I'm not sure if it's meant to be this way, but any decent melee weapon + combat armor mk2 = death to most enemies even if you have a really low melee score. My STR score is pretty low too - below average even. I shouldn't be able to take out cavadores with a machete gladius, right? I am fairly high level, but I thought the melee score had more to do with viability of melee combat than character level. It just seems a little overpowered considering I never spent any points on melee combat skill other than the few I got from books.

I lost all my credits on the roulette wheel at Atomic Wrangler and the game CTD'd when it went from "playing roulette" mode to giving control of the game back to me.

I saw Anders in Cottonwood strung up on a pole but it wouldn't let me do anything for him, so I killed him. Later I had to lie and say that Caesar's legion killed him. If there is an option to save him, why does it only show when you get the quest? Why can't I save him and then get the quest?

The GKs who traveled with Benny made it back to the red canyon, but even though they are there the dude you can talk to still says "make it quick, I have a long way to walk."

Lakelurks never attack you in the water. They just swim up to you and wait for you to emerge to land. Since they are amphibious, shouldn't they attack you while you are in the water?

Caesar's legion are dumb about the weapons they choose to attack me with. Half the time they go melee but when I search their bodies I see spears and guns. Is it because I had on combat armor mk2 and my DT was too high for them to damage me with? If that is the case, shouldn't they just run away?

I found a tribal village close to Goodsprings. There were a bunch of burned bodies and then in the encampment there were a bunch of dead raider/gang bodies that had been killed by cavadores. Was that supposed to happen or did the cavadores spawn in the wrong place? I ask this because I have also seen giant radscorpions spawn in the wrong place (the NCR camp with the statues usually has at least one and several NCR people are dead now because of it).

How come "named" characters can see through my disguises? What is the rationale for that? I can go past 30 guys and if I bump into one dude with a name suddenly my whole disguise is blown. Couldn't that at least be based on my skills or stats instead of making it automatic?

I saw a caravan merchant get taken down by some monsters. Shouldn't they be made essential? Do I have one less person to trade with now?

When I kill a lakelurk with a laser pistol he remains standing up. If I move the body with the z key then it crumples like dead bodies are supposed to. This does not happen every time but it happens a good bit.

Ive had that bug, restarted due to it.

now im back at repconn, and after talking to him via the intercom he lets me into the locked area with the bright ghouls, and when I open the door and load into that area, he drops dead.

just drops dead for no reason, quest fails.


Another "bug" ive noticed is if you pick the friend of the night perk (low light vision helper) the night scope on your varmit rifle basically becomes useless during the day , everything is so washed out bright green you can't see squat.

other mentions...

not sure what triggers it, but right after i reload a weapon and run up to the creature or enemy to loot, i'll be stuck in a slow mo like reload and running into the body for like 5 seconds as i get shot up helplessly until it returns to normal.




I'm not sure whatt it's called, but if you put the camera view for shots fired to none in the game display, should fix it. It fixed it in my game.

Small bug:
Sheriff's Hat - ID OutfitLucasSimmsHat - Is set to no repair. This is probably an oversight, since it wasn't repairable in FO3 unless it was modded.

Released a small mod to fix it. Can use any pre-war hat, to fix it in the meantime. Much like any other cowboy style hat.

Desperato hat - ID Cowboyhat01 - suffers from the same problem but is set to repairprewwarhat already. Not sure what's up with that.

When Veronica ask me to return to BOS in Hidden Valley, it's OK.
But when we go to speak with the elder, nothing happens. They just look each on other.

Happily, after i used autosave and went to elder again, they complete they dialog.

In Golf Camp my E-DE was suddenly attacked by NCR soldiers. All compass markers was green, and Veronica stayed aside and does not fight. Very VERY strage bug.

UI bug
-Every time an amount dialog opens when bartering or in a container the mouse jumps to the middle of the screen. Not only is this annoying but that fact that it's not over a click able button it's useless. Can we just leave the mouse where it is. Jumping it around the screen just makes the player have to pick up the mouse to get the pointer and the mouseing surface back to being relative.

