For those of you who are patient and just kind of mentally shrugging about not hearing anything yet: then you really don't need to keep coming into this thread to try and "calm the waters". Sure, you are as welcome as anyone to state your point of view - lord knows I've done it a couple times in the 19 thread sequence. But no need to try and rebut those posters who aren't really interested in doing anything but venting their frustration. It's not an "argument" anyone is going to "win". From experience with other hot button forums and issues here in the past, people that are irritated won't be less irritated because you aren't worked up over waiting on DLC info.
Just wanted to make this one statement, then I'm gone.

Someone has to stand up and fight for the things you get sit back and wait for, otherwise nothing would be done. Ever.
I dunno if you've noticed but I'm regularly in the Skyrim forums to say the game svcks and Bethesda needs to aim for more FO3/FO:NV quality for FO4 or TES6, so much so that a lot of people call me very mean names that make me sadface. :C You're kinda preaching to the choir here with the speech about voicing criticism to bring about change.

Thing is though, communication has been an issue for
ages. Hell, I still feel sorry for Jason Bergman over at the FO:NV forums, who in my opinion, handled communication
CORRECTLY and still got criticized for it. Bergman was very vocal and spoke with the fans all the time, feeding us as much info as possible and trying to give us estimates on release dates. Thing is though, since he was trying so hard to give up-to-date info, the release dates got changed, and sure enough once they got changed and a DLC was delayed, people were mad as hell at him for giving them a date that wasn't accurate and wasn't set in stone.
The thing about this complaint is that it's too-little, too-late. This has been an issue for a long time, and the Jason Bergman issue basically showed me that people would still complain if they had info and more importantly, even if Bethesda WERE to listen to you now, they'd one day feed you a false release date, correct it, and then another group of disgruntled fans would rant and complain and encourage them to go back to doing it like how they're doing it now. (which is exactly what happened with Bergman) Finally, go watch Todd's E3 Dawnguard interview. Wait for his answer about when Dawnguard will be released for PC and PS3. Does that sound like a man that honestly gives a damn? Sure as hell doesn't sound like it to me.
Sometimes a lost cause is just a lost cause, yknow? Hell, my constant complaints that Bethesda needs to hire a damned writer may be a lost cause too. The difference? I go around telling people to try a game with, imo, better writing, in attempt to encourage more fans to have higher expectations so they too are voicing criticism, to the point where a good storyline HOPEFULLY becomes demanded enough that Bethesda listens. What you guys are doing here, Bergman already basically heard your argument out and he still ran into trouble and this is such a short-term issue that it's not gonna grasp Bethesda's attention to the point of hearing you out.
Finally, and most importantly:Let's be honest. The moment the DLC is released, you all are gonna go buy it ASAP, anxiously throwing money at the screen to get the new content. The fact that you all invest so much time into waiting for new info basically guarentees it. Despite all this "disrespect" you claim you've been dealt with, you're all gonna go buy it. In that sense, I don't think you're
TRULY willing to commit to the cause but rather you're presenting a half-hearted effort where you do one thing and say another, and thus Bethesda will NEVER consider the complaints in this thread as they don't effect sales. Simple as that really.
Having said that, you might as well forget the DLC exists. Why?
1) You'll get your mind off it and stop torturing yourself.
2) You might
actually forget it and never purchase it, thus actually producing results that encourage Bethesda not to pull this [censored] again.
3) This cause is hopeless.
I mean what could it hurt? I say all this because I truly believe you guys are just kinda torturing yourselves by pushing it this far. Forgetting the DLC seems beneficial to your cause
AND easier on you.
Just my two cents.
