seed 4E 201

As I wandered off the road looking for a patch of water to refill my canteen I heard some voices coming from a cave nearby. Approaching the cave I could see some armed men studying a map. They had horses and wore uniforms showing they were not bandits but soldiers. I never got along with authorities so I decided to keep my distance and move away but when I turned around another group of soldiers with different uniforms came out of nowhere and attacked the camp. One of them saw me and before I could say a word I was sorrounded by three swordsmen. I didn't even try to tell them I wasn't part of the group, if they wanted to believe this then they would have noticed I didn't wear an uniform, so why waste my breath? They took me along with the other men in carriages to a nearby town called Helgen. I was finally in Skyrim, fleeing from High Rock to avoid being arrested and condemned to death only to be arrested and condemned to death by mistake in my father's homeland. The irony here is amusing.

On our way to the town a man called Ralof told me about some sort of conflict going on in the province, some sort of civil war but I didn't care much about it. All I could think about was how I would get myself out of this situation. As soon as we arrived in Helgen they led us to what they called "the block" where they carried the death sentences. When I was about to literaly loose my head I saw something I thought I would never see. A dragon came out of nowhere and started attacking the city. Everyone was in panic but I was relieved. That was my chance. In the middle of the chaos I managed to survive with the help of Ralof and an imperial guard called Hadvar. Later when we were out of town Hadvar told me more about this conflict between the Stormcloaks and the Empire. He asked me to search for him in a place called Solitude to join the empire forces but I didn't care. I'm in a foreign land, I have almost been decapitated and I had no idea where to go. I had enough problems of my own without having to worry about local politics.

Me and Hadvar parted ways and I found a little village called Riverwood. Hadvar told me about this village and about a relative of him living there that maybe could help me. I could hardly see how this relative would be of any use but if I happen to meet this man I should mention Hadvar. I headed straight to the town's shop to resupply. When I came in I overheard the shopkeeper and a woman arguing about something. I bought what I needed and before leaving I asked the man what the arguing was all about. He said his shop has just been robbed by some bandits living in the mountains nearby and only one item was stolen. He asked me to retrieve it and offered gold. I could use some gold to get better equipment, potions and better food. Alse the job didn't seem to be very difficul, after all he didn't ask me to kill those bandits, only to take the item back. I've been taking things from other people for all my life, I'm good at this. I stopped at the local inn to rest and wait till it gets dark so I can head to the bandits camp and get that artifact. I like the darkness, it's been my best friend since Ulfgar died.

Name: Balal
Race: Redguard
Profession: Shadowsmith
Level: 6

Almost four hours logged, playing on default difficulty.

So far, spending skills points in stealth / 1 handed

Picking up skill in those as well as blacksmithing. Stealth archery is also getting heavily used.

All level points till around 10 are going into health then I'll probably flirt with endurance / magica.

When I figure out alchemy I'll probably try some stuff with it as well, right now I'm just eating ingredients I'm finding (butterflies are awesome).

Looking forward to posting more updates.

My first D.i.D. character since I actually played AD&D 2nd edition. =)

Shurr Slowfoot the Argonian started his morning by rolling up his bedroll and packing his tent after a morning breakfast of salmon. He made his way over the border into Skyrim. He was ambushed on his way to Riften, where he was going to join up with his Shadowscale brothers. He spent the next 2 hours on a slow cart to Helgan to be executed for no reason. As luck would have it some crazy "stuff" went down and he made it out alive.

He wanders out of the cave with the help of Hadvar. He explored the country side some, fought off some bandits and did some hunting. Riverwood was the first town he came to, the people were nice and bought his extra equipment and he rested at the Inn. In the morning Shurr helped out a couple with their relationship problems and took up a quest to help the nice merchant get his treasure back.

Making to Bleak Falls Barrow was the easy part, recovering the treasure was the hard part. Two times during the journey he came close to meeting Sithis but he prevailed. The treasure leaded to
Spoiler
a great wall with magical power and knowlege.
After returning the treasure to the nice merchant and spending the rest of the day hunting he brushed up on some smithing skills and made some nice new leather armor to go with his looted magical weapons.

Having had a full day of hard work and a crazy adventure he beds down at the Inn again with the plan to make it to Whiterun in the morning before restarting his journey to Riften.

I hope you guys like Shurr's adventure. I'm no writer but I figured I'd try to give it a try.

"Tenetur in Aeternum"
He is immortalized in the Skyrim Cemetery.

