Oh god I haven't played a pc game since like ten years ago, the pc I have now I only ever turn it on to download tv shows etc, which I then put on a flash drive and stick in the tele. I absolutely hate PC's with a passion, just such horribly annoying devices to use, Windows seem to make every single task seem like a chore and a hassle to do.
My current pc does have a hdmi port so I probably could play Skyrim in it, but it's not something I would ever want to do. My pc doesnt go straight to the game, have to wait for windows to fart about doing its stuff before you can even do anything at all. But even the logistic would put me of, do people still sit in front of like titchy little 27" pc monitors while gaming?. Because I could never do that so the pc would have to be moved so I could hook it up the tele so I had a screen suitable for gaming, but then where would I balance the keyboard and mouse on my chair/sofa. I don't get it, can you pc gaming post some pics of your setup so I can visualise this.
Surely you guys don't play Skyrim on a 15” laptop?, yeah I know you get cool mods but playing a game like Skyrim (ie one that can last you 300 hours) sounds like torture on the eyes, what do you do, play Skyrim for a few hours, charge the laptop, play for a bit more, charge some more. Also how does surround sound work on a pc?, can you even connect your pc to your home entertainment system?, if you can it sure won't be as simple as the one optical cable that's needed on the consoles.
Such a silly thread this, ordinary Joes will always go for the console option, they want to chat with their mates while playing to compare chevos or whatever, they want to switch the console in sit down and be playing within straight away they dont want the hassle of a pc or the expense of keeping it updated every year in order to run the latest titles well. Pc gaming is only for the hardcoe few, those who must have the ultimate in graphical performance, it will always be a niche market compared to the consoles.
