would you still have bought it?

Yes.
It's my favorite game of all time actually :D
It only needed to beat Oblivion.

Let's see, 400+ hours for me and I still love the game, so yea. Once the CK is released, I'm sure I'll get 400 more easily.

Absolutely. I was thoroughly entertained at a cost of about 12 cents per hour. On that kind of comparison Skyrim is one of the best values in games I have bought in some time. Skyrims biggest flaw is its lost potential. It is a really good game, that COULD have been one of the greatest of all times if they hadn't made so many poor design decisions in some areas. I have never seen such a well built world and dungeons. If they just would have taken a few more steps and made the world feel alive and dynamic, it would have been perfect game.

Skyrim - I like it, it's very addictive. Would i have bought it knowing what i know now ? probabley not. but sad fact is that TES is going more mainstream & dumbed down, so i guess i'll have to live with it, as i enjoy the games concept.

Will i be more wary when buying TES VI ? hell yes.

L.A Noire - I like it, the stories are interesting for the most part (great Homicide story) & the interigation/interview parts are brilliant. I think allot of people think it's going to be a shooter type game, like Mafia or GTA, but its more about the Story side of things. It's a ncie change of pace from FPS's. I watched L.A Confidential the other night, it was like watching L.A Noire the movie

Yep. I'm on my forth playthrough and I'm still discovering new locations, hidden roads or path, missions I haven't done before. This time I'm following the Prima guide closely. Oddly enough I found less quest related bugs, as if the beta testers only played the game the way it's explained on the guide and they didn't think other people would have visited places, completed quests or got to the same objectives in a different way.

After playing skyrim for a long time and discovering all of its imperfections, would you still have bought it?

No.

I don't see Imperfection I see Perfection or at least the closest thing to perfection, so yes I would've still bought it.

Of course I would have bought it.

There is no such thing as a perfect game. Every game ever made has its imperfections. I knew from the start that Skyrim would be imperfect. Even with all its imperfections I think it is still a more enjoyable game than 99% of the games I've played in the last ten years.

I expected it to be cack and was pleasantly surprised. And it's a lot less buggy (at least on my PC) than I expected after the last two Fallouts. Sure there's tons wrong with it, but what do people expect with a game of this size? And it's inevitable either people are going to moan this and that has changed or this and that hasn't changed.

Certainly not at release. Very probably not until it came down in price substantially. Half price for a half-baked game?

What imperfections?

I don't know what you're talking about but probably my answer is: "Yes."

Yes - without a doubt.

The game far exceeded my expectations, and even though I can not currently play my furthest along characters due to permanents CTDs, I love this game to bits.
It's a Bethesda game, the early-ish time after release is generally a rocky and bumpy ride, it is to be expected with something this immense.

With all the releases that came out last year that I enjoy most (Battlefield 3, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3, Assassin's Creed: Revelations, Gears of War 3, Saints Row the Third, Jurassic Park the Game, Uncharted 3, Lord of the Rings: War in the North and Batman Arkham City)--Skyrim was the best of all those purchases. Still play the shii out of it, and never get tired. I just feel there's too much to do, so many dragons to take out, and so many places to go still (even though I've finished all the storylines (i.e. Winterhold, Civil War, Main Quest line, Companions, Thieves Guild, etc). Too many adventures still yet! And I switch between my 2 characters (heavy armor/two handed grim reaper, light armor/assassin). Definitely wouldnt have given this game a second thought! Still my #1 for me! :D

I should have waited to buy it on steam during holiday's sale for 49 bucks. It seems more realistic price of it for PC!

If I had played it for 1000 hours, done every quest, got all the achievements, maxed all the skills and been in every dungeon, I still would have bought it just to have such a superb game sitting on my shelf.

Despite the short quest lines and lack of speech options?

In a heartbeat. In which other game can I skip along picking flowers while a dragon charrs the local wildlife?

I'm glad I bought it, even now. But I wish I'd taken things a bit slower. I paniced when people started shouting "Dragons!" And ran all the way to Uncle Balgruuf in Whiterun instead of enjoying sweet Riverwood and surrounds. I kind of got svcked in to things after that. I keep wanting to stop and smell the flowers but there is so much to do and so little time (In the real world, that is).

You just lost all credibility right there, just trying to be abusive. Just because I don't go around complaining like you, I worship bethesda? Listen to yourself.

Maybe one day you will realise life is to short to complain about stuff like this, you will need to grow up first.

You're is a contraction of you are, so saying 'you're head' makes no sense.

If you're having problems, just turn it in. Simple as that.

~I honestly hadn't read the forum rules, so that was my mistake. >:x
