Speaking of escort missions, anytime you have to lead an NPC somewhere in Morrowind.... they move so slow. :brokencomputer:

Not just Morrowind: I particularly liked the very slow stroll to the ayleid ruin near Leyawiin with Modryn Oreyn, that was very relaxing. Especially the way that if you attempted to race ahead he'd stop and wait until you came back. Sigh... them wuz the days.

And if you try to walk over a hill they sometimes start running off in a random direction...

Or Wow...You would attack a mob ahead of them to clear the way, they would run up, help kill the creatures and then run back to where they were walking at.

Oh god, don't remind me. Apparently those quests were so awesome that Bethesda made you do two of them during the Ashlander part of the main quest.

The Fallout 2 tutorial always bugged me in that there's no way to avoid it, the begining of many ways in which Interplay's direct interference would [censored] things up.

The guy who finally made it out, went to the first town, then almost got killed by geckos. "Best avoid that way" I thoought. Only to find a Mr gusty the other way...I havent piced the game up since.

Hm.... I enjoy almost all games, but I can think of a few.

The intro to FO:NV really turns me away from playing it. It bores me to death.

The Flood.
I've seen this answer a few times on this thread and I'm pretty confused. I really enjoyed fighting the flood, it added a zombie survival aspect to Halo.

I think missions that feature game breaking bugs or glitches can ruin a game for me. Like KoTOR 2, I'm stuck because a mod I'm using is causing a certain mission to repeat itself whenever I reach a certain point, meaning I can't progress. I have a potential solution lined up but its such a pain in the ass I've taken a break from the game for a bit.

Oh god the fade, I don't know whether its as bad as the Dead Trenches but it was pretty tedious.

I actually liked the Dead Trenches and I would liked the Fade more if it didn't have that blur and the music gets pretty annoying.

Depends for me. Last mission with flood is fun (just not on legendary), cortana has issues, I find it to be confusing to navigate, filled with tough flood, and they just keep coming. Flood can be annoying as hell (shotgun flood especially) but the needle ones tke the piss. I think the level design may have something to do with it. If it wasnt for Cortana I would hate them less.

They can be fun, they just usually arent, maybe its the fact unlike say elites, they dont hang back and shoot, instead they are more agressive.

I envy PC players becuase there is a skip fade mod. And one that changes peoples teeth from brown to white.

I guess I'll have to agree with the cortana level in Halo 3. Definitely the worst level in the halo franchise except maybe the library level in Halo CE. Can't really think of any other ones.

"Boss battles" in settings where they make no sense whatsoever.

On that note, dear Alpha Protocol guys: If I hit an unarmoured civilian straight in the head with my high-powered assault rifle, the expected result is "target dead, brain chunks everywhere", not "mark off some 5% of his HP".

It takes nto long, and is boring. Its like the deep roads.

My two favorite areas, and those are the reasons i actually replay it occasionally :hehe: The forest though, boring :snoring:

I also love Mako, though the Hammerhead is more fun

I loved Alpha protocol. But yes bosses were horrible. Especially Brayko after he takes coke and comes at you with a knife. (music made it worth while though).

After tha, every character now invests in pistols for chain shot. Now the only boss I hate in the game is the attack chopper. It takes 5 rockets you find scattered around the place, the rockets do high damage, and its way to dmn accurate. Add guys shooting at you, and its just an annoying boss.

Darcy was pretty bad too. Having to hack a door, while enemies keep spawning and stopping your hacking.

The forestwas dull, but it didnt feel as bad as the fade and the deep roads. I liked the Ashes and the Awakening dungeons more. Except the one in awakening where you go through the entire dwarven city, fighting the children. Allthough thats a late dungeon iirc.

... I feel like playing DAO again, but need to restart characters, because I left them too long.

Also I loved the Mako, only issue I saw was the barren planets, but I still enjoyed it. The hammerhead was bad though, didnt really care about it, and it was very weak.

I enjoyed the forest! I only wish there'd been more of it.

Close run thing between the Mako and Hammerhead: the latter had more potential but was more fiddly, whereas the Mako was better for more straightforward hooliganism. :hehe:

Oh Maker, I thought I was the only one with those thoughts. Those were my favorite areas too! The Fade has a neat Metroidvania feel to it that adds a nice change of pace to the rest of the game's stock dungeon-crawling. And the Deep Roads not only have some of the more varied encounters and boss fights in the game (Spider Queen, the bridge, Broodmother, the nameless puzzle "boss," and the big Golem beatdown at the end), but it's also one of the few areas that seems designed to feel like a real place.

And I hate most of the forest section! It starts with a generic forest setting filled with generic animal enemies that aren't all that interesting to fight, then moves on to a generic ruin with equally boring undead enemies and an unimaginative layout. Both the potential final bosses of that section are anticlimatic, and even the big choice at the end wasn't anything great.

Spoiler
Sure the situation is grey both sides, but the game gives you an easy solution where everyone wins without needing to take any extra effort on your part. Yawn.

It's the section that deserves the most hate as far as I'm concerned.