Sonoura is level 7. After a somewhat slow start, level 3 onward, want seemingly quicker. It was a good 14 hr 1st day. The problem now, is that we are at the end of our third dungeon, and still have the Familiar from the tutorial. Nothing against Hal, It's just that the enemies are getting tougher. It has been the same strategy, that I have dubbed the "Gingerbread Man", that has kept her alive. She has GOT to find some stronger spells.

This last boss, I assume he was, he damn well better be. I say that, but it was very challenging and very exciting. He had a Claymore that would one-shot Hal, and if Sonoura took two of those, it would be the end of the line for her. Pumping each level into Magicka, she is at 100 HPs. The fight lasted for 10 min. Twice as long as the first Dragon fight. She was able to run around a sarcophagus and keep him at bay. All the while calling up Hal to land no more than one hit, before the Boned Bastard cut him down, in one strike. Finally, when he was down to about 50%, Sonoura got the timing down. She would let him get close and then spawn Hal right behind him. Bones was focused on Sonoura. So Hal was able to bite him on the ass twice. Still, it took a while. He landed one hit on the old girl, before he went down. That was because Sonoura got hung up on a stupid candle stick, but she made it through otherwise unharmed.

As for the Dragon, well it was pretty sad. Our little mouse hid form the big kitty, and let others get him down, to a breath away from death. Then, our fragile Breton babe, jumped out and let Hal land the final blow. So much for glory, right? It didn't matter. Sonoura is truly evil, at heart. Even if she could have summoned the Daedric Prince, Mehrunes Dagon, himself. She still would have left the others to their fate.

There is a lot of loot being left behind, due to the fact that Sonoura does NOT pick locks. She needs a spell. She picked three in the tutorial. It will be the last she ever picks. It just felt too out of character for her. I don't care if one of those chests contain the uber summoning Spell Tome, in the game. It feels like I'm using an exploit. I intended to run with no HUD, but I have to have the crosshair, and the labeling icons on what things are. I just wished I could turn that damn compass off. It's too easy to look at and see the enemies. I may just tape over it. I ahve been playing with the music turned off. The sounds of the environment are very immer...um, really puts you in the game.

Maybe a carriage ride to the College will prove to be worthy. She can pretend to be good. Kind of like being a spy. Learn what she needs, Then BAM! Total destruction, as...

Sonoura, TAKES OVER THE GALAXY!!! MOOHOOHOOHAHAHAAA!!!

"Tenetur in Aeternum"
We join you in this time of sorrow.

@ suzzi : Well hello suz. It's been a while. No PBs in Skyrim, I'm afraid. There called Magic Bracers.

@ Everybody else : I'm not sure why some of you are making reservations. Your fallen characters are added to the OP, should that happen. If people are just following this thread, your previous post could be missed by others, should you decide to update it. Once we get into several pages, no one is going to keep browsing through the whole thread, namely me. Your character information could get missed.

Sonoura is level 10. The college is the obvious bet, for the magically incline. She has all but retired poor Hal. As a matter of fact, she hasn't seen him since level 7.5. She has a Conjuration skill level of 53 and has the Adept Perk. She has two new found friends, a Flame Atro she named Little Miss Hot Pants, and a Frost Atro, she named Cryo Bob. Pumping all level-ups into magicka, along with a few Fort Mag apparel, she is running with 260 magicka. That is plenty, for now, BUT she is going to need a lot more. I do not plan to put anything into Health or Stamina. If things keep up, she should be survive a while. That is, pending I don't let her do something stupid do something stupid.

Sonoura has fell three Dragons. Well, she watched others do it. What better way to express true evil, than to let others do the work, and you reap the rewards and the credit? The second and third Dragons were Frost. So Little Miss Hot Pants, proved to be more than just a flaming bikini. However, the third one was a bit different. For some reason the AI didn't pick up that a DRAGON was flying about. Thus, would NOT enter combat. Bug? Hell Yea that's a bug! Town guards were in the area and helped out. Sonoura was left to fending off the monster with a Bound Bow.

She has got to get her Illusion, Alteration and Restoration up. Things are ok for now, but the enemies are going to get a lot harder, and she needs some protection spells. Her petty little fury and fear spells have become usless. I'm finding very difficult for the Alt and Ill spells, to keep up with the enemy. Those spells are only effective for certain levels. The improved versions are very illusive at the moment.

We shall press onward, into the Magi circle, as Sonoura...TAKES OVER THE GALAXY!!! AHHHAHAHAAAA!!!

