If you could bring back one thing from oblivion, what would

Spellmaking, I would really appreciate been able to make higher damage destruction magic and feather spells.

Hmm i REALLY miss the Knights of the Nine and the Armor of the Crusader. Whatever happened to that organization? Did the Thalmor wipe em out for worshiping Talos? I am a console player so i cannot use the KotN mod i have seen on Youtube

Spell making... Duh.

Also... Being able to make "_____ damage on self" enchantmentS for clothing and jewelry. I used to make a Human Torch ring with 1pt Fire Damage on self, and 20% Resist Fire.

I'd run around with flames billowing off of me just for kicks.

The guilds. Skyrim's guilds are mostly filled with bland radiant quests, while Oblivion's guilds were more fleshed out, and I liked how every city had a fighter's or mage's guild, which interacted with one another.

Another would be the quest log. Skyrim's quest log is so vague and often leaves the player dependent on the quest markers to know where to go.

There's no ONE thing worth bringing over individually. Any SINGLE item would only mitigate my frustrations with Skyrim, not fix them.

If you wanted one thing from Fallout 3, that's easy: unique dialogue options based on character skills, attributes, or perks. Hell, I want that in Oblivion, outside of Knights of the Nine.

Guild content, Skyrim's guilds feel empty. There are only a few of handmade quests and then a lot of radiant crap that gets repetitive right away. I'd bring back handmade guild quests. As a result there would also be plenty of quests to bing back the promotion system, right now there are fewer quests in each guild than Morrowind had promotions!

The guards.

Keep your damn arrows away from my knees and start shouting about how I violated the law.

I just realised, no one calls me a "scum" in Skyrim :(

The Deadlands. Hey, i'm a svcker for hellscapes ^_^

This is it for me. Skyrim's quest text is the single most frustrating thing in the game. Miscellaneous quests in particular are aggravatingly non-informative. I have had to start keeping a notbook beside my computer to write all the quest information in that should be in my journal.

...awsomeness that skyrim does not have. not saying skyrim has none, it is just a way to cheat and mean all the awsomeness type things that skyrim does not have but oblivion had while still being one over-all thing, just one that would need a lot of other things implamented to make it happen

onlibions awsomeness-

Oblivion? How about Morrowind!

Levitation
(spell crafting)
(Morrowind style enchanting)
Could you elaborate what you mean with morrowind style enchanting? The chance to fail? The "Spell effect" on boots, meaning all the actual magic skills are useless since a master enchanter can cast everything? Or perhaps the regenerative charge? I for myself would not want the "activation" type enchantments. It was hilarious to create a shield that let me spam healing spells for free... But that's just as broken as a mechanic can be. The chance to fail was just a boringly easy step you could bypass to create god-like enchanting at level 1, by constantly reloading until you succeeded.

I would, however, have wanted regenerating charges. As well as quite a few extra effects to enchanting.. It's quite boring in skyrim to just have fortify skill and fortify helath/stamina/magicka enchantments..

From Morrowwind, I would bring back the ability to collect pillows. My characters like nothing better than coming home from a day of pillaging and hopping into a bed with about 20 pillows.

Armour degradation, Greaves, 4th ingredient in alchamy, gold cost for enchanting, attributes. Never understood why ALL this was removed, and I never will.

Bethesda has quite the fetish for removing things, if you haven't noticed :P

What if you're playing a warrior character who wants enchanted gear but doesn't want to make it himself? Makes plenty of senese to me.

But you dont pay somebody to make it in skyrim, you disenchant things and then use a soul gem to enchant new things based on your skill level, makes NO sense to pay for something that you are doing with nobody's help
