Don't spend any perk points until your at least level 10 to 15 and start to get a feel of what your playing style will be and what skills you will never use.

That you will not survive from similar falls that you'd survive in oblivion.....

I would have liked to know That the ps3 version would be unplayable........

This is untrue.

I wish I had known how many perk points I would have and how spreading them out makes you super weak in some aspects.

That when whoever you side with at the tutorial says "we should split up", you really shouldn't.

you never split up, the general rule is that the [censored] is gonna hit the (adoring) fan just after they are out of ear shot or too far away to help.

  • That you can place spells, bows, and swords in your favorite menu.
  • That you can change weapons in mid-combat. For some crazy reason I thought you could not change just like it was in Oblivion.
  • That you can have a main quest marker and miscellaneous quest marker active at the same time, and you can turn one of them off.
  • That you have to unlock shouts.
  • Killing a chicken in Riverwood at level one would get you killed. I now know to leave chickens alone.
  • Giants are in no way friendly.
  • You can move while over encumbered.
  • You can fast travel while over encumbered if you are on a horse.

That pretty much summed it up for me.

Ignore crafting, and avoid collecting too many ingredients/ores/ingots/etc...
Waste of space, waste of time, and takes away from the enjoyment of dialogue and story.

Buy it for 360! since my ps3 died a week after starting the game ( i dont blame the game dont worry ) and i ended up paying for a new ps3, i could have used said $ to buy a 360 and would have had less problems with bugs and the god forsaken lag! or should i say Bethesda forsaken lag? lol im jk'ing, i love bethesda and know they are working hard round the clock to fix the ps3 problems, and will support them fully now and forever.

either that or just do it right and get a decent pc that can handle the game and just play it on there, that would be the ideal change before starting thing. but im poor. sad face.

Not trying to derail the topic or have a go but don't love a company that sold you a broken game.

It's an amazing game but with game breaking lag since fallout, fully supporting them will not make them turn around and release a functioning game

Close your eyes between loading screens. Bethesda likes to spoil the surprise and show you what all the best armor looks like as soon as you start the game.

Just one? Since a lot of folk have made the chicken thing obvious (which I did minutes after walking into Riverwood), ill say, I wish I knew to keep my prisoner save file, and make a manual save right before I made my character.

First thing i did was split up from my escapee, walked forwards like ten paces admiring the view. Then put said controller down for a drink then get conveniently [censored] by 3 wolves!

Oh yea, I REALLY hated that. For some reason they thought it was a cool plan to keep showing us everything we`re going to see ahead of time and RUIN the whole point and excitement and finding out yourself.

I`m on the PC, so downloaded a Mod that blanks the screen whenever it wants to do this... Much better.
