What is Hobbler?

Because I think thats a quest perk.

It's a level up pekr, you get better VATS % at legs.

1. In Shining Armor. << You gain an additional +5 DT against energy weapons while wearing any metal armor, +2 while wearing reflective eyewear. (only with energy weps tho so only truly effect agaist fiends and brotherhood so far)

2. Junk Rounds. << think of this as a ammo form of the jury rig perk (useful is your making you own ammo alot)

3. Light Touch. << 5% more crits when waering light armour and enemys crits go down 25% (good for sniper builds)

4. Old World Gourmet. << You gain +25% addiction resistance, +50% health bonus from snack foods. Scotch, vodka and wine now give you health in addition to their normal effects. (meh)

5. And Stay Back << While using a shotgun, you have a chance to knock an enemy back (shotgun only again...)

6. Heavyweight << Items over a certian amount of weight has it cut in half (realy only at it best if your using alot of heavy weapons at once)

7. Hobbler << better chance to hits the legs (personaly the head is a better option)

I was pretty excited at the start, then I met the Ghost People. After I met the Ghost People I spent the rest of the time limping around looking for items to heal myself with. I kept going though, thinking about how great the treasure in the vault would be. After I found the wonderful treasure that I'll be using for countless hours, I turned off my Xbox and played some Civ V. Oh, I almost forgot about the dozens of deaths from the stupid collar that explodes, because of all the stupid radios that are everywhere.

Definitely, considering how every radio has the exact same frequency that interfers with your collar.

TBH the builds I favour more than others, this list is perfect, and I think evens out alot of the skil specific perks imo.
Thanks for posting it, even if I am on pc.

I just finished the DLC, and I was pretty disappointed with it.

Pros
-Good Loot that was also extremely valuable
-Interesting Companions
-New Weapons and Armor (not much in variaty though)
-Can't return (yes, when this becomes a pro, you have an issue)

Cons
-Linear story (much like O:A, except there are some minor decisions you can influence)
-Annoying Collar feature
-Large clouds of gas that not only make it hard to see, but do alot of damage to you (what makes it worse is that its hard to avoid in some areas)
-An interesting enemy turns out to be a boring and fustrating enemy that is extremely easy to kill
-Holograms are annoying, don't make sense (they can actually block you from moving if you run into them like a "normal" person would), and feel out of place
-Boring enviroment that is, oddly enough, filled with tons of traps designed to kill people (when there are very few people in the DLC that aren't hostile)

All in my opinion though. Obviously some will agree and disagree.

Lotta people defendin' the DLC in this thread when they haven't even played it themselves. (I see you, PC users!)

It could be true that the DLC is a disappointment.

Just sayin', it aint impossible.

I'd like to believe it's good, but I can't afford to buy it yet. We'll see...

If nothing else, the perks and extra stats are nice to have, ya? :)

I'm not disappointed at all. I haven't finished, but so far I'm enjoying Dead Money a lot.
I'm a slow, deliberate player -- the kind that reads all the terminals, picks every lock, explores every conversation, peers into every nook and cranny. I think this DLC is designed for players like me; if you plan to hurry through you'll have a bad experience like some of the guys who posted here. If you play like I do, you'll have a great time.
I'm guessing I'm about halfway through and my character is pretty well geared up, but if I'd depended on just being able to find stuff laying around I'd have been dead long ago. You have to pay attention (The guy who complained about the exploding collar above? You were warned, dude) -- if you do not collect holotapes & check monitors you will become seriously underequipped -- there's a lot of crafting and, er, dispensing.

It's a shame the DLC could not accommodate every play style; I totally understand why some of you guys are disappointed. Hopefully the next one will be more enjoyable for you.

I have not played this, being a PS3 user, but based on what I've read and the very few videos on Youtube, I'd have to say Dead Money is a reskin of Op: Anch. It gives cool looking loot and a fun story, but in the end, it's non repeatable, linear, and is a constant kill fest with a weapon of your choice. Now, this isn't to say it is a BAD DLC, because it certianly looks very fun, and I want to play it, but Dead Money seems to me to leave something to be desired, but I cannot quite place my thumb on what it is.

Does that involve anything with my post? No, I thought not.

Okay, So don't force it down your throat because i'm pretty sure "Make an arguement, Because there probably can't be." is.

Actually, yes it does.

I just finished it, what a bad ending, even more disappointing. I LEFT WITH NOTHING GOOD :(

It's funny you should mention that, since I was thinking Sierra Madre reminded me of Rapture.

i would for those of us who actually beat the dlc we can say more positive then this guy who wasn't entertained at all by it. the dlc had a good story i wouldn't go back over and over but for new playthroughs it's a essential experience and you should finish you never know what you think of the ending. and to those playing on hardcoe don't because those ghost people are really freakin hard to beat and super fast i just did it on a non hc save because of that fact.

you guys gotta chill some lol there were bugs yeah but if you trouble shoot and turn off the console sometimes you will make it through and plus why would you say no to a level 35 cap? common sense you know?

The more I read these posts, the more I only want to buy it just for the BAR rifle. =/
This DLC seems... much worse now. I guess I must play and judge for myself when it arrives on the PS3.

sounds like an anchorage kinda thing. any decent weapons at least?

and how do you get there? there are multiple places in NV that look like ways to get to future DLC. which one does DM use? the gate at mohave outpost? northern passage? canyon wreckage? abandoned BOS bunker? or is there something new?

Yes, a few knives, a knife spear, and a throwing version of said spear, a BAR, and a Police pistol which is a more detailed .32 from F3 basically.

By the Abandoned BoS Bunker.
