I feel somewhat irresponsible for even posting this, but is anyone taking off work for this game? I have never done this but am strongly considering taking a personal day on Tuesday so I can pick the game up tomorrow night at midnight and play it until the wee hours of the morning. Is anyone else taking time off to play this game? I feel like this is something that would be acceptable for a college student who works at Subway, but not for me. I'm married, one kid, and I have a professional job. Pretty funny. My wife has "approved" it but I still have trouble justifying it. Any thoughts?

everyone needs a break now and then. why not take one tuesday.

If you have the days saved up and there's nothing particularly important scheduled I don't see a problem with it.

If someone had a habit of doing this I probably would have a problem with it but that's not the case here.

Hey, if it doesn't interfere with any serious deadlines by all means go for it. But I would like to say as a college student this would not be acceptable for me. Even though I love Fallout so much I wouldn't take a Tuesday lecture off since I only have lectures for this class on Tuesday and Thursday. (Especially since it's a strict History 1 class) But hey, if you don't see yourself regretting it later on go for it!

Well i have W,Th,F off so I'll just wait that extra day to jump on it. Heck i didn't even realize it was coming out so soon. Time flies when you're working.

I'm a high school teacher. I teach economics, I could just leave a list of questions with my students asking them how a nuclear war would affect economies around the world. Ha.

And I have plenty of sick/personal days.

Send them to the computer lab and ask them to research stocks. They should pick three and write a one page summary on why they chose what.

Ha. That would be easy, all of our students have laptops. No computer lab needed. But anyway, coming up with a sub-plan is no problem, its justifying staying home to play a video game that I'm having a moral dilemma with.

You know I would take off work but I'm unemployed so, Freedom to play until 5am in the morning you better believe it. :celebration:

I think it's okay to take a break once in a while. If you have the days saved up and nothing important as far as project deadlines or meetings will be missed or interfered with then I don't see a problem. Plus you said your wife is cool with it so there's a bonus right there.

As a high school student, I would like to say a high school teacher who would take off a day for gaming is the coolest high school teacher I've ever heard of. Go for it.

My economics teacher gave us some stupid list of questions I need to answer on Tuesday, and that's too important for me to get sick and get out through the nurse's office for.

Seriously, why not go for it? I really wish students had personal days, however. We're not allowed to take off days, or else it's called skipping, and I don't like the thought of skipping, so I've never done it. Or are teachers not given personal days and you dislike the thought of skipping as I do?

Yeah i got lucky! The only downside is we each had to buy a copy and we each have our own 360. Marrying another gamer means alot more money spent to feed the habit.
