I just finished the DLC, and I was pretty disappointed with it.
Pros
-Good Loot that was also extremely valuable
-Interesting Companions
-New Weapons and Armor (not much in variaty though)
-Can't return (yes, when this becomes a pro, you have an issue)
Cons
-Linear story (much like O:A, except there are some minor decisions you can influence)
-Annoying Collar feature
-Large clouds of gas that not only make it hard to see, but do alot of damage to you (what makes it worse is that its hard to avoid in some areas)
-An interesting enemy turns out to be a boring and fustrating enemy that is extremely easy to kill
-Holograms are annoying, don't make sense (they can actually block you from moving if you run into them like a "normal" person would), and feel out of place
-Boring enviroment that is, oddly enough, filled with tons of traps designed to kill people (when there are very few people in the DLC that aren't hostile)
All in my opinion though. Obviously some will agree and disagree.
Hmm.
Pro's
Writing.
Characters.
Atmosphere.
Level design.
Difficulty.
Almost a weapon for each weapon class. (Explosives get that gas canister but they are like Bio-Gas from Point Lookout; limited.)
Ulysses info. :ahhh:
New toxic gas feature.
New chips exchange system.
Lengthy DLC. (It's [censored] huge! It took me 9 hours to complete (excluding smoke breaks, toilet visits and occasionally reading the forums for a minute or two.)
Con's
Can't return. (I liked roaming the streets in fear of the ghost people and the gas, what I hated about The Pitt was that I loved to fight the Trogs, but they didn't respawn which means I can only fight them once.)
The companions aren't permanent. (But I respect that, it's sad I couldn't bring DoGod back with me but I understand why I couldn't at the same time.
The exploration isn't rewarding enough. (Exploration is only good if there is good loot like uniques and stuff to find, if there isn't any, then exploration is pointless.)
Lengthy DLC. (While I like that it's long it also puts me off to complete it again, listen, in the wasteland I can do whatever I want to do, if I want to complete a quest, I can do so, if I just want to play Caravan, I can do so, if I just wants to kill stuff, I can do so, in Dead Money, I get clausterphobic, especially since I can't return once I've completed it. It means that I'm stuck in there for at least 6 hours.)
I know that. I meant there is not an achievement for getting to level 35. I must have just mistaken perks for achievements. Oops!
Ah, ok.
