Tullius is a big poopyhead

Why didn't I see this before? Those reasons are flawless and well thought out. I think I may have a change in heart because of you!

Say what you will about Tullius but Lieutenant Rikke is a goddess compared to Galmar Stonefist, whose douchebaggery stands out even among people like Ulfric and his band of merry bigots.

He's arrogant and boastful in claiming that he will see Ulfric dead yet when SPOILERS the Battle of Solitude occurs, you find that he has given up and that he wants to surrender just to save his life. At least Ulfric faces death with dignity while Tullius acts like a coward in the face of death.

Spoiler
Did you get past the dialogue? Both of them fight to the 'death' Tullius just didn't want to give Ulfric the pleasure of a fight he knew he couldn't win. However his tune changes when Rikke refused to stand down and got attacked over it, challenging Stormcloak Dovahkiin, Bear Cub, and Ulfric, and 'dying' in the process.

Anyways, Tullius is more than a bit insensitive and annoying, but so is Ulfric and his bear general is by far the worst. The only likeable person of the bunch is Rikke, she acually carries herself with professionalism and honor most of the game, which is a lot more than the others seem to be able to do. However, that said, Tullius is not a politician, he is a legion general sent to put down the Stormcloaks. He likely doesn't understand the political nature of the situation, or many of the customs of the Nords. He was sent for his skill at the head of an army, where as Ulfric is both general and politician.

I so agree.
I like his character alot more than Ulfric's.The only thing Ulfric seemed to care was his stupid rebellion and his comftable throne.Tullius is a fair guy and has balls on top.
This.
Tullios is NOT what the topic of this post says.
I would rather put Ulfric in the place of a poppyhead.. and a BIG ONE.

And he looks good in a miniskirt.

Shhhh dude what happens in Castle Dour stays in Castle Dour. Rule One of Imperial Miniskirt Club is that you DO NOT TALK about Imperial Miniskirt Club.

Oh wait you meant his uniform? LOL NO. Skinny-legged Imperial milkdrinkers should wear pants, the end.

Personally I don't think either Ulfric or Tullius are "scumbags" or "poopyheads". Tullius is doing his job and believes that Ulfric is harming the Empires chanes of defeating the Dominion. Ulfric is fighting for the liberation of his native land and for the throne. Different motivations, different characters, neither are perfect.

That went out the window for me during Season Unending, because SHUT UP RIKKE.

Also, she's even duller than Tullius. She gets one shining moment in the whole game, and that's only if you side against her.

That's my real complaint as a player (not the "player character") with fighting for the Legion. It's boring. Congratulations, newly promoted Cog In Our Machine, you've helped maintain a really svcky status quo on behalf of the soulless bureaucrats in Cyrodiil who are calling all the shots! Meh.

If Tullius were a poppyhead the Legion questline would've been a LOT more interesting.

Miniskirt uniform - what twisted armor designer came up with that idea?

I never hesitate to kill any Imperial soldier that I come across, though I did give my Nord the same hair style and beard as Tullius.

The "skirts" that the Imperials wear are inspired by the Romans. You'll have to go back in time and ask them wtf they were thinking. At least they didn't have to worry about buttons and zippers when they had to go.

I like Tulius. I also like how he's frustrated with Nord culture. I mean it is kind of asinine.

I doubt the ancient Romans would give a rats ass about today's standards of "masculinity".

You think that is so bad? Maybe not the prettiest in the game (right now I don't even remember what it looks like on males...). Those Imperial miniskirt things look very much like they forgot about the pants. (Like when you see a teenager in an extremely short dress and you want to tap her on the shoulder and say "honey, I think you forgot something...")

On topic: Of course he is. He tried to execute me. End of discussion. :P

I could write something about the Romans view on masculinity in, ehrm, intimate relationships, but I'm not sure we want to take the thread in that direction... ;)
