for me, DLC should be:

-Nostalgia items: Mythic Dawn armor, Emperor's Robes on top of everything, and after that unique items from past games
-More Creatures: Liches on top of my mind
-Quests: rather than houses, more modules like Shivering Isles (brilliant) or Knights of the Nine. story driven and possibly with a greater emphasis on roleplaying.

and of course... bug-free toolset and many, many patches in order to fix gamecode that does not allow for full cpu usage.

Bethesda mentioned that their DLC will be substantial. My guess is that Bethesda will make DLC that will take us to Cyrodil and Morrowind.

I hope my wishlist isn′t too long:

- more realistic armor. i would like to wear armor which isn′t extravagnt. E.g. light armor like glass armor doesn′t look "light". Only Nightingale fits but attracts attention.
- City Overhaul: Bigger cities! it costs much atmosphere to come to a main city with only 3 cabins
- longer epic quests, especially falmer and dwemer oriented!
- questline about a new emperor and perhaps a questline which brings you back to the imperial city (like mournhold back in TES 3: Morrowind).
- More settlements. Mining colonies with tents or taverns in the middle of nowhere are strange.
- Ship implementings. I want to sail offshore. Perhaps to Solstheim as part of a Werewolf Quest? Or eveb Vvardenfell?
- Last but not least; Bug Fixes !

Dragon Priets are pretty similar to Liches.

Don't worry, Bethesda is fixing the bugs. Also, more settlements and ship sailing sound like great ideas.

How about being able to have more than 1 human-esque companion? I mean, besides a companion and a dog. Like two Argonians and a dog. At least 2 because having more companions could be fun.

These are some ideas i like

-city upgrade to Dawnstar, Winterhold, Falkreath, and Morthal
-Be a Tavern Owner. Similar to Morrowind's Bal Isra or the others
Seeing as this is Skyrim id love for us to be able to build our tavern from the ground up.
Throughout the building process you will also be able to purchase upgrades for the tavern similar to buying house upgrades
Once the tavern is finished you will be able to run the daily activitys if you want to. If you dont feel up to the task you can let your spouse or employee handle the activitys for you.
- A Western Highlands, Morrowind expanision exploring the area of Blacklight and the surrounding area.
- A Throughly made High Rock expanision

The DLCs or Expansions will be focusing on features and not necesarily content. Content is easy to figure out features not so easy.

Is Orsinium a province? If it is, and it's small, I'd like to see that. I'd also like to see Hircine's realm.

I, if new Daedric realms are in the works, want to see Azura's, Hermaeus Mora's, Meridia's (this one a lot!)

but even with substantial DLC i still hope for that armor  and for liches. dragon priests are just not the same. possibly with special animations like oblivion ones!

Saw a comment from Pete Hines last week saying 15 people a day are still d/l the Horse Armor

Horse armor was fine as DLC.

It was just massively overpriced. Should have been 50 cents.

I highly, highly doubt they'll add a new province as a DLC. Think about it, to fully satisfy everyone, they'll have to make the WHOLE province, which could be as big as skyrim, because i'm sure people don't wan't to be so restricted in a new area. However, I do think they'll add new areas to explore.

I would love something that gains you a house in the wilderness somewhere. All the houses are always in cities. I would love to have houses along a stream or in the forest, and secluded.

I like that.

Lots of other good ideas were posted. I juste want to add: less dragons! I have like 15 souls that I don't know what to do with. Dragons are too common.

Item's and so related things I'd love to see:

- I want to be able to purchase mannequins and place them where I want. Ah, and I want them to show weapons too.
- New armors focused on stealthy characters; I'm not talking about thieves's and DB's one, but new ones, since there isn't a credible one in game atm for ranger/hunter/freelancer thief/assassin characters... Come on, is it plausible to run almos naked (hide armor) in a snowy, cloudy land like Skyrim?
- The ability to create new sets of armor, by combining them (i.e.) in a forge; that way, you could fit your own enchanted, armor set and feel somewhat "unique".
- More and deadlyer creatures.
- New spells, for sure, and useful, please.
- New perks, specialy for mage and assassin characters; I've found some perks useless, and I'm missing some improvements in my gameplay related to perks, like the ability to rush behind an enemy and remain stealthed, or an assassinating perk that allow me to kill in a single blow if the npc is sleeping AND do it silently, or silenced killing when backstabing (I keep wondering how a slit-throated guy can shout when I'm killing him hehe)
- Some spell ala magick missiles.
- MORE OPTIONS and, please, MORE RECOGNITION after finishing guild's questlines.

Expansions I'd love to see (and play):

- The wrath of Hircine. I denied Hircine when
Spoiler
finished the Hircine ring's quest
, and we know how ends the Companion's plot; I think that Hircine may want revenge.
- A quest where we can, literaly, create a new guild, with the choice of making it warrior/mage/stealthed/economic/etc oriented, requiering to get a base, allies, political plots, etc... And affecting the game.
- Anything challenging that commands us to use help; it's a bit boring when reached a point anything you do relies on your equipment and potions. I want to face a challenge that forces me to use help, like a true siege where I can't at all outlast the attackers/defenders without help, an enemy that can't be killed by myself (but able to kill me) like http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Oblivion:Mehrunes_Dagon in Oblivion.
- A huge, non-leveled really hard (even for god-like characters) quest where we can satisfy our feeling of became one of the aedra (or daedra) as Tiber Septim did.

