See? The Argonians only seem strong when they hide in their terrain. On an even playing field they'd get crushed.
being in our homelnd may make us seemingly invincible to weaker races, but we could easily defeat you anywhere

yes, but the argonians were petty tribes waring with each other and had other argonians enslaving argonians (before we evolved, before we unified)

I have yet to see the greatness of these "evolved" argonians.

They seem to svck even more than they did in Oblivion.

that's why we dominated your race for hundreds of years, and you only got the upper hand when we were weak

Hm? The Dunmer seem fine, in terms of natural ability. I think they lost a bit of fire resistance. But didn't Argonians lose ALL their poison resistance? <_<

the dunemr being weak had noting at all to do with the invasion, from what i know it was because you killed a hist tree, if the empire backed you up we would have fought through them and anything else in the way untill we got vengance

Technically slavery was not illegal in Morrowind province. So the real question is, did you dominate Argonian slaves for hundreds of years because the Argonian nation was not capable of kicking your butt? Or because there was no actual crime being committed from the Imperial perspective, and that to attack Morrowind would be to declare war on the entire Empire.

Something to think about.

Hey, just found something that those in this thread might appreciate! This page gave me some unique insight into the Hist language:

http://www.rpgplanet.com/morrowind/ral-jiktar/naming_argonians.htm

I created and re-created my Argonian Assassin, Sheds-Its-Tail, in every Elderscrolls game since Morrowind.
I've even written short fiction about him. I was super psyched to see just how much more was learned about Argonians, Argonian culture, and the Hist in the pair of Elder Scrolls novels.
Anyone who loves Argonians and hasn't read, "The Infernal City" and "Lord of Souls" should, by all means, do so as soon as possible.

It actually is, especially considering that the Argonians didn't make a move against Morrowind until after the Empire collapsed.
I'm not sure in which order the two things occured, the end of the Septim line and the Red Year, but the combination of the two presented an opportunity which I think was far too difficult to resist.
lets also not forget that the Argonian push against Morrowind was. . .
Spoiler
Orchestrated and led by an Argonian faction devoted to what would eventually become a rogue hist. They may not have been in their right minds since it seems when the Hist get fired up, the Argonians in the immediate vicinity pretty much do whatever they're told.

Why would you attack an empire at full strength? Don't blame the argonians for making a sound tactical decision with their invasion.

We are not the agressors here, we wanted to liberate our people from houses Telvanni and Dreth(I think)

The Dark Elves are just jealous because they can't war for their lifes.
Ever since their great Nerevar left them, they've only been going downhill.

And when he came back, through Nerevarine, things were finally starting to look up.

AS SOON as Nerevarine left Morrowind for Akavir it literally exploded, I wonder why?
Not even Vivec, who despite not being a god anymore still had great knowledge, wasn't able to properly lead his people and fell to the Daedric invasion, which in turn led to a chain of events that ensured the destruction of Vivec city and Vvanderfell,as explained in the books.

A question, marsh-brothers. Are there any light helmets, aside from the Leather helmet, which offer any protection for the nose? Most armorers simply do not design to accommodate our longer face, and it's it's kind of silly to protect the top and side of the head when half the front is left sticking out.
