Dawnguard and Future DLC Discussion - Thread #24

Post » Thu May 03, 2012 11:46 pm

I'm sorry Apple pie, but that theory is just idiotic and ridiculous. It probably has nothing to do with the Falmer.

Q: what faction exists yet is basically untouched?
A: Vigilants of Stendarr. They have no quests or anything, so they're a prime suspect to be expanded upon in an expansion with content which should have been in in the firsg place.

Regardless of your feelings on the subject the latest patch did add some new animation files under a folder named DLC01 for the Snow Prince as well as Crossbows and new vampire feeding animations, odds are that the Falmer might have a role to play in this new DLC however just what that role may be is unknown at this time.

this weeks announcement was pointless... UNLESS its a big coincidence they decided to announce the DLC officially on the tenth year anniversary MORROWIND, i.e bloodmoon might be a clue you never know
bloodmoon=solstheim

Might be coincidence? As for those animations, show me. Or are they just files named something ambigious like 'prince'

Why does she hate undead?
she is the Daedric Prince of Life and Energy. Undead is the exact opposite

It needs to involve the Vigilant, because I desperately want to be able to noin them, but I have to be evil.

That would take too much effort, you could at least send me a "let me google that for you" link.

Laziness is man first enemy, you know...

apart from joke,in my opinion its pretty useless - and disrespectful for others - asking on a forum for a thing that you could easily find in few seconds googling the same words on the net by yourself  sorry if i have to say this, but i really don't understand a similar attitude.

What's the best speculation on "RF" so far? I've got Recruitable Falmer and Red Fox, it has to be some kind of follower.

It doesn't NEED to be, you simply want it to be.
I have no doubt we'll see a Vigilants of Stendarr DLC - they won't leave the Hall of the Vigilant unused, for example. Will Dawnguard be their DLC? Hard to say. The evidence suggests otherwise though.

lots of you are saying it WILL be this/that, but that is merely your opinions, not fact. i keep an open mind. i agree with these theories:
Snow Prince/falmer: the animation files indicate this two
Meridia: seems likely, the eyes look right. maybe we can become Meridia? like SI. idk.
we need to remember that Bethesda may have something we never thought of in store for us.

From the Requisite Book of Daedra : "...whose sphere is obscured to mortals; who is associated with the energies of living things."

No-one really knows what she is the Prince of, she is often described as 'obscure', maybe the life energy associations are just the supposition of mortals.

I've said it before but what I'd like most is a questline involving a search for the truth to what happened to Winterhold, with some possible time travel so we can see the city as it was

I think that alone could be a great DLC
What do you guys think?

And plus people keep saying the Falmer's eyes glow. Aside from the fact the Falmer are blind, I do not recall the eyes glowing at all.

IMHO, I think it has something to do with more lyncthropy like Werebears, Weresharks, Werecrocodiles, Weredeadroths, Werevultures. Werelions, and Wereboars.

YOU HEARD IT HERE FIRST! THE NEW DLC WILL HAVE WHERESHARKS!

but still if he is a vampier why are his eyes showing it... and only his eys i think he has taped in to some kind of power (Talos-god power?) or Alduin power (he has glowing eyes two! but more evil) http://thewhimsicalwanigan.files.wordpress.com/2011/12/alduin.png65

Ah, if only the writers read http://www.imperial-library.info/content/shor-son-shor, and decided a pow-wow with the old man was enough to make your eyes glow.

I wonder what kind of new land this DLC will add? A new island like Solstheim? Some land over the borders? Or the "Point Beacon" reference was misunderstood and it only meant that content wise it will be as big, not in relation to a new landmass being added.

there is a connection between falmers and winterhold...

...from the "Night of tears"?

"The true motives behind the Night of Tears have been obscured to us by the passage of time, but I believe this was not a simple war of territory, or of control of Skyrim. I believe that what happened was a significant event based around something very particular.
The Nords found something when they built their city, buried deep in the ground. They attempted to keep it buried, but the elves learned of it and coveted it for themselves. Thus they assaulted Saarthal, their goal not to drive the Nords out but to secure this power for themselves. I believe Ysgramor knew something of what the elves would find under Saarthal, and rallied together his people to keep the elves from gaining it. When Nords once again controlled Skyrim, this power was buried deep below the earth and sealed away"

Do you recognize anything?
The elves involved in that battle were falmer, by the way, and was that night that started the neverending war among men and mer.
it's a pretty epic moment and is related with falmer dlc rumors and also with two big quest lines (mages and companions, that are also too short in game, like if something else is hidden...)

there is also a book on the arch mage table, "imperial report on saarthal", that covers the same theme...what for?

I'm thinking at a story line with all these elements plus the psijic with that unstable eye of magnus.
if you want we can add also the synod...all little appearances in the game, all interesting and linked each other...
maybe a jump in the past (...there is a wound...) when falmer and their great prince with his marvellous spear were not corrupted...
the eye of magnus is too important, more or less like the heart of lorkhan, there must be something else about it!

hehe, lol. they DO think you're a daedra. they are attacking the "Daedra" in front of them. it's coded into their AI to attack the player if they wear full Daedric.

Are they coded to attack anyone who looks like deadra? i.e someone wandering around in full deadric?

They are already evil. A bunch of hypocritical zealots. The inquisition on Tamriel.
