I really hope someone at Bethesda or Obsidean takes the time to read all of our comments. I've seen some that are really good, and had a few myself.
1) I liked the idea of playing your own music in game. This could be done via a Pip-boy radio station. (This was mentioned but I liked)
2) I think players should be able to create traps in the game like those they come across. Similar to how you can build weapons why not traps. I think being able to build Shot-gun traps, and Grenade flowers would be awesome.
3) DLC should give you more schematics. This would make it nice to build new weapons, plus gives you a reason to go back and pick up stuff that left behind earlier. Otherwise there is alot of 'JUNK' in the wasteland. It would be nice to see more of that be useful.
4) This is my complicated one so I put it in detail below. But basically I think it would be cool to be able to combine some outfits (maybe as a skill or perk? like Armorour). I have a bunch of outfits that I carry even at high level that don't do more then one thing. So I have one outfit to heal, and another for repair, and another for barter, etc. It would be nice to combine this. Also, at higher levels of this skill/perk you can either retian more abilities of the armor or a higher percentage of the original outfits ability.
DEVELOPERS- Don't necessarily want to be able to strengthen armor to much, maybe only be able to combine non-armor. Also, if done as a perk maybe only be able to access this ability every 5 levels or something. That way you can't max it out to quick.
There are three ways i think this could be pulled off successfully.
- Higher level allows you to combine outfits and maintain more 'abilities'
Level one- Combining outfits allows you to keep two abilities. If you try to combine outfits with more than one ability each one is selected from each at random. New abilities are smaller percentage of original (i.e. original Repair 30%, new outfit is Repair 10%)
Level two- Combine outfit to keep three abilities. If more than three abilities they are selected at random. Higher level retention (i.e. original Repair 30%, new outfit is Repair 15%)
Later Levels- Allow you to keep more abilities with higher level retention
- Higher level allows you to see which 'abilities' will be created and level retaining
Level one- When combining two outfits (Med/Rad Resistance and Repair outfits) you learn that new outfit will have some level of Repair and some other ability (but not how much)
Level two- You learn that new outfit will some level of Repair and Rad Resistance (but not how much)
Level three- You learn that new outfit will have X% Rad Resistance and X% Repair
Later level- Outfit will retain higher level of retention. (i.e. If repair outfit had Repair of 30%, new outfit will be at 10% (level 4), 15% (level 5), 20% (level 6), etc
- Higher level allows you to select which abilities to keep (in conjunction with 1)
Level one- You're able to select one ability to guarantee from one outfit (but level will be percentage of original, i.e. Guarantee Repair but instead of 30% it may be 15%) outfit
Later Levels- Able to select more abilities, higher level retention, more abilities on final outfit
Hope this is helpful, and an idea that others support.