- I have the 'Tribal Pack' and every time I launch the game, I get a steam-message 'Tribal Pack has finished downloading'.

Steam does this with DLC packs in every game. Not sure why, it pops up 4 messages about downloading DLC almost every time I run Borderlands.

And another bug i've encountered is that Casinos on the Strip may take your companions default weaponry and not give them back. I took Arcade Gannon into the Gammorah, did some stuff, went back out. None of his weapons, include his default weaponry were returned to him, but they were all on ED-E for some reason. Maybe his defaults still are on ED-E but since they are a hidden item I can't give them back. I can't reproduce this every time, it seems to work fine with Boone or Cass, maybe it's just limited to Arcade.

Edit:

Confirmed this also happens with Veronica. And I didn't even actually bring her into the Gammorah. And it her case I got nothing back she was carrying.

I can't run this game more than 45 minutes without a crash.


I installed the 10.10c catalyst driver hotfix. The crashing is possibly a little better, but I've still had a few BSODs and a few crashes.

Hi dear devs, just to let you know, i am experiencing an annoying audio bug when i talk to the soldiers with a "scarf" in the mojave outpost for exemple, and elsewhere too. Apart from that and buildings flickering, i am not experiencing too many issues. Thanks for helping us.

I'm playing a male character but the game thinks that I am female, NPC males call my dear etc. When I get attacked I sound like a female also.

Also a friend of mine found a lady-boy near the start of Goodsprings. A dude with briasts.

Yep, I have that one too. Except I have every implants and tens of thousands of caps by now so it's basically useless to me.

As for me, no new bugs to report. Lost Boone last night, was going to reload a save and play again but I got tired and went to bed.

The game crashes when exiting. Besides the NPC lag I have no other bugs.

I have a Steam version of the Fallout: New Vegas. It was all good and awesome until the second patch... The save games are loading just fine, but after the second patch there is a warning message, that some items are no longer present in the game. And now, when I try to trade with any trader, the game crashes to the desktop! I can go anywhere, do whatever I want, talk with anybody, etc... But I cannot trade, because trade = CTD now!

1: There is a missing texture, which i am fairly certain is the Silencer weapon mod for the Weathered 10mm pistol, that comes from the classic pack DLC. when i added a silencer, equipping the gun turned it into one of the giant missing texture "!" boxes.

2: the perk "Friend of the night" which is supposed to give low light vision, is EXTREMELY inconsistant when it turns on and off. sometimes, it will never come on when it shifts to nighttime. sometimes it wont come on when you go inside a dark room or building. Sometimes it wont come on untill youve been in the dark for 10+ minutes, and sometimes it says on in broad daylight, giving everything a slightly weird coloration/view and brightness

3: When Fast traveling to the "Gulp n Glug rest stop" upon arival, i turned behind me, to find that my Humanoid companion became Stuck inside of a fallen metal tower, part of the terrain, and i have to fast travel to unstick them. was able to repeat the effect 2 out of 3 times i tried it to confirm it.

4: 1 out of every 3 times i close new vegas ingame from using ESC>Quit>exit came. new vegas will freeze, as if its about to close. and then will require me to CTRL ALT DEL, and force close it.

5: the companion Boone, if you give him a radiation, or advanced radiation suit, he does not equip it, but as long as its in his inventory, he will no longer wear his beret or any other hat or eyewear.

6: Companion AI at times becomes incredibly inconsistant with their tactics. at times ive had boon randomly pull out a melee weapon, and run across an open field to start meleeing people, despite having a ranged rifle with plenty of ammo.

7: this one MIGHT be intended, but its kinda stupid if it is. When i am sneaking, if i am partially spotted by an enemy, and it turns from [Hidden] to [Caution], my companions will immediatly leap up and run over to attack anyone in the area that might have noticed me, regardless of the distance away they are.

8: The rat running around in freeside, i ran past it once, and it spoke a couple of lines from one of the kids, who were nowhere nearby, as if i had passed by a kid instead of the rat.