Well, it's over...

RIP

Ronan the Redguard

He fell at level 7 to a frost troll just on his way to High Hrothgar.

I am going to delete the saves now.

May was well uninstall the game...

Just kidding. :P I'm going to try again with another character.

This is definitely going to be harder than I thought, but what killed me is I got impatient with my progress. I should have trained up and stocked up on potions, especially since I had encountered a troll already on the road there and I knew running into another could be disastrous.

Name: Hulgar
Age: 20
Race: Nord

Son of Godrel the Farmer, Hulgar has never left his home. That was about to change as he was now required to go to the Jerral Mountains and hunt an ice wraith to claim full citizen status, that is the nord tradition. He packed his stuff, said goodbye to his father and started his journey.

When crossing the White Pass near the Cyrodil border Hulgar met a group of men, one of them was badly injured. They said that he was attacked by a wolf and they had little hope he would survive. Hulgar's father was an experienced herbalist and taught his son how mix some basic healing potions. The young nord collected some herbs and mixed them together creating a green balm that he spread over the injuries. Now they had to wait.

One of the men who seemed to be their leader thanked Hulgar and invited him to spend the night in their camp. The man was Ulfric Stormcloak, leader of the Stormcloak rebels but Hulgar had little knowledge of the conflict going on in Skyrim. His life in the farm was very secluded and news from around the province rarely made it that far. Hulgar accepted the offer and stayed to spend the night.

As the hours passed the injured man seemed to get better and better. Hulgar's balm was clearly working. The sky was cloudy that night and it was darker and colder than the nights before. Even though Hulgar was feeling lucky he found those men and that they offered him a warm tent to spend the night, he would soon be proved wrong. In the middle of the night footsteps were heard just outside the camp and before anyone could say or do anything they were surrounded by imperial guards. Ulfric tried to explain that the young man with them was just a nordic boy and knew nothing about the rebellion but the guards rapidly knocked him out and gaged him. Hulgar was arrested with the other men and taken to Helgen, a nearby town, to be executed for treason.

Ronsvik Red-Beard

Born in a small settlement near the southern border of skyrim, he grew up along side 2 older twin brothers, Bathlur and Barmir, he always felt slightly jealous of his 2 older brothers as they both showed great signs of being a warrior from a young age, whilst Ronvsik was seen as a mummy's boy not from a fault of his own but his mother who was very overprotective of him.
His father never really cared for him and was too busy training his 2 older sons to be a great warrior like he once was.
As soon as Ronsvik turned 14 he began his training as an apprentice blacksmith. He tried to learn whatever he could about combat from his 2 brothers, but they were often too busy to care. A few years passed by and there is an age old tradition in the village that once a young man turns 18 they have to go out into the wilderness and will not be allowed back until they have a bear pelt, and on the 2 brothers birthdays, they venture out together. A week passed and people are growing worried, when Barmir comes running through the village gates panting and obviously battle worn, he tells the village that the imperial army killed his brother when they mistook them for stormcloaks, he refused to mention how he managed to escape and not many dared to question him.
A fortnight passed and in the early hours of the morning a hundred strong legion army barge through the gates, a legion officer yells "this village is an undercover stormcloak settlement, we followed your spy back here!" without a chance to reply they start hacking away, killing everyone in sight. The whole village went to arms but they were just too overwhelmed, Ronsvik's mother would not let him out to fight and locked the 2 of them in. A couple of hours passed and everything had seemed to die down, until the front door came smashing down, a lone legion soldier standing in the doorway.
Ronsvik goes to grab his fathers old claymore, but as he goes to leaves the room his mother charges at the soldier and is slain, the soldier now moves toward him, Ronsvik takes one step back and sweeps his sword towards the soldiers legs, the soldier collapses, Ronsvik stands over him panting.... He walks off and leaves him crippled on the floor, he's never killed anyone before and couldn't bring himself to do it now.
He peers out from where his front door used to be, legion still searching houses for survivors, he sees his dad and brother laying lifelessly on the ground, but knows he can't approach them for risk of been caught. He's not the brightest of characters but he knows when to run and when to fight.
Suddenly he hears a whisper from behind his house "quick come round here". He sneaks around the back to see part of the wall collapsed and several villagers that managed to escape through the wall.
Th group of 6 survivors manage to find a safe spot and settle for the night, Ronsvik been 1 of only 2 male (and the other the village coward Falrik)survivors decides to take charge, "I know this may sound strange considering what just happened, but I think we should travel south to a place called bruma I cyrodill, I know the imperials just slaughtered our whole village but I have an uncle there and it is a Nordic town". After a bit of discussion the group decide that this is the best plan of action.

