Yes, absolutely. It has it's imperfections but it's a great game and well worth the money.

Agreed. I see some minor flaws, but I'm enjoying Skyrim immensely. As much as I enjoyed Oblivion, I'm enjoying Skyrim even more.

I would still have bought it, but for PC rather than PS3 -.-
I've found every Elder Scrolls game to be more enjoyable on PC, and not just because of mods, either.

Yes. All of the flaws can be easily fixed by mods.

I've hadda a LOT of problems with skyrim... glitches galore...

I was 430 hr into my first playthru when the game started freezing...

But I'd buy it again in a heartbeat.

I knew what I was getting into buying a Bethesda game on launch day, so yes, I would.

In the grand scheme of things, Skyrim did not disappoint, and I always get a good kick when the music ramps up during a dragon battle. Overall, what I like far outweighs what I disliked.

Liked:

- Dragon battles are as epic as advertized, and the lightshow I get at the end is always worth the trouble.
- The meticulously crafted world which is as beautiful as ever with just the right hint of foreboding to make it seem like this place really is inhospitable and downright dangerous.
- The dungeons are a massive leap forward.
- The archery is greatly improved.
- The leveling scheme is a lot easier to digest and provides a number of means to flesh out your character in meaningful ways.
- No more overbearing level scaling! It's still there, but it is nowhere near as "in your face" as Oblivion was.

Disliked:

- Quests won't exactly be winning any awards for diversity or good story telling.
- As ever, the release comes with the trademark Bethesda Bug Bonanza.
- The interface is clunky and hard to use on PC.

^On the level scaling issue.. bandits doing 200 damage with iron weapons is a bit excessive D:

Yes. There are many things that I wish that BS did differently when making Skyrim... but it's still a good game and worth what I payed for it.

Having a ball with it; no regrets on buying it. DAII on the other hand, I would happily have passed that one by had I know how awful it was going to be.

Yes. Mods alone will make it worth at least twice what i've paid for it. Besides... I was well aware of most of Skyrim's flaws long before the game was released. :P

Even without mods, I don't think i'd ever regret purchasing any game that gave me a 100+ hours of enjoyment.

Yes i would have brought Skyrim and intend to buy the Game Of The Year Edition with all the DLCs when it comes out. I actually feel guilty for not having brought the Collectors Edition to show as much support as possible. Maybe they'll have a Collector's Editon of the Game Of The Year version when it comes out :D

In general gameplay and enjoyability, yes. I still much prefer Fallout: New Vegas for its RPG elements.

Despite the vast uproar and riots due to the $150 price tag, I still bought the Collector's Edition, and I don't regret it for a second.

lol, of course i would have bought it. it's not even close to a bad or extremely flawed game, in my mind. other people might have higher standards. who knows. or maybe they're too picky for their own good.

Yes, I would buy it as a good game. There's a strong chance for now on any elder scrolls game will only be good games. That's the way it is. I probably won't pre-order again. I'll also get whatever new Fallout comes along....

I'll probably be a little sad every time another installment arrives and is a 'good game'. I hope to God someone else picks up the torch and inspires us again.

I see what you're sayn' here...........If i demo'd the game, played it......even played it until I thought I was done.....

Yes.

It has vast replayability.....in my eyes, because it is moddable (for me), and its radiant quest system takes me back to my first love on TES: Daggerfall (which had infinite quests as well)

So, the series in my eyes is in a mid life crisis right now, but I do believe it will get the things it deserves over time...........cuz we have this great community here.......

Yes I would.
I have not experienced any annoying or gamebreaking glitches yet, just some lag a few times. Hopefully the coming update(s )will reduce the risk of anything reeally bad happening.

After playing skyrim for a long time and discovering all of its imperfections, would you still have bought it?
I have played many hours already, and i think that skyrim has more bad things than good things, therefore i have thought about this question many times, but then i try to think of any other game that can actually give us more than 100 hours of fun gameplay and i can't, therefore, yes i would still have bought it. What about you?

Yes, without a doubt.

I am the reverse of you - I think it has faaaaar more good things than bad things (and I can't think of any game I couldn't come up with at least 1 bad thing for). I am also yet to be hit bad by any glitches or issues (so far it Skyrim has run better and with less crashes and glitch outs than I encountered on my first play with Vanilla Morrowind).

Quantum Cuttlefish - has had Skyrim since release, on the PC, and has yet to regret a second of it!
