Okay, I'm starting to suspect this DLC involves some critical thinking. :P

Sadly, there is none. :sadvaultboy:

Best DLC I have ever played. Incredible Atmosphere, excellent and mature writing.

I was fully satisfied and I recommend it to everyone who wants to play it.

Have a serious question for people that have seen a lot or all that Dead Money has to offer.
OK, I have seven characters, five of which I'm going to take through Dead Money, which will end up getting boring after two or three times of playing. So I'm going for efficiency, which brings me to my inquiry; based on the new and unique items, weapons, attire which character(s) of mine will benefit most from DM...

1. an Alien/ energy weapons and advanced explosives, i.e. plasma grenades
2. a cowboy/gunslinger/ cowboy weaponry 1890 and down
3. all around modern soldier/ modern "army" weapons, guns and explosives
4. hack n' slash barbarian/ uses melee
5. private investigator/ hand to hand and neo noir handguns

Thanks in advance...

I'd recommend either 1 or 3, because...

Spoiler
The weapon you're given at the start is an energy weapon, and it seems to be most effective against the "Ghosts." Option 3 would also be good since you find A LOT of Guns and projectile ammo. Also, explosives are an effective way of dealing with the Ghosts.

I have no other use for those MS points at the moment, I still went out and spent $20 for one purpose, to get the DLC.

I'm sure you will at some point down the road. It's not exactly money down the drain.

ITs just not fun, imho.

You don't capitalize the first word after a comma - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Comma

And I said in my humble opinion, so I would assume that you would realize that it is my opinion and not facts. And you still have not given me any counter arguments except to say that it is just my opinion, what is obvious.

Does that involve anything with my post? No, I thought not.

Okay, So don't force it down your throat because i'm pretty sure "Make an arguement, Because there probably can't be." is.

Ok..Just before you all read on, this might contain spoilers. I'm new, so I don't know how to spoiler tag things yet. So, SPOILERS

Ok, I'm making an account because for the first time, in a long time I have been genuinely disappointed. I was counting down the days until this DLC was released, mocking my PC and PS3 friends about our exclusive DLC. So, I woke up quite happy to switch on my xbox and Download the Brand new DLC. I coughed up the £8(ish) required and set it on download. ( skip 10 mins....)

I load up Fallout New Vegas, excitedly waiting to embark on a new adventure, to explore and become immersed in a world I love so deeply. I load into my game and immediately set off to find the entrance to the new area. Bringing my "Kick-ass inventory" and Boone, just to complete my "Win combo". I head to the bunker and enter. The sign says the usual, like it did with the pitt. I continued and got knocked out by gas. At that point, I seen the pop ups. Boones returned to Novac. I was a little disappointed. But then remembered that their were three other followers in the DLC, so I decided to dismiss that complaint.

I wake up infront of some old man in a plain and dull environment, I listen to some hologram waffle on. ( This is were I started to lose faith. I listen to all dialogue, I experiment with every choice. But this, it bored me.) He tasks me with finding some people no problem says me, thinking I had all my awesome gear. I get control back and all I have is some pants rifle. I frowned, but continued. I fought my way paste two "Ghosts" which, took too many shots and was just plain boring and found my way to the police station.

Upon entering the station, my collar starts beeping, I have no clue whats happening, I run to a terminal, panic and wonder what I'm meant to do. *Boom*. Dead. ( Suffice to say, I was not impressed. )
Reloads, ran past he terminal, into the basemant. Becoming forever more annoyed at this mechanic.( Something which detracts from gameplay, forces me to keep to a path and just plain bores me? Good thinking Mr.Developer )

So, I'll skip some. I get the first follower, and my levels of disappointment are high, not beyond saving, but you have forever lost my faith.

The second follower, is in "Trap land" or as I now call it: "lets completely piss off any user ever land" with enough coins to afford one doctors bag, I decided to make the purchase ( Something which was wise...) And made my way through the area, (Light step perk made this very easy.) Having to disarm everything for the sake of my follower. This bored me. It was getting to the point where I was actually wondering if this wasn't some sick Joke. I get to the second guy. (Wounded, with low health and one stimpack ). Talk to him ( skipped dialogue, When someone as RPG mad as me skips dialogue...YEAH YOU DONE SOMETHING WRONG! ) After talking to him, he says theirs a shortcut back. Delighted at not having to fight through any dull environments and boring enemies, I followed. Only to be lead into the "Gas of fun"...I quickly lost the follower in the maze of streets and ended up dying from the gas. ( Yay...NOT ) Reload. I skip through his dialogue again and spend the next five minutes fighting my way through the same boring way which I came, to avoid going though the "Gas of stupid design choice". Needless to say, I was getting pretty annoyed.

Skip again....third follower. For this I'm not even going to explain it. I just ran, avoided everything and saved at every doorway. I rushed through, skipped her dialogue and rushed back. End of. ( Anger levels rising still.)

After collecting all the followers, the hologram man then told me I had to take each of the followers to a designated point, I took one look at my map, seen how far off it was and said No. I quit, reloaded a save a made outside of the DLC area and continued on playing the main game and exploring the "Fun, free-roaming" world with my "Cool kit".

END OF SPOILERS.

So, I can say this has been the worst purchase on DLC I have made and I am extremely disappointed. To any others having thoughts of purchasing this, do yourself a favour and don't. I'm already passing along the message to my PC and PS3 fans to pass this DLC up if and when it's released multi-platform.

TLDR version:

Waste of money. Do not get.

Hi. I would like an unbiased opinion about the dlc. I have played New Vegas for over 100 hours between my characters and I would like know if the dlc is worth the money.

I also pointed out some big design flaws which above all else, made it completely devoid of any fun. I explained what I played and what I thought. It is my opinion that this game couldn't keep a fallout fan, ( From Fallout/Fallout 2/Tactics) with thousands of hours clocked in across the games, entertained and did not in any way provide a fun and exciting environment to play in, The overall design was poor and mostly just dull.

Pros:
Spoiler

  • New companions are extremely well-written and developed.
  • Excellent voice acting.
  • Recruiting the new companions through dialogue is more involved than simply asking them to join you, and having them respond with an immediate "Sure!"
  • Slow, moody pace compliments the atmosphere of the DLC.
  • Quite lengthy compared to DLC found in many other titles.
  • Ghosts are great enemies.
  • Raised level cap.
  • It's more New Vegas.

Cons:
Spoiler

  • Losing all your equipment at the beginning is pretty lame.
  • The exploding collar is annoying.
  • You can't bring any companions into the DLC with you.

Spoiler tags to avoid offending anyone.

Spoiler
Challenge/Quest related. Nothing for leveling up.

I like this DLC. Been playing it all day and still not finished with it. If you're having trouble getting Stimpaks

Spoiler
There are about a billion Sierra Madre chips laying around. Once you find the Stimpak code (which you will if you explore at all) you can buy them from vending machines.

... Yeah there is.
The new perks are not lvl 30 to lvl 34 perks.
Check the lower leveled perks when you level up.
There's one called Shining Armor or something which gives +5 DT towards energy weapons.
Around 7 new level up perks.

Sounds like someone had a bad day, what happened, you die and have to restart at a save waaay back? Or did you lose your favorite weapon? Whatever it is it cant be so unbearably horrible that you have to drop the controller, take out out FNV and put FO3 and then come on a forum to cry about it when most people cant even get it yet. I haven't played it yet so I have no judgment, but reserve the judging for the people who still want to play it.

Or maybe you actually loved it and you cant stand the thought of others having the same fun and enjoyment as you so you try to turn them away...very clever..... ;)
