I guess it's trigun then because I saw the first Hellsing series and I'm not going through those crazy OVA episodes!

The Rurouni Kenshin Trust & Betrayal OVA was really good, I thought. Or Samurai X, whatever the heck it's called. I hear Samurai 7 is good too.

I liked them both equally.

Note: I will, however, say that I think they're both sorely lacking in focus, especially Bebop. It confined the main plot to the last two episodes, then ended on a sour note, giving absolutely no explanation as to what happened after the final scene.

I thought that was one of the things that was amazingly good about it.

Eh, it works for some and doesn't for others. I'm one of those people that needs closure to a story rather than be left with nothing. It irritates me, because all I can think about for several days is what could have happened to everyone else.

Champloo didn't really do that to me, as it ended in such a way that left me wondering, but about further adventures rather than "and..?". The way Bebop ended was like getting to a really juicy part in a book, then somebody walking in, snatching the book from me, then tossing it out the window.

I felt the same way as Lemo regarding Bebop, and maybe that's what dissapointed me about Champloo, I like that kind of ending, but in Champloo I was sitting there thinking
Spoiler
couldn't those who were, in every obvious way, shown to be dead, just die. People don't have to survive for a good ending.

I'm the same, I much prefer closure, I just felt that Bebop was one of those shows that ended at the right time, Spikes story was pretty much over
Spoiler
(since he died)
and i can't see how they would have extended the show, other than making them go on more random bounties, which would have fell a bit flat after the face-off with Vicious.

I find closure can spoil an ending aswell i wasn't too fond of TTGLs ending,
Spoiler
should have ended when Nia died.

But then again opinions i guess. :P

Anybody else watched the first episode of So-Ra-No-Wo-To yet?

I thought it was pretty awsome, animation was fluid and the backgrounds are damned awsome.

Characters are likeable (the two we get introduced to anyway) and although nothing really happened, Kanata spending a day getting lost in a village was entertaining enough to watch for that not to matter.

Art style has alot in common with Kannagi which was also by A-1 Pictures and is totally in no way what so ever anything like 'a certain highschool band anime' (i think i got away with that) which came out after Kannagi so anyone who makes that comparison is an idiot anyway.

Updated simulcast listing in OP to include Crunchyroll's new simulcasts for Durarara, Hanamaru Kindergarten, Omamori Himari, and Soranowoto (too lazy to stylize the name for this one).

The first episode of Soranowoto is available to non-members right now, the others will in the next few days (of course all members can watch them right now :hehe:)

Haven't gotten around to seeing it yet, but I read a good review for it, so it is on my planned-to-watch list.

I found Samurai 7 to be an interesting and enjoyable approach to the classic http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Seven_Samurai.

I've read the first three volumes. I wouldn't call Yotsuba moe, more like ADHD. Definitely need to order more volumes.

I've only seen a few episodes from Trigun on advlt Swim, but it's an awesome show. I wish I had more time for it.
