It's a pitiful amount xD But it runs Guild Wars and some other less interesting games, so that's all I care to use it for! As long as I can draw on it, like.

I do prefer it on console, to be honest, I got a much bigger TV than a monitor. :D

Oh gods no, my mother taught me internet explorer was the devil. (Lol.) She's some computer whizz. Chrome for me, since Mozilla does not like trashy computers!

I play on both PS3 and PC, but before I started playing on PC the reason was this:

Uncomfortable playing on PC.
Small screen.
Much more technical knowledge needed, especially if you use mods.
Cash.

@Mohfuu

I wouldn't call Skyrim a children's game. I'm sure youngins play it, but it's not designed for them. Limb hacking, necrophilia, drugs, drinking...
Certainly Skyrim was not designed for children explicitly, but the game industry is by and large an industry that caters to children. By children I mean anything up to the age of 18. Those are only my two cents, and I don't intend on bringing the thread off topic. For the record I am not saying I don't play on consoles because I am not a child, I am however a childish man that entertains his childish qualities and I do that best on a computer for my own sake.

It doesn't take much computer to run Skyrim on Ultra settings. I've got a 2009 Toshiba Qosimo, paid $1800 for it, and it runs Ultra just fine. 18" screen and an HDMI output to send to a TV. It doesn't take a $3000 desktop to get the best out of Skyrim.

Partially due to the fact I've been to lazy to build a new computer, but also because I really enjoy being on the couch when I game. Lazy? yep.

But I'm going to build a new gaming rig soon and plan on getting skyrim for PC too.

Because I don't have the moneys too build a computer that's able to run today's games and most of my real life friends and people I know play on the Xbox 360.
This. But I don't care about playing with my real life friends. I only have XBL for DLC.

I have all 3, Ps3, Xbox, and Pc, but I still play most of my games on PC. Pc just feels like it has more control of things, more binds etc. I use my 40inch TV with my pc so i can't complain of not having a small screen :D

I actually have Skyrim on xbox as well, but i just saw how awesome mods were and had to pick it up on PC

The controls factor in a bit, but there are controllers out there for computer. Really it comes down to money and value, I'd just get sick of the process of buying new hardware to keep up with the times after my graphics card became outdated every other month or so and on top of that it's just not that worth it to me. Playing on a PC allows you to run mods, sure, but I'm not the kind of person who loves gaming so much that they'll buy an entire new system just to tinker with some mods and games a bit. I used to have some fun tinkering with Halo's creation kit and even downloading some mods for Oblivion, but once the novelty passed it didn't feel all that exciting. With my PS3 I've had almost 4 years of gaming on one machine that maintains consistent quality. My computer which was able to run Battlefield 2 and Oblivion would probably melt from trying to play Skyrim on even low settings.

All that being said though, if I do wind up getting a new and better computer for school/work purposes, for sure I'll be running and modding Skyrim on it and will thus probably be investing in at least one souped up graphics card

EDIT - Oh yeah, plus the 36 inch HDTV helps as well, though I doubt it'd be a terrible amount of work to port the computer to the TV.

Well I can't really afford an upgraded PC atm. Cash poor and out of work so had to depend on my 360. I have to say that other than the graphics obviously not being on par with the PC version I've been very happy overall with the experience. This is my first Bethesda game on console and it's been just fine. For the 360 I have to say I love the Kinect. I know it's been hit and miss for some but for me it has worked excellently and I love all the extra capabilities it adds.

I do miss the mods but it has kind of allowed me to play the vanilla game in a different way than I used to when I would start installing mods after one playthrough. I've really had fun playing and I do like the controller for movement much better than my keyboard. Yea I know it can be used on PC too but I never tried that before. I wish I had now. Aiming with the stick is a little trickier for me but it just adds to the challenge and makes it fun.

The vanilla game is the same on all systems so the full experience is there. I really have no complaints.

This^^ I've been saying all along. I spent around $550 on my current computer and play Skyrim on high settings. Probably more like $580... Computer was $498 and upgraded the video card for Skyrim.. $80 I think.

I have a really large, nice tv, and a very comfortable couch. I used to pc game all hunched over my pc monitor, getting carpal tunnel from my keypad, and eye strain from my head being so close to the monitor, but those days are over for me. I prefer an xbox controller to a keypad anyday, my nice comfy couch to my computer chair, and my widescreen tv to a pc monitor.

Also... no waiting for patches, no expensive hardware upgrades, and xbox live, which allows me to chat with friends while i'm playing.

Yes, the pc hardware kicks ass on consoles, and the mods are great, but you can have em, as far as i'm concerned.

to each his own...

Because we happened to own one, and no PC good enough for gaming. And it _is_ kinda nice to sit back in the sofa and have everything on that big flatscreen. But on the other hand... If I get myself a good PC I could just connect it to the TV-screen... :)

Hook up a wired 360 controller to your laptop and that'll get you the console's control scheme - it's how I play on my laptop. And for those of you with the appropriate outputs, send the image to your big-ass TV and you're good to go. All the benefits of the console with all the benefits of PC.

This. Its nice to play skyrim on an HD tv while on a sofa. I received a 32 inch LG HDTV for christmas, and I love playing games on it. But if I ever own a pc, ill probably just connect it to my tv

Got on Xbox playing FPS mostly so friends I chat with are on Xbox not PC.
Controller doesn't really matter I use a wired Xbox controller for pc games. I will probably buy the pc version for all the mods when all the DLCs are released and bundled in a GOTY edition.