I agree although i would like to be in a city like mournhold again. In my mind there must not be always new areas. Visits to known areas from previous elder scrolls would be nice too as i mentioned in my wishlist post.

Forgive me if it seems like I'm copying any ideas from this thread, I'm just pasting this from another thread I'd started, they suggested I use this thread instead.

DLC Idea for Skyrim: Secrets of the Dwemer.

Been thinking about this since I started the campaign.

This DLC pack takes place in a hidden corner of Skyrim, deep under the mountains in a hidden Dwemer realm.

The player explores a secret cave in regular Skyrim that leads to an open area where the tunnel collapses behind them, (DLC begins) and a new story unfolds ahead.

The player will be drawn into a world populated by previously unknown Dwemer (and some Falmer) architecture and machinery, as well as other factions.

The main story I haven't given much thought, but it could revolve around a massive unknown conflict between Falmer, Forsworn, Draugr, a previously unknown faction, or even uncontacted Dwemer that survived their extinction. (Ridiculous, maybe. Just throwing it out there.) These factions would be native to the area or sealed in much like your character.

Main points of awesomeness:

- A massive, thriving, underground cavern serves as the overworld, with a massive hole in the center of the cavern roof to provide sunlight.
- Several cities and regions filled with previously unseen Dwemer mechanisms, allies, and enemies.
- New cave creatures and cave versions of previously known creatures. (Blind albino cave bears, venomous Skeevers, vampire bats and cursed skeletal saber cats)
- Arsenal of new weapons including heavy crossbows and mechanical swords. (Swords with rotating gears that can spin up with steam power when blocking)
- Mechanical dwemer-built dragons patrolling the cavern 'skies.'
- New armor, enchantments, and spells.
- New companions.

Full expansion packs are much better than tiny DLCs. I would love to see a return to Solstheim.

-More fantasy, less medieval (think of Morrowind and less The 13th Warrior).
-Consistent stories with real choices & consequences.
-Followers with real personalities & personnal quests.
-Revamped skill system (Lockpicking? Speech? haha)
-More factions quests, armors, weapons and maybe exclusive spells/perks?

I would hate it if we had to go to another daedric realm...i want to see the real (virtual world of Nirn) world! I'd hope to see something like Atmora, or especially High Rock.Skyrim obviously doesn't have much to offer mages, but High Rock definitely would. *crosses fingers*

OOOO I have an idea i been working on for an update to the game involving kids in the game. I copied this from one of my posts it would be amazing if you read this and possibly started a poll about it. I have about 20 supporters so far that responded positively.
Would you agree that kids in Skyrim don't have much to say, and not enough involvement in the game?
The changes in the first 2 threads that are listed are ideas that will IMPROVE the games family interactions as well as interactions w/ kids.

Alright I have gathered enough suggestions and ideas now from my 3 post. You can read them here>>>
http://www.gamesas.com/topic/1327690-idea-child-adoption-and-family-enhancement/
http://www.gamesas.com/topic/1327962-children-of-skyrim-w-no-souls/page__p__19966509#entry19966509
http://www.gamesas.com/topic/1327763-glitchy-houses-lose-items-and-forget-things/page__p__19963490#entry19963490
(The third one is not as important)... This is the last post I hope I will make on the topic. If you agree these changes would greatly improve the game say why and likewise if you don't. I hope I get some more supporters of these ideas
I pulled the ideas from those posts and re-pasted them here for convenience.

**Children are adoptable
*Children show all forms of emotion; they can cry when things go bad; and rub their eyes, they could yawn when their tired. They could complain at bedtime.
*Wives able to have more diverse diologues
*Children being more unique and having more diverse diologues
*Children play with your dog in the house
*Children would fight with their siblings and the Mom would actually respond with scolding
Children would greet you and engage in various diologues upon your arrival home
Children would run out to play with other kids in the village
Children AI could receive live information from quest logs so they would know things you'd recently done and possibly discuss it with you
Children say they missed you when they got back
1 more bed in the house for the kid and a bed that you could tell the dog to rest at (dog bed located next to childs)
Children respond to actions of Mom and also interact with them as well as the player and the dog
MORE THINGS FOR THE CHILDREN TO SAY
More clothes for children
Ability to give the kids allowance to spend on food, and other various things like a drum or a knife
Discussion with wife about the kids and how their doing
Abillity to give wife gifts as well as children

Things I like about Children and wives now and how to improve=
Wives give you money from sales; fine as it is
Wives greet you when you return; more greeting possibilities that are actually relevant, not just "back from some adventure I assume"
Ability to own a dog and tell them to wait; a bed for the dog in your house, interacts with kids and mom, has personality
Wives pick stuff up that you drop; she actually puts on the clothes you drop
Wives engage in fair amount of dialogue; a system that constantly finds NEW conversation opportunities and possibilities, to keep character interactions FRESH and INTERESTING.

I noticed that kids have hardly any emotions in Skyrim, like when their parents die

They act mad when you try to hit them and happy when you play with them but what if they could do the following??:

Cry when they were sad; rub their eyes and have tears.
Yell when they got mad; then cry
Throw temper tantrums
Yawn before bedtime and stretch
Curious; scratch their heads
Happy; jump around laughing, clap and say yayyy, crack a wide smile and giggle
