PS3 Release for Dawnguard - Thread #9

Post » Sun Nov 18, 2012 1:47 am

Why would I want a patch, why would you want a patch? "Hey I can't wait to download something that will ruin my game while it's supposed to fix it!". Let's keep waiting for that wonderfull DLC that's still not good enough to be released while we give you absolutely no information what so ever. I hope you all will pay the full price when we release it after a month of two, maybe three tops. Lastly, we didn't had enough time so there is a slight possibility you will encouter some minor glitches and bugs...enjoy!!!

ok your going over the top dude.

1. not everyone's game is ruined by a patch. Are there issues? Yes but not for everyone so chill out.
2.why would i want the patch? so when they do release dawnguard i dont have to download the patch and then dawnguard and wait twice as long i can let it download while i go empty the dishwasher and then pop another game in when its done.
3.no matter how long they take on it there will be bugs, so calm down, your going to have a heart attack.

And what about for North America?

We've had it for a while. Just sounds like it's buggy, temperamental, and overall not worth getting if you have a better version (like 1.4).

I dont really think Dawnguard is coming at all....

Look, they are still working to improve performance (i hope), can you imagine releasing more content right now?

Hey, at least Bethesda takes the time and effort to at least inform us of whats happening, unlike most other gaming companies.

Thanks Bethesda!!

What have they informed us about, really?

Practically nothing.

Exactly.

I've said it here i believe and elsewhere for sure, that the videogame industry really cracks me up. Outside of Hollywood BS, what other industry(and i say industry because its indusrty-wide. Not specific to Bethesda, though they are going for the gold lately) actually inspires this and even more crazy examples of the Stockholm syndrome in practice? None in my opinion.

Just because customer courtesy is well down on the list by some software makers, does not make it right. And it is definitely not an adequate excuse for this "snarky ostrich" approach Bethesda seems to have adopted in their current dilemma.

They have done next to nothing. Unless you include knowingly selling a broken product, while expending great energy on a misinformation campaign to the contrary. Followed up with some ineffective patches and stonewalling public relations for four months. Then releasing a minor fix, which reduces performance in other areas of the product. Then adding another game breaking bug - which they never bothered to fix. Followed up with telling the customer they would get a new fix and then going stone silent for three months.

I don't really remember any company ever treating so many customers so poorly.

Man I cant believe this is still going on. I actually kind of forgot about it... I can honestly say I dont care about Dawnguard anymore. Im up to level 45 now with the character I started for Dawnguard so if DG doesnt come out soon I probally wont get it. Not cuz im mad, I just dont care anymore. Weird how that works. At first I was mad. Then after the announcement that it would be release sometime I was excited again, but now...Meh... I was into Skyrim for a few months when it came out then I took a long break and pretty much lost intrest in it but then when it looked lik DG was around the corner I got excited and started a new character for it, but if I finish this playthrough, I cant see myself picking up Skyrim again..

You have to really wonder what Bethesda is doing with their time. I find it hard to believe that this DLC is giving them such a hard time. It's not like it's the first dlc they have put out.

Yeah sure... and I'm already playing DG because I hacked Microsoft's servers, downloaded a special hybrid version of Dawnguard, hacked Sony's servers and uploaded the file there. Go check it on your PSN store main page! It is there!

They've done more then most companies.
Keeping your customers in absolute silence and selling them a buggy beta-stage product? You're doing it wrong!

Also, how in the world Bethesda got the "company of the year" award in 2011? They must have bribed the judges and paid the award with Microsoft's money! Or the world didn't know it's true intentions back then...
