Don't join the stormcloaks at all.

well, but if you want to, don't do that before season unending or else you can't complete the main quest line

That magic would end up being unwieldy and tedious to switch between spells.

That Skyrim is basically a re-painted Fallout marketed as a TES game.

1 over hyped
2 that the game is unfinished..
3 that Bethesda rushed to meet there stupid 11.11.11 deadline that was more important than the actual game and integrity of the Bethesda name.. thats worth nothing now -_- if the games not finished DONT release it.
- how about this take away the award for GOTY due to it being an unfinished product.
4 while injoying the game to lvl 75, that bethesda would release a patch ( pc 1.3.10 (that was not even there idea but but one of the moding community))
that would in turn Crash the game to desk top every time you enter a instance that has been modified prior to the patch eg. "whiterun From Jorrvaskr" "Shroud hearth barrow" and " Understone Keep"
5 that update means "Pleases wait one moment while Bethesda breaks your games save file" to bad start again
6 magic WOW nice work stuffing that up.. no really goood job
7 that the Thieves Guild is the only guild that the team cared about finishing
i could keep going on and on.. my god after working in the industry and then seeing that this is the state that it has risen to..
im very glad i do not work for your team.. have you thought to actually test your products maybe?

That I should wait until 3-6 months after the CK comes out to play it for the first time so that I could do so with some balance/difficulty mods.

Stupid thing is, as a long time Bethesda/Elder Scrolls gamer, I did know that.

Seriously? I've got to try that.

Time to read this thread from beginning to end.

That pressing R will un-nock an arrow you had drawn to fire. Man the amount of arrows I wasted because I didnt know how to cancel until some kind person on this forum mentioned that you could. You saved me a fortune and I felt so dumb for not knowing

I wish I had known how bad it would look on a normal CRT TV compared to LCD and plasma tv's. I can barely read the squiggles (words) in some of the menus and subtitles.

That two weeks later a patch would come out that would make some dragons fly backwards and your resistances would not work anymore.

Ahh so much. For my first TES game I could have really done some more research

1. Ctrl 1-9 (PC)
2. Everything about the concepts (ie, this really is a sandbox game not just one that says it is!)
3. Dont commit to perks till you know what the heck is going on
4. Dont call your character Anus cause whilst its funny for the first 20 levels, it does get tedious
5. You can run! (just found this out on this thread...)
6. Gaints and wolves are slightly different challenges
7. R
8. Gold will come, dont stress chasing it early on

For this PC user: That the letter "R" was not the letter to draw the bowstring back to its maximum position - for the first 4 days in my game, arrows flew about 4-5 feet and then fell on the ground. Totally useless, instead my assassin had to use a 2H sword to fight.

Even the in-game helpfile said to use "R."

Finally, on day 4 another player told me to hit ESC and go to the menu that has a button in the left bottom corner to re-set the keys to default. After that, the left mouse button worked as advertised and I was of leveling bow skills.

Seems like the program, during installation, assigned random key positions. After re-setting the keys, the in-game help file also changed and now reflected, correctly, to use the left mouse button to draw the bowstring back.

And why would you think there's something wrong when even the in-game help file tells you to use a certain key. I figured that was a last minute change to the game.

Sigh.

3. STAY OUT OF SIGHTLESS PIT.
So true!

I wish someone had told me not to activate any of the three initial guardian stones. After a while I forgot the effect was there, didn't choose any other stone and was leveling up so fast that I ran out of skills before I even properly started the guild quests. I didn't touch those stones with any of my characters after that.
