Here is the email I just sent my boss

I think I am coming down with something that is going to require my presence away from the office tommorrow. There is a nasty bug that is going to hit me hard about 1AM tonight and will require most of the day on Tuesday to work through.

So, I need to call in sick/Schedule a day off for 10-19-10

Have not gotten an answer yet.

Im in the Air force (lol obvious i suppose) and I get up to 30 days of paid vacation each year, I haven't used any of mine yet...soo I think you get the drift :evil:

If your wife approved it you should do it. Just don't make a habit of it, and don't feel guilty about doing it or it won't be worth it.

For me, I have a doctor appointment tomorrow morning near my hometown, so I'm driving back from college tonight, sleeping at home, heading to the doctor in the morning, driving back to college, going to class, and then I have rehearsal with my a cappella group. All in all, I'm not sure whether I'm going to be able to pick up NV until Wednesday, or if I do pick it up, I probably won't be able to play tomorrow. :sadvaultboy:

Personally I don't get it - Here in Europe we have no plans to act so on Tuesday ... No way ... :angry:

You're doing it all wrong. You don't take Tuesday off. You wait the extra days, take Friday off and stay up all weekend. Then you get from end of the day Thursday till Sunday night with the game. :celebration:

I have to wait a few extra weeks for it, but I am already scheduled off from Nov 10-14th!

I can't take any leave off until later on in the month, but when asked why I was taking holiday, without much embarrassment I said, "So I can stay home and play Fallout: NV".

I'm doing it.

I called in sick for Fallout 3, and I'll do it for New Vegas. I have sick time I need to use up by the end of the year, after all. It'd be a sin if I didn't use it.

Anyhow, the original poster has had that much time saved up and he was mentally beating himself up for it? To me it is a no-brainer. I took it off myself, last day decision. That is what Vacation/Personal time is for. To do what you want to do, not what others want you, to do.
The only thing that can remotely possibly be hurt by taking the day off of work is, if the nuclear bombs would actually start to drop. And at that rate, at least you have a head start in training for the post-nuclear apocalypse.

Well, technically they are personal days. I do get summers off but oh well.

Well, us "college kids who work at subway" have school tomorrow. And a lab. A lab and a tutorial, and two lectures, to be specific. Tuesday just happens to be my long day. Can't skip that

It has been my plan since May to plan a cold perfectly timed to let me stay home sick from school. Yesterday I had the sniffles. Today my nose is stuffed up. It appears that my plan is about to reach its fruition. :evil:

I wish I'd had a teacher in high school that was into Fallout, that would have been schweet! And that economy rap was pretty good.