I had found some minor bug:

1) I encountered some armored rad scropion (big blue ones), so i pull out my variment rifle (fully modded with scope, mag, and silencer) with 5.56mm armored piercing bullet. When i shoot it, it doesn't show armor crack icon, vats was 1 bar for each hit and hip shot around the same. It was south of the hidden valley for the missing laser rifle mini quest.

2) Sometimes i see npc stuck on each other for black jack dealers, Brother of Steel shooting at the range.

3) Common big issue was in Come Fly With Me quest where people's manual saved game crash after encounter Chris twice (believed to be the double space suit he was wearing). I crashed all my games after finishing the quest and a lot of other people.

4)Vault 3 (i did not go there yet) people claimed to be a problem for manual saved game crashing also.

5) (I forgot name) A person in the store of Nipton asks you to save some people from Legion camp (forgot name). While i was killing the Legion there, a prisoner run away (hands free without me releasing him), while he walks back to tied up place, i was able to release him. After that when i returned back after like 6 hour of game play. I found legion people there and one of them tie them self up and then release himself then walk around again. ( I saw ropes around his hand). It probably the spot on that ground is an auto-tie up anyone spot which occurs to the wrong person getting tied up.

6)Sometimes when you try to picklock a safe the animation for picking the lock doesnt apear (the screw, lock and pin are gone), but you can still hear the pin moving, screw, and be able to break pins. Only fix is to reupload game, trying to load previous game doesnt fix it.

7) Choppy animation when running side by side or behind a npc will give a very choppy animation of the npc

8) I don't know if this is a glitch, but when you try to take item from the "bad people" like the legionare it consider BAD karma (consider stealing from them)

9)some items like a souvenir rocket can't be picked up or shot(it just goes through) in the jobers town ( the town with super mutant and nightkins) , a building to the right with a lock door you need to pick

10) On Freeside when you kill the rat with the 2 kids chasing it, the girl will be sliding and eat at the same on the floor across the path

11) Orthos, the guy that The King ask you to check on, after you found out he was making fake shooting. The King's member will be shooting him, so i decided to shoot him for his fancy armor and gun. He ran pass the blue middle door gate (North/ East gate side), so i went there too. I use VATS on his head and hit him, but then for no reason to I decided not to kill him. When I return to that area, the place where i shot him, there was a blood animation spurring blood out non-stop.

I had similar behavior when I encountered the prisoners. They didn't appear to be tied at all, then I talked to one of them and when I looked back after wandering off to kill something he was tied up. This is similar to a bug from FO3's Broken Steel DLC. Another case of the devs ignoring bugs from the previous game...

Please add the Vault 11 Turret issue where they are tied to Lucky38 Faction thus ending the House Always Wins quest line permanently. A fix for those past this point would be great as well (i.e. console commands or what not, or at least changing House's script to recognize when the quest/faction is reset/cleared).

Weapon Reloading Bug (can't perform actions after weapon reload) .357 Mag, Cowboy Repeater, Trail Carbine, etc

Bug: When you prompt a reload on the aforementioned weapons, or the reload occurs automatically, make sure you are moving and standing. When the weapon has finished fully reloading you will be unable to take any actions for about 1-2 seconds.

Solution: Stop moving to reload, or discontinue use of such weapons.

Character in video is fresh off doc's table on a fresh install with 0 mods. I consoled in a .357 and 100 bullets.

Level 1
Strength: 4
Perception: 4
Endurance: 4
Charisma: 4
Intelligence: 10
Agility: 10
Luck: 7

Traits include Small Frame and Four-Eyes.

Note:
These weapons all have the unique characteristic of being able to be fired while reloading the weapon, perhaps this is part of the cause of this lockup?
After a brief amount of testing I have found that if you crouch while moving and reload this bug does not occur. (Added 10/28)


Just wanted to point out a quick update I made; Crouching while moving and reloading causes the lock up to not occur.

Bump since some fool forgot to sticky this...

Also, I ran into the super mutant at the bottom of Black Mountain after I'd finished his quest (without talking to him, though) and he ran up to me and talked to me as if we knew each other. May technically be lazy writing rather than a bug, but it should still be fixed.
