What do you want in New Vegas

Post » Fri May 27, 2011 7:40 pm

I would like to see another "tranquility lane" kind of mission from FO3
go on in new vegas except maybe live a memory of the old new vegas residents ex mafia, gangs, etc
and another idea is "in the pitt" characters became sick
and turned into creatures i think the same concept should lead residents to become addicted
to gambling like the beggars always ask for coins and such in the TES series.

btw drinking water for "hardcoe mode"
in FNV is a HORRIBLE IDEA <_<

I think I'd be happy with just simple stuff like readable books and weather. The capital wasteland could have done with rain and dust storms and such. On a console it was impossible to mod that stuff into the game. Other than that I'm pretty sure I'll be content with whatever NV offers me.

Pretty random, but i'd like a trenchcoat similar to that worn by Vance/the Sheriff in Fallout 3 only with a small Smiley Face pin on the left lapel.

...yes

Oh, another thing I'd like to see is a flintlock rifle and or pistol lol. I think that'd be a pretty humorous weapon to use against a raider lol. Raider draws a switchblade only to get blasted by a 500 year old rifle, and then you spend a LONG feeling minute reloading it lol. Not likely to be in it but a fun idea anyway lol.

Maybe a way to die clothing different colors if its not too much to ask, i know its not at the top of your list but i bet when most of these guys were playing FO3 they wanted different colors for their clothing, personally i wanted a jet black trench coat

OH! and dual pistols or revolvers would be wicked awesome

over past few years I have almost lost my faith for modern games. They just wont make good games anymore.

What I want for next Fallout game:

- Turn based combat
- All game mechanics from Fallout 1 and 2
- Harder overall difficulty
- Modability
- PC only

but those things wont happen during my life time anyway (expect modability) :(

these are my thoughts only, do not take this as offence :)

well for starters i hope they add better gun anims and more gun types. seriously is a pump action shot gun too much to ask for? or a bullpup rifle (sa80 was in FO2)

it would also be nice to have actual named weapons. Why not M21 instead of Sniper Rifle or M16 instead of assualt rifle

Just updating F3 mods, I came upon another thing: Old weapon designs. The East Coast weapons looked much too different from the original Fallout weapons. Would very much like to have good old Wattz instead of the pretty bland AER9.

I don't know if anybody else said this but I would like to keep the radio function on the pip boy. Perhaps even getting up dates what is happening in the capital wasteland from galaxy news radio. But I would just be satisfied with keeping the radio around.

Can we have our names in lights? With the character portrait lighting up on a billboard just as the player tries bluffing a guard on the strip.

"Gambling News Radio"? I would like that to stay as well, the only problem is that you need another Three Dog character for it. Just as a side-note, what would they call the Vegas area, do you think? Vegas Wasteland, Desert Wasteland, something else?

they want to ensure the fallout universe is seperate from our own so even if they use names I doubt they wont be the real once, plus if you know the gun you hold in your hand is a M16 look alike what is the big woopie if it?s called that or not

Yeah, I can cope with that. I just need to know how much space you need to play.

the following are a few things I think can be improved on and some ideas i think would be cool.
10) I would like more realistic damage because I don't wanna meet the guy who can take a box off 5.56 rounds to the back and still kill you. :nothanks:
portable auto turrets and laptop style controls for target params, power, and packing up also in this line portable tents you can put up in the wastes to get some shut eye complete with ammo boxes and med kit both stocked

it's the little things that count thats how you make reality and virtual reality indistinguishable

Bethesda I come before you as a mere man that I may make you gods

you understand that most of the technology is wiped out and the only technology is the tech in the 50's other than computers. Auto Turrets? are you kidding me this isnt MW2, that barely is real (it is real but not like in MW2)

as i said in another post, i said that the fallout universe was nuked technology was wiped out, they wouldnt have that kind of weapons when they have most of the technology from the 50's

The culture is 50s, not the tech, the tech is just inspired by the Golden Age of "Science!". Auto turrets were in FO3 so I guess it's MW2.

I may be confused Idan....

but im pretty sure the war didnt happen in 50s the divergence did

i think the war happened sometime in the 2000s , 2077 maybe? i cant recall, which means that a lot of similar but different weapons may have come out. Hell identical weapons made by identical people could still easily exist. No reason why the Uzi might not exist as the Uzi. Some of the more recent stuff would likely have not been developed in favor or energy/plasma/laser stuff since that is a Scientific! reality in Fallout universe....but that doesnt mean they might not have some weapons from the 60s/70s/even 80s still

Explain the the auto turrets in Fallout 3 then? He's just saying he wants to control one/deploy one and I think it's a good idea.

many people may not agree with me on this, but i kinda of want to have to eat food and drink water every couple of days. i think that would really add to the realism and im not saying you would HAVE to but if you dont there could be some effect on aiming or vision or run speed.

also, i think that everything (except caps) should way something. and it would also be cool to start your own faction.

what i really want though is NOT to be able to make the perfect character. it ruined FO3 for me. that and you should always feel like your fighting for survival and caps. about a quarter of the way into FO3 i could buy anything i want and still have bags of caps.

Then this game and its hardcoe mode is right up your alley.

Obsidian has said they want you not to be able to play such a jack of all trades and are implementing a hardcoe mode that will make Ammo weigh something, institute a hydration meter, stimpacks heal over time, and probably a thing or two im forgetting.

I think that's all they've explicitly said about hardcoe mode.

I'm still hoping that they won't just make enemies bullet sponges and call it a day for the combat.

hardcoe Mode is separate from Difficulty

You could play hardcoe Easy if you want or hardcoe Very Hard for the ultimate challenge the game could present

I just hope they keep it that way
