because bound spells are a very simple spell to use anyway. the reason it might not be in the other games is because there is no quiver item in the games(it is part of the bow) and it would make regular arrows pointless.

all i want is a backstory for you balance. official one.
probably not going to happen, and you will probably never be happy.
Why doesn't the armor degrade unless you die? If you want solid explanations for every one of the game mechanics, you aren't going to be happy. This really doesn't sound like a game for you.
You would probably enjoy having your armor degrade when it takes damage, but not many players want to end up in their underwear in a fight. I can't see too many warriors using their inventory slots carrying armor repair hammers [that break eventually so they need to buy more] and repairing their gear on the fly, either. "Just hold them off for a couple of minutes people; I have to get the hammer out and fix my armor. That spider daedra isn't that ferocious."
Some players want to be archers.
The first skill that I end up maxing out in Morrowind is marksman. In Oblivion, marksman. In Skyrim, I usually end up with archery as Legendary because I use it all the time and level it up constantly. Its the easiest thing for me to level, actually. I sneak and snipe through every dungeon. And can't really see my playing style changing that much in ESO. I do use one handed sword and board, or dual sword and dagger if I have to, but I use archery first. Its nice to see a sabercat, go into sneak, and have it drop at the second hit from extreme range. I carry a lot of arrows because I can always drop loot and come back later if I need to, or drop the arrows and keep the loot, heading back to town to either make more or buy more; not always an option in a mmo.
why? i mean why do you need a backstory for this? why not one of the hundred other things in game?
yes it all falls into this balance thing....but i'd prefer explanations for these things. somehow we cannot levitate, we cannot swim underwater, and then we have unlimited arrows. and i think there's even more to come up. if they can explain it by adding few stories in the game that make sense lorewise i don't mind.
You also cannot levitate, jump, or enchant items for usable abilties in either Oblivion and Skyrim yet there was no explanation for that. Also the imperial changed from roman looking armor to Medieval ( and their personalities/names with it) and yet there was no explanation for that either.
well you have not been able to levitate for awhile. that was thrown out long ago, not sure about underwater though. i think its best to not worry about little things like this and just enjoy the game. if you cant get past them then i vote you never play any mmo as balance will always be more important than lore. i hate to use the old saying but, maybe this game is not for you
well, well, well, what other strange things are there with no explanation?
thats the thing, there does not need to be one. its a game
A lot of things in this game, such as unlimited arrows.
this is the first mmo that i have ever looked forwards. i don't want it to be failior. i enjoyed singleplayer games of this series so i should be able to enjoy mmo version as well. and i think elder scrolls is the best game series ever made. i just fear that more of these dumbing downs for casuals will ruin the game.
Its always an option in every single MMO ever made.(and every other game in history) Why do you lie about it? Can you name any other (successful) MMO that uses unlimited ammo for archery?
You cant because every other MMO knows its unrealistic to have unlimited ammo.
Frankly I am appalled that people are sooo lazy that they asking for unlimited ammo. Its pathetic imo. This poll will prove nothing else other than how many people are lazy.
Because archers should have the same concerns as warriors and mages...
Here is a thought. Complimentary ammo. You can have infinite arrows, but they are less effective and/or different than the limited variety.
Some warriors have shields that provide additional protection, some have two weapons for better dps and some have two handed ones that provide a medium compromise between the two others. They can choose multiple weapons with which to attack their enemies and these weapons have different effects. Maces ignore some armor for example.
There is choice in execution and variety.
Some Mages have different methods of approaching a situation. Summon a pet or blast the enemy with lightning. Paralyze them or inhibit their functionality. They have a variety of different staves that do different things to choose from.
There is choice in execution and variety.
What do Archers have? A bow and some bland infinite quivers. There are no throwing weapons, there are no crossbows as far as I know, there is nothing to differentiate a bow from another bow except some stats from what I can tell. Why not fill the slot with arrows that can add more functionality? Archers have fewer customization options and fewer attack options because of this imo. Adding ammo, even if it is infinite but different, is the way they need to go. There shouldn't be just one type of quiver that all Archers use. That quiver is probably not going to match the rest of the outfit they have going which diminishes someone's ability to stand out. By all means, make arrows unlimited for gameplay purposes, but at least make them have differences in appearance and function.
Quite a few things (way more than can be said) were changed from daggerfall to Morrowind. Talos was not a god in DAggerfall, The Daedric princes all had different personalities. and 6-7 different game ending that are completely impossible to have together all happened at the same time (And within 4 days). Their only explanation for that last one? the hero in daggerfall BROKE TIME and SPACE and that was it , basically "a wizard did it".
WOW for one thing......
Also, just about all of them besides a very small selection.
Also, most dungeons in MMO's reset or the item is destroyed when you Drop it in most MMO's anyway.
Can you define successful, please? I think then we may be able to better answer your question.
And can you not assume they she cannot? It might be better to wait for her reply before jumping to a conclusion.
we talked about this in one of the old threads about this. if you add arrows you are requiring people to use them. sure you could have basic unlimited arrows but by adding "optional" arrows you are requiring them for pvp and raid content. pretty much as an archer you will be forced to use them in any group environment. the game would be balanced assuming everyone would always use the best arrow leaving everyone not using the best gimped
so becouse you are lazy, others must be punished?
no, it just makes those consumable arrows mandatory, thus making it basically ANOTHER RESOURCE.
now you are just flame baiting here. i said nothing about being lazy at all. i would always use the best, 100% of the time making it nothing more than a tax.
side note: i noticed you said you were done with this topic but then you started the new thread? what happened? bored at work or something?
now if we have unlimited arrows and additional arrows on top of that how is it different from mana and manapotions?
not flame baiting, is there another words to say this?
yeah i got bored and i wanted to make this poll since there wasn't one in previous.
because Mana potions are something EVERYONE uses AND you do not "Require" mana potions to recharge you mana and do the same damage.
you keep saying mana and mana potions while not considering that arrows use stamina. why is this?
