I'm studying business, economics, accounting, and psychology. And form what I can tell you, these people (Bethesda) do not know crap about running a company or providing decent service for its customers. It is all about making money (That's how the world goes 'round), but to make that money you need to get people to buy your product and provide services to keep your customers. Now this is common sense, and obviously, Bethesda doesn't have it. This is to the Bethesda Staff, keep this up and I can guarantee your company will fall sooner or later. You are fools Bethesda, so much potential and you piss it all away.
For someone who is supposedly studying business you don't seem to know all that much about it. Bethesda know enough about running a company, it's pretty damn successful, any fool with knowledge on the subject of gaming companies could tell you that much.
'to make that money you need to get people to buy your product and provide services to keep your customers.'
Which is what they are doing. What does that even mean? All they have done is accepted a vast quantity of money for keeping their content exclusive to an agreed upon platform for a set amount of time. That's given them easy money, money which has to replace that which was lost over the very long production time this game had, in the short term, all it's done is P-off an insignificant amount of entitled gamers on their official forums. The fact is most gamers won't care about this, just as they didn't for Fallout 3 or Fallout New Vegas - and those DLC's sold like you wouldn't believe. Most gamers on consoles don't care because they are for the most part casual gamers, and most people on PC won't care because of the Mod tools given to the PC community. Most people on these forums will buy Dawnguard at some point, that's a given. Both Fallout 3 and Fallout New Vegas DLC sold well even though Bethesda used the same marketing strategy they are using here.
