would you still have bought it?

I would've waited until the CK had been released. Maybe for a few months afterwards, just to see what the modders could do with this fairly blank canvas.

No, I'd have waited for some DLC to come out. Also because if I didn't buy Skyrim I could've got Morrowind GOTY but I got vanilla Morrowind so I guess everything works out.

Closed.

Too much flaming, personal attacks, and lack of respect going on here.

Update:

On review, most of this discussion seemed to be going alright save for the majority of the last page or so. About a dozen posts have been wished into the cornfield, and I will open this thread again.

Remember, people - it's really all about respect for your fellow members, here. That's kind of the golden rule. Don't call people names; or otherwise be insulting, derisive, or dismissive of other members.

If you're here because you're upset about the game, Bethesda, or anything else - don't call those who are less upset stuff like "apologists," "Bethesda Defense Force," "company plants," "trolls," etc.

If you're not as upset as others, then seriously - do not call other members "whiners," "complainers," or to "get a life."

Pretty simple, I think. Though time will tell...

Yep.
Bought the game after reading the reviews on it and seeing that people had issues and then encountering similiar issues myself.

I've sunk a massive amount of hours into this game, it's got me actually on a forum posting messages (something I hardly do) and other things as well. Other games I've only played the first couple hours, then got bored. Heck, the only other game I've got on my computer is a rally racing one, and I can only play that for about 10 minutes at a time before I'm bored.

So yep, glad, very glad I bought the game.

I not only would have still bought it - I would pay $100 for it knowing what I know now and how many hours of enjoyment I'm receiving.

After playing skyrim for a long time and discovering all of its imperfections, would you still have bought it?
I have played many hours already, and i think that skyrim has more bad things than good things, therefore i have thought about this question many times, but then i try to think of any other game that can actually give us more than 100 hours of fun gameplay and i can't, therefore, yes i would still have bought it. What about you?

:tes: & :fallout: FTW

if i would have known all that skyrim would be lacking and, also, not advancing i would still have bought the game.

the reason i'm on a beth website is because i like their games and others like theirs. however, i will continue to speak about improvement, advancement, increased options/customization, meaningful choices, lack of depth/sophistication, classic rpg/character vs. action/player, and all the faults i see.

I'm down to a cost of less than $0.20 per hour. It has reached the point where it's almost as cheap as watching paint dry, but infinitely more entertaining. The imperfections I've run into have been minor and nothing close to game-breaking, so I'd have to say that it has been well worth the cost.

Good question. We were discussing something simular at a meetup today.

I think given both paths I would still take the same path.
Arguably I could have saved 30 dollars on the Collectors editions though because those things are discounted now.

Yes. All of the flaws can be easily fixed by mods.

except for console users.
