Unofficial DLC Discussion [spoilers] - Thread #3

Wow all of these Ideas sound pretty sick like the idea of owning your own citiy would be cool and btw the Dragon born high king thing not only could work but if you translate the games dragon slaying song to english it like actually says something like hail the dragon born our true king. see link (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VUPQpGWDPN4&feature=related) .

I for one would also like to see more guild quests and I think it would be cool if they had heavy and light armor versions of all the armors guilds inculded like dadric chain mail or theives guild heavy armor.

And Dragon born armor/weapons [censored] YA!!! that [censored] should have been in the game to start with.

Oh and WereWolves and Vampires should be way better cause once you hit lvl 30 your wolf form is bassicly screwed cause everything can rezist your wolf howl and then F your day up.

Being able to go to Cyrodiil and Morrowind is a big one for me. I mean, what could be better: going back to the areas of Oblivion and Morrowind where you've spent hours in to make a better place, and too see how it's changed, to see what's happened to those great places, and then, do more! And, it'd give a chance to bring more Khajiits into the game! Or atleast give them some sort of village like you gave the Orcs. Khajiits need something more than just travaling caravans, and only a total of like what? 12 Khajiits in total?

Vampire's are a bigger in Skyrim (as in, more part of the game world rather than a nice little side note like in Oblivion), but still the vampire, for players and NPC's alike, seem like nothing more important than random encouters, becoming one, and the rare, few quests that has to deal with them. You need to give them something more, something more to do, or for them simply to become a bigger part of the world. (Side note, I find Vampires to have more of a presence in Skyrim than Khajiits except for you can start out as them....which is very sad for the khajiits. Just saying, gotta support the khajiits!)

Don't even get more started on Werewolves. Fine, but I'll keep it short: Not the best idea to make werewolves part of the companions questline, and then just kinda leaving it there, with really nothing save for you can become them, some info about death as a werewolf, and a small daedric quest. It was kinda cheap.

Good luck Bethesda! You made Skyrim, so we know you can make it better with help from the community!

A Khajiit equivalent of the orc strongholds would be awesome. It could be that you could buy a house there so you can live among your own people, or there could be a small "tribal" sort of thing, some sort of quest you could rise to the top of and get a home of some sort as a prize.

I propose a second part to each of the guild questlines. Especially the Companions which was by far the shortest. This, or a new guild.

Perhaps A second choice for warriors? Okay just to clear up, I LOVED The companions, But in my view the companions are not good for "Good" characters, There more interested in gold and personal gain then the welfare of others, I want some order of knights!!!

Rise of the Falmer would be nice, but you have a choice: Help the falmer take over or fight with the people to defeat the falmer
OR: Hagraven and Spriggan war, where you can oin the Hagravens/forsworn or fight with Nature's Protectors, spriggans!

I think time travel would be an awesome premise for an expansion (I hate the term DLC). It would be neat to see Skyrim back in the times of the Wolf Queen civil war.

Sure. It would be good for me because I always written my male werewolf to be grey, and my female black. I always play her because she matches my RP's and stories. But I would rather have lunar transformations too.

I want to see a remake of the previous Elder Scrolls Games.

There are always huge mod projects aimed at rebuilding the previous installments within the current game. There was some sort of a Battlespire conversion for Morrowind. There was a project to rebuild Morrowind in Oblivion. I'm sure that there will be a mod to try and re-do Oblivion within Skyrim.

I'd love it if Bethesda revisited their old games with today's software. Bethesda could start in chronological order with a remake of Redguard (and then I think Arena comes next). The Skyrim player (in current time) could somehow access the previous hero's story using an elder scroll or some sort of interaction with Aktosh or something.

I know I'd like to play Daggerfall using today's technology.

I forgot to mention another thing Id like and that is to introduce more factions in the war you can join and a proper ceremonial ending.

1. The forsworn, would love it if you could bust out Madanach take over Markath and start a third party in the war.
2. Whiterun, I always wanted to defend whiterun for both sides
3. Maybe even some more Thanes contending for the throne?

I hate all these people talking about Vampires + Werewolves. It has no appeal whatsoever
to become either. Unless I can start joining the silver hand and exterminating the whole warren or den
of vampires *which is unlikely cause of that stupid immortality for special characters*.

