Thats just biased and stupid, so your saying were on "Bethesda's payroll" just becuase we love this DLC and are content with it? You think it's wrong to like this DLC? Its called OPINION.

Don't take things so literally.

"It's called OPINION" says the guy who only likes opinions that are completely uncritical of Bethesda.

I have deleted some posts - accusing people of being on Bethesda's payroll is not acceptable and could end up with warnings. The only Bethesda members on these forums are those who have their status marked under their avatars and in their profile.

Do you know how much I hate Morrowind? Do you how much I dislike Skyrim's base quests compared to Oblivion? you known why I don't complain, because I find Skyrim amazing overall and I know complaining to Devs do little, since it's there game, who spent 5 years of there life making it, If you don't like it, DON'T play it .

Did I ever say I didn't like it? No.

If you don't tell them their mistakes and you passively buy everything they release, they will never fix them and never improve.

They have improved that's preciously my point, that were my loyalty of Bethesda comes from, they have patched the game in 7 months more then the patched Oblivion in its life time, they have added new featurtes for free, which other companies would charge there customers, and Dawnguard added a good deal of user requested features, Bethesda ALWAYS try to correct there mistakes.

Guys, let's let this argument go too far. We're going on a tangent here.

For all their flaws... most other games svck. That's where my loyalty to Bethesda comes from. And they have improved when it comes to world building and design, but everything else went downhill (see the factions). They should have waited to release Dawnguard so they could fix the bugs and fully complete their vision/the story (leaving the funnel in that aside).

I'm going to hope they patch the DLC, because idk about anyone else, but I shouldn't have to transform and detransform in order to save without breaking it.

To me the backstory is superb and amazing, but the plot points, characters, and dialogue are mediocre. Morrowind had my favourite story, because it was simple on the surface but shrouded in philosophy religion history symbolism intrigue and all that stuff. I met someone who wrote referenced Morrowind in his discertation (I think it was on how religion influences culture). I just feel like bethesda has all this rich lore but it's not being used to its full potential....just my opinion, I know half of you guys are gonna disagree haha.

complaining to Devs do little

Just want to point out thats not entirely true. It all depends how you put the complaint - make a valid point *constructively* and politely, maybe even offer a solution, and its given a lot more attention than you'd think.

Case in point, during Black Ops run last year, a clan-mate of mine waged a polite campaign to get more hardcoe mode gametypes added. To his surprise he had Vahn himself from Treyarch contact him, and set up a night where they could playtest some new hardcoe gametypes so they could be added in game.

I dont mind constructive criticisms of this game at all, so long as they are just that. Sometimes, if my opinion on it differs, I'll stick my oar in, but if someone would like something in game to be done differently they do indeed have the right to put it forward. So long as its constructive it will be taken into account, assuming it hasn't already been put on the agenda, whether or not you personally hear from the devs. I think the writing is going to receive a lot of attention, as that seems to be what people are jumping on a lot. And I think spellcrafting will come back. :)

I agree that the dialogue is decent at best, but yes the back story is excellent, I also love Bethesda style of implication, like there's a camp with a bedroll with roses scattered on it, and wine besides the table, with two naked corpses beside each other, also another good example is there a skeleton with a giant rock pinning its leg, its hand reaching for a bottle of mead.

I have to agree. Ever since I was a middle-schooler and started playing this series I loved reading all the notes and seeing all the little clues as to what was going on. I like how they dont seem like they're there to tell you a story. It feels like they're SUPPOSED to be there, that this is a real world where things are going on without your involvement. Things you may never have or need a part in and things you will never fully understand. It's almost a humbling experience in that way.

Yeah, and it's one thing they've maintained throughout the series. Still, I wish this spirit extended into other aspects of the game to make the game seem more alive.

I never give much credence to reviews, be they good or bad. They are, after all, merely opinions, and I am very capable of forming my own.

It does seem like the Kotaku reviewer was expecting far too much, though. Anyone paying attention wouldn't have been. That's understandable for a casual gamer, but unforgivable in a 'professional' games journalist.

Not looking good :\

Um 75 is good, how is it not looking good? It shouldn't look good if its under 50

and I wouldn't listen to any of the user reviews, especially since one recommends getting minecraft on the 360 and the reasons the users gave it bad reviews sounds pretty stupid if you ask me..

If you are into Twilight, vampires and stuff like that, then you will love this expansion.

I now officially don't give a hoot about ANY review about Dawnguard, if people are going to post stupid crap like this then I don't even want to hear what these people have to say. I don't care that it was a positive review either. If you are into Twilight, what makes you think you'd be into Dawnguard? Dawnguard puts Twilight to shame.
