I don't like how he dosen't give a sh*t about non-Nord population of Skyrim then turn around and complain about Skyrim and Nords being oppressed by the Empire.
However, he looks kind of hot and if he'd show interest in hooking up with my with Argonian lady, I certainly wouldn't say no to some... ahem... 'spear polishing'.
Maybe his obsession with the true sons and daughters of Skyrim is due to not getting any since a long, long time ago. Being a rebellion leader gets lonely.

I like him too. I do however think he is unfit to lead Skyrim. But The Imperials torture and execute. There just evil.

he's a rebel fighting against the evil empire to preserve his homeland and traditions. he believes in the old ways and took out the soft high king in single combat and didnt assume the throne, but rather follows the old customs and awaits the moot. He doesnt let snooty elves boss him around and rallies his brothers and sisters to do the same

tullius is a dike and elf puppet, elisif is too soft to rule so she lets him have the power which makes her unworthy of being high queen

Agreed. He's a great character for sure, but not all great characters have to be liked. I love how in Skyrim there really isn't any "right" or "wrong" decisions. The player isn't really forced to love or hate many aspects of the story/quests.

Yes, that's one of the main reasons that most people don't like him. He's a racist [censored]. He hates the Dunmer and Argonians for no good reason, and makes them live in the slums. The Argoinans don't have the right to live there at all. Long live the Aldmeri Dominion! Long live the Empire!

I think he's a great character... but a great leader of a rebellion? I'm not so sure about that. I know he's a winner as far as storytelling goes, however. He has generated much conversation on this forum.

Ulfric for High-King! He's a great character and more fleshed out i feel than Tullius.

He's probably one of, if not the most controversial characters in Skyrim. This is why most threads that have his name in the title usually have a lot of replies. He invokes strong feelings with a great number of players, weather it be love, admiration, pity, or hate. (Mostly hate )

If I recall correctly there a female high elf who has good life in Windhelm and it all because she works hard and earns people respect. Now if Dummer actually got over there pride and actually do some dam labor that would certainly make the there lives much easier on them.

Exactly! They say Ulfric's a racist but he lets them live in his city? And if you listened carefully to those 2 drunks when you first enter Windhelm they don't like the Dunmer because they refuse to help the Stormcloaks. While that other Dunmer and that girl Altmer are both accepted in Windhelm because they work hard.

i like him and i do not understand where people pull the racist bit from, because he lets the dunmer handle their own affair and does not inturde on their part of the city? because he does not give free rooms to he poor? if the dunmer would do something themselves then their part o the city would be a lot nicer and if the argoniansfound a new job they could get in (only reason they are outside is because a stuck up racist [not ulfric] is under paying them and they could not afford to live in the city, not long at least)

Another reason why Argonians aren't allowed into the city is that ever since Morroiwind disaster Argonians have rise up from there oppressers and beat the crap out of them and force most of them out.

personally I sided with the imperials, but my character kills everybody indescriminatly. All those forts that you have to take control of, yeah after the civil war I went and cleared them out again. One thing that gets on my nerves though, why are all those damn storm cloak officers listed as essential

Ulfric is a pretty cool guy. He kills the High King and doesn't afraid of anything.

But no really, Ulfric as a character is written very well. He has obvious faults and that brings him out as a character rather than just a leader. The background lore such as the Markarth Incident book and the Thalmor Dossier on him all flesh him out as a character. Not saying that Tullius isn't fleshed out. It's that Ulfric has more lore behind him.

Though his character, I dislike. He's too obsessed with what's in front of him and what was done in the past to think into the future for what it will be if he succeeds. In Fallout Old World Blues, there's a saying. "Old World Blues. It describes someone who is so obsessed with the past that they cannot see the present or the future for what it is."

That's what Ulfric is like. He's obsessed with the White Gold Concordat that he can only see that small length of time in front of him rather than the future of Tamriel itself. With the Stormcloak rebellion succeeding and Skyrim's resources all gone, the rest of Tamriel will falter to the Aldmeri Dominion. At least one or two provinces. Skyrim will also be weakened, unable to support anyone but themselves.

true, ven though dunmer desurved that, it is easier to have 3 argonians stay outside then force an entire district to leave the city

I like him. I mean whether you side with the Imperials or the Stormcloaks, you have to admit, Ulfric is a dedicated man who is doing what he believes to be in the best interest of his people.

I'm a big supporter of him as well, I don't like what the Empire has become and while some criticize him a lot, he shares my hatred of the Thalmor. I know Tullius hates them too but I was never too fond of him after Helgen, but thats just a personal thing. I don't think of any one NPC to be the greatest in the game though.