As for new locations, I would guess they would be close to or related closesly to Skyrim. Theres a city in Hammerfell near Falkreth that the path you can't go down looks closer to IMO than to Cyrodil but Hammerfell is kind of too big with big cities for an expansion pack. I think Cyrodil is too though so idk if that is ever gonna get used. Soem smaller places though that could fit in expansions are Summerset Isle which has Thalmor and Psijic order connections that could be a magic focused expansion. A more fighting oriented one could go to the hammerfell city with the arena near flakreth or maybe to high rock thats pretty small too but id wanna see akavir thatd be bomb idk how big it is tho

I still want them to add a marriable Khajit with a DLC. It kinda svcks that we're the only race to be forever alone. :c I'd consider that a "big" thing, for how easy it would be to implement. Don't get me wrong, I understand how hard it is to do VO, and all of that, but I'm sure in ONE of these DLC's, there's going to be a Khajit character. Make it a female, get the VA to do some extra lines, and wham. Problem solved.

Dragon Bone Weapons is a MUST.

New Enchantments

New Spells/Spell Making

New Lands

New Guild(one long, drawn out storyline rather than a bunch of side quests, maybe some side quest's within the main one :) )

I hope the new dlc is in the summerset isle dealing with the thalmor were you get to join them and support them or join some opposing faction and fight them.

My usual ideas:

1.I want a good castle like battlehorn from oblivion.Any new house realy. It doesnt even have to be a stand alone dlc, Old World Blues from FONV showed us that.

2.I want to kill some thalmor, maybe "great war act II", your civil war outcome could change the start of the dlc.

3. Add more to the guilds. Have us run/teach/do freakin something at the Colege of Winterhold as arch mage, let us rebuild the DB, let us fight some new threat in the companions, let us be more like robin hood, or plan some huge heist like the TG in oblivion. More stuff to the flimsy guilds in this game would help a lot, the only one I was satisfeid length wise was the TG, and even still, it wasnt as long as oblivion.

4. Any new places are good with me, I dont care if they are expansions or dlc, Ill take what ever.

Oh, and Mortis Angelus, misery has company, the bosmer dont have any one to wed either. Looks like our races will be alone for ever.

New character NPCs that actually encourage emotional investment. An unpredictable, unique storyline for non-player characters that goes beyond fetching, or assistance.

I've always wanted to know why, say, Vex is snippy and emotionally distant. I would like DLC that adds depth to the cardboard ... a chance to save her life, engage in an illicit affair ... something, anything that gives life to these bipedal avatars walking around Skyrim.

I would love a questline about Rebuilding Winterhold.
a.) I think that's manageable in an expansion or DLC and not unrealistic (some wishes like a rebuilt of Morrowind seem too unrealistic to ask for to me)
b.) It would give us another big city, which a lot of people would like to have (a complete new city in Skyrim wouldn't make sense lorewise on the other hand)
c.) Mage-builds could finally be compensated for the short College Questline

I also liked the idea of a Falmer Invasion, that someone posted. That also seems a realistic wish to me. A similar questline around the Foresworn could also work. A conflict with the Thalmor would be awesome, but I think they will hold back that idea for a future installment of Elder Scrolls. I also think they won't add new game mechanics like spells or even spell making or new perks. They never did that in previous ES titles. Seems too complicated.

I would like some of the Expanion's to take us to Morrowind, Summerset Isles, High rock and a Daedric realm.

New guilds and spell creation.
looks like an afternoons work...lol but i do agree with spell making.

My idea is for a quest to drive the thalmor out of skyrim, and a return of skyrim law, rebuild damage ect. with the thalmor out freedom of expression returns to skyrim giving the devs a exscuse to put in loads more gear traded from other provences now the boarders are so tight and the a redo of spell making now thalmor no longer have a tether on affairs in skyrim(it could have been banned ect with the thalmore gone it could be cannonicaly added back)

i prefer they just fatten out the game world, the offworld dlc beth do are all very nice and shinny but they dont tackle what wasnt finished in vanillia.

Curse Of The Dilon Lir DLC idea
The Dragonborn (Player) is lead into an ancient cave by a mysterious stranger from an old guild for a cursed stone (the player is unaware of this at the time). Throughout the cave the Player will encounter common enemies(Frost spiders, draugr, ect) and traps. The Stranger (NPC) will retreive the stone and a draugr boss appears. The player and Stranger will escape the cave then part ways. The player will receive a note from a messenger asking them to report to Whiterun. When they get to the city they will notice barricades set up at the entrances with Soldiers(Imperial,Stormclock,Neutral Depending on player's choices). The player will meet the commanding officer and will be told of the events of a Infection going around turning citizens into Draugr. The player will be set on a questline to find and destroy the stone to break the curse. 2 cities will be infected at a time. The player can clear the city out for citizens to come back and resume normal. Cities can become infected again. Its random. If you finish the questline while a city is infected the city will turn back to normal. Any ideas to add to this just let me know.