The group travel for weeks through the wilderness, finding nothing but the harsh reality of the outside world, only 3 survivors now remain after battles with groups if bandits, packs of wolves, and other nasty creatures of the land. The other man Falrik and his wife Olavi are all that remain.
After months of travelling the wilds Ronsvik begins to trust the other 2 companions, they have been together for an age . The group start to wonder if they will ever find their safe haven.
The Falrik starts behaving strangely, disappearing and reappearing as he pleases in the night. One day he snaps "this all your fault! Your stupid brothers got our village all killed and you dragged us out here in the middle if nowhere! I'm going to make you pay!" Ronsvik unsheathes his fathers claymore and dispatches of him easily, a combination of the skills he's learnt on his journey and his youthful energy far surpassed the coward that ran from the fight back at the village.
Now Ronsvik just left with the cowards wife, and feeling betrayed, he tries to leave her behind, but desperate, lonely and will surely be dead in a few days, she begs to come along. Ronsvik eventually gives in and agrees for her to come.
A few weeks passed and the couple grow close to bruma and to each other, and decide that when they get there to tell them they are a couple

A week later they arrive, Ronsvik's uncle had sadly passed a month before he got there. Ronsvik's and Olavi tell their story to the town and the inn keeper says he will gladly let them stay free of charge.
Ronsvik soon becomes Ronsvik red beard as on his journey he had grown the biggest bushiest ginger beard you have ever seen.

A few years pass and the 2 have managed to get a house together and are very happy, or so you think.
Olavi tells Ronsvik she received a letter from an old family member and she is going to vist them and will be gone for a few week. Been as trusting as he is he let's her leave.

A month passes and letter arrives stating that olavi has decided to leave him and she never loved him and just used him as a means of survival.
Ronsvik turns to alcohol, any alcohol he can find, mead, vodka, wine, anything to drown his sorrows, he's often brawling in bar fights and seen paying for six with women.
He loses his job and now decides to do whatever jobs he can find. After numerous bad jobs and betrayals from the bad contacts he's been dealing with, he winds up in jail for a short spell.

On release he decides to change his way of life, but when he see's a imperial soldier marching the street he sees red and just cant help himself, he approaches the soldier an threatens him, imperial soldiers not being ones to take any [censored], a fight breaks out, Ronsvik beats him half to death, and upon realising what he's just done takes off as fast as he could.
Now a wanted man, he decides to flee back to his homeland of skyrim and start a new life and make honest living but on the border to skyrim he is captured and imprisoned by a bunch of imperial legion soldiers.

So....

Race: Nord
Age: 32
Main Skills: 2 hand, archery, one hand (dual wield), smithing, heavy armour

Now level 7 just got to whiterun and killed my first dragon.

Would of done this earlier but this is the first I read about it, haven't died yet anyway. On expert difficulty and finding it rather easy to be honest

Journal of Hulgar. (Minor early game spoilers)

Morndas, Last Seed 17 4E201

What a day this has been. Unfairly arrested and sentenced to death only to be saved by a dragon.About a day ago I didn't know anything about this rebelion thing and now I'm up to my neck in this. Hadvar, the man who helped me out of Helgen, introduced me to his uncle Alvor in Riverwood. The blackmith ask me do a him a favor, go to Whiterun and tell the Jarl about the dragon. Well, I think going to Whiterun is really an option here because I don't have the slightest idea of where I am and I still need to go to the Jarrel Mountains or any other mountain and hunt an ice wraith. Meanwhile the local shopkeeper asked me to help him retrieve a golden dragon claw that was stolen from his shop in Riverwood. The bandits who did this are supposed to be hidden in Bleak Falls Barrow, a nearby mountain. I usually wouldn't do this but his sister Camilla seemed so upset I just couldn't say no. I spent the day working at the local lumber mill and used the money to buy some armor. Now I'll spend the night at the inn and go after those bandits at first light tomorrow.

