Spoiler
Did anyone understand the ending? I couldn't make heads or tales of it, but it sounded like 2012. Also, what's up with the Adam and Eve video thingy?

You're getting it, even though it has that ridiculous drm?

I feel bad for PC players.

Does anyone feel like speculating about AC III?

Hopefully we won't fight any God-awful modern day templars with night sticks.

Does Steam have the DRM?

They really kicked us in the proverbial balls with the 4 month delay, this DRM, and the $60 price point. I was really looking forward to this game too, because I loved the first game, but I am not supporting these kind of business practices.

I was wondering how a modern-day setting would work. What cities would it take place in and shouldn't people be using guns? I don't know how they are going to make AC III work. Are we going to

assassinate the sun?(I'm not being serious, but what's an assassin going to do to stop the sun from destroying our planet?)

Probably something long the lines of using a sacred artifact to save the world. And in modern day, people use guns. It just wouldn't work unless you wanted tons of people to chase you around; leaping across buildings to hit you with a stick/cane thing.

I understood it perfectly.

Also, the game actually takes place after 2012, not before.

Or I'm pretty sure it does.

You misunderstood what I meant. I meant: is the same apocalyptic scenario that happened in the movie 2012 going to happen in AC3.

What is your theory on "the truth"?

Ah.

I haven't seen 2012 so I don't know what happened with that.

Spoiler
I think the Apple might be used as a type of power source. I mean, think about what the Spaniard did with it. And it makes sense that Adam and Eve would steal it considering all the references in the game. I think the hologram lady said humanity was at war with them for some time? Some kind of a rebellion iirc. The Apple may have either been the cause of the war or something they needed to reach an end. Annnnnd then whatever happened that wiped them all out. I.E. the sun went crazy.

You mean Minerva?

I think it was pretty trippy. I can't really decide if it is a good ending or not until I see where they take it.

:P

I thought it was pretty good. And the next one will probably be in the animus still, for at least part of the game anyway.

Assassin's in space!
Didn't the developers at Ubisoft say they will be taking us back to Ezio in the animus?
I don't know if i'm happy or saddened by this. I was hoping for a new protagonist each time.
I wonder if they've opened up Ubisoft Toronto yet, I should apply for a job! :P

I'm going with Ezio on this one. He has more personality, whereas Altair was a straight bad ass.

Ezio is a real ladies' man. I never figured Altair would be that way, I was quite surprised when I discovered that.

They're both cool guys, but Ezio is more likable because we can connect with him because we know more about him.

I prefer Altair because he's more badass compared to Ezio, but then again who doesn't love a ladies man?

well heres what i think about the ending, spoilers chillins!

Spoiler
well, from just looking at the truth video i can assume 1 thing, things are sure not what they seem. it is apparent at the end that Those Who Came Before have access to very advanced technology, this dont mean they are aliens, maybe those who came before are humans that are extremely different, and reshaped humanity for far more physical tasks. Since these people knew humanity wouldnt just obey them, they created pieces of power, which had very special purposes. the Apple is a piece of eden, which gives the owner practically limitless knowledge, altair used the apple quite a few times. those who came before did as well. Adam and Eve must have been some sort of offspring that were immune to the effects of the pieces of eden, which control minds, maybe through glands or sections and waves of the mind, this would make sense because it seems altair and ezio are immune to its mind control effect, but not immune to its other effects. Minerva is supposedly a god, mainly from this advanced tech, when Adam and Eve stole the Apple from eden(the tree of knowledge, which seems to be right in plain view of kilimanjaro)

ok so we have dealt with the fact that the pieces of eden are technological masterpieces, we also know they have failsafe locations of all the other pieces of eden, which dont have to be apples, Arthur is said to have the sword, as well as joan of arc. Minerva says that Adam and Eve incited rebellion among humans for their actions. with superior numbers, human overpowered those who came before and scattered the mind control devices. but over time, as humans progressed, people found these pieces again, and used them for power and their own uses. Templar order is founded to rule the world, big surprise. they followed god trying to find god, they found pieces of eden. heres where AC1 shows up. Al mualim may not be a templar, but he wanted power, at all costs. the people who were in that tomb under jeruslaem were templars. Mualim wanted them dead so his competition would die...literally. he used Altairs want to be accepted by him to his advantage. with all of them dead, al mualim tried to kill altair, but our hero killed him. and like many people before, mualim fell with the apple in his hand...and altair was tempted by it. limitless power and knowledge is kinda hard to pass up. Abstergo uses the map the piece brings up to find more pieces of eden, for what would seem like a device that would harness its power to enslave the world on December 21st, 2012....yeah...

so altair writes his codex, his journal of what happens after AC1, he had 2 wives, i think both died, but he had kids. he saw that video of the truth, just like subject 16. it haunted him...serious, badass altair was brought insane.

theres more, ill say later.

It turns out the PC version of AC2 is already leaked and cracked. Although I heard it from another forum so it may not be true....Looks like the DRM did a whole lot.

Serves Ubisoft right. I'm still angry over it. Once I get a new 360 I'll rent AC2, but a future Ubisoft game will never get installed on my computer as long as it has that [censored] ridiculous DRM.

If I ever buy a Ubisoft game, it will be on a console, and used, so Ubisoft wont get any money from me.
