How optimized are these textures? How much of a Video Memory usage bump should we expect?

Is it just me or did the saturation for the whole picture get a little bump in the after screenshot? And some sharpening.

Forgot to turn off my color scheme for web purposes (Display calibration), so it affects the screenshot, but no sharpening. :)

Really hate being picky, but I love trees, and Silver Birch are my favourite!

Silver Birch trunks are (nine times out of ten) a lot darker at the base of the tree than the rest of the trunk. Especially when there are deer around to tear the bark off. Look at your comparison image, and you'll see Bethesda captured this well. Here's some reference images to further prove the point:

Your version textures the whole thing to look equally white, which doesn't work for the base unfortunately.

and again, it's not a finished texture, I'm aware on how a birch tree looks :) Read the red text in the OP :)
But thank you for the tip anyway, appreciate it :)

When you are finished, could you compress your textures (DXT5) and package them into a .bsa archive to circumvent the things mentioned in this thread?

WTF was I talking about, environment textures without Alpha channel only need DXT1

here is a good link (from the thread)

Unless its models/textures/sounds for a mod with associated .esp/.esm.

In which case it does make sense.

For a texture replacer, however ...

21/11 Update Screens! (Also working on better texture blending so the transitions are smoother than the original textures):

http://i148.photobucket.com/albums/s5/AaGeOn/TEST20-11-1-1.jpg --> yellow leafs need a bit more saturation
http://i148.photobucket.com/albums/s5/AaGeOn/TEST20-11-2-1.jpg --> Big white flowers aren't finished yet, need detail.

http://i148.photobucket.com/albums/s5/AaGeOn/TEST20-11-4.jpg --> base texture, needs further detailing

Inject texture replacers in DEFAULT Skyrim .bsa (overwriting) and repack with less or nothing compression is better than in folders and give more space

The very first release: landscape only Preview release will be launched in a few days, the ETA for the full package: When it's done, it's done.
98% is made from scratch so it'll take time :D