Tirdas, Last Seed 18 4E201

I woke up early and headed to Bleak Falls Barrow. The bandit's there didn't put much of a fight even for an unexperienced fighter such as myself. But what I met after them was something completely different. Long story short, the stolen artifact was some sort of key to a locked part of the Bleak Falls Temple where an ancient nordic secret is supposed to be hidden. The chambers were filled with draugrs and I almost didn't make it out alive. Even though I was scared to death there was something pushing me forward. It was like I had to keep going further into the temple, it was stronger than me. After opening a huge iron door I found what as like a tomb. In that tomb there was a huge wall with texts written in an old language that I have never seen before, in the middle of all those strange words there was one that for some reason caught my attention. I just couldn't stop looking at it, I felt like it was calling me. I started hear drums pouding in my ears along with some sort of ancient ritualistic chant. Then I felt like a wave of some strange power going through my body and suddenly everything was quiet again. For Kyne, what has just happened to me? I thought it was already time to leave but when I stepped away from the wall I heard a sound behind me. A crypt opened and a draugr rose up. This was no ordinary draugr, I could feel it was more powerful than the others and It also had the power of the voice. After an intense fight I manage to defeat it. Besides it's crypt there was a chest and in that chest I found a stone tablet. I still don't know what it does but I'll keep it with me till I find out.

I exited the tomb on the other side of the mountain. I had no way of going back and I no idea where I was. After following the road for a while I arrived in Whiterun. Here I could buy a map, at least now I wouldn't feel so lost when traveling the lands of Skyrim. I think I'll search the Jarl and give him the massage Alvor asked me to and then go back to Riverwood to return the golden claw to it's rightful owner.

I told Jarl Balgruuf about the dragon and he introduced me to Farengar, a mage who's apparently been studying dragons for a long time. The mage asked me to retrieve an artifact from Bleak Falls Barrow. Guess what? The artifact was that tablet I found. After giving him the artifact I went back to the Jarl to claim my reward when a soldier stormed the throne room claiming he had seen a dragon nearby. The Jarl asked me to join his soldiers as I was the only one who had seen a dragon before. I agreed because I just couldn't let those men fight the creature alone.

We headed to the watchtower where the soldier said he had seen the dragon and when we got there we found nothing but destruction. But it didn't take long before the dragon returned. The Whiterun's men fought bravely and we manage to defeat the beast. The strange thing is that somehow, when I delivered the final blow I felt like I could understand what dragon was saying. Shortly after it died its flesh started to burn and dissolve, then I felt rush of power running through my body. Somehow it was like I had absorbed the dragon's soul, but how? One of the soldiers told me about the legend of the dragonborns, people born with the blood of dragons on their veins. They could learn the dragon's tongue and use the power of the voice. I've read about this story before but I've also read that dragonborns were emperors not farmer's sons.

On my way back to Whiterun I heard a voice that sounded like a thunder calling me. I returned to the Jarl and he told me that that voice was from the greybeards. They live up in the Throat of the World and are masters of the Voice. I shall seek them and learn how to use my newfound power. But first I must go back to Riverwood.

I returned the golden claw to the shopkeeper and he paid me a good amount of gold for it. The world is quickly changing around me. In less than two days I almost got killed a few times, I saw two dragons, killed one, discovered I'm a dragonborn, became a thane in Whiterun and I have this warrior Lydia following me around. Now it's time to rest. Tomorrow I'll start preparations to my journey to the Throat of the World. I think hunting an ice wraist is not necessary anymore to prove anything.

Just completed the game on a DID run, my nord warrior was alot like the dovakin in the trailer (but short dark hair and short beard) finished at lvl 30 i will probs do a new run siding with the empire this time.

Major feats of the nord: Freeing skyrim from the imperials and defeating alduin, giants and more. It was awesome. He was the second character i played after the prologue and the first one got stomped at lvl 8 by a mammoth
When you say, you completed the game. I can only assume you mean the Main Ouest. That's pretty fast. How many hrs was it? It has to be less than 40. That's way too fast to appreciate the fullness, a game like Skyrim has to offer.

Thinking of doing this with a Dark brotherhood type character. Only rule is dead is dead right? Any difficulty?
Welcome aboard. Yes, just one rule, pending the exceptions noted in the OP. The difficulty doesn't matter is where you feel comfortable.

Wow, this is INTENSE.

I am definitely going to give this a go with my second character. That may be a year or two away, however. Good luck all you brave souls!

Name: Drakven
Race: Male Orc
Level - 9
Well I had been doing pretty well until level 9 and was traveling in the water and got trapped under the ice. Seemed like a fair death. Tried to swim under it and couldn't find an opening for air.

Ive been trying for two years to complete a DID run in FO3 with FWE and MMM installed. Its incredibly hard. Its a super awesome way to play and greatly enhances immersion. I hope this thread keeps going for years.
