Apply to be in the Dawnguard 360 Beta - Thread #4 [merged si

Post » Fri Jun 15, 2012 11:08 am

Look at it from Bethesda/Zenimax's perspective.

Who do you want testing your product:

-Someone who is completely honest in their application, follows the rules by only applying once, and has a good history of usage on these boards

-Someone who posts topic on those very boards about how to cheat their way into the beta
-Someone who has entered their application 20 times, each identical, from the same IP address

Submitting renews your current application, but I am hesitant to edit it again, been twice now to make sure I had the right information. But yes, truthfully would be the better choice.

Hey guys, I'm new here, having a long heritage at the UESP, and I signed up because I was worried that perhaps my application wouldn't count if I didn't have a forums account, even though they accepted me without one. Does anyone know anything about this?

ah well i already submitted a truthful application and was going to change it...thanks for the advice, wasnt really familiar with the system, thought beth would just have a bot that picked out the applicants who said they played for 40 hours a week and had 3 level 90 characters.

You should put the truth so that bethesda has the best testing group and we get the best product possible, if your not honest about your answers how can they believe you'll be honest about problems and balancing in the dlc

I actually have a lot of characters with different play styles for each, but because you can only choose 3 I put my most recent. Everything I wrote in it was accurate (I rounded the play times to the closest half hour though)

They'll probably see the low levels and skip me, but it was worth a shot.

well, just simply put the truth. bethesda doesnt want someone to test Dawnguard for them that says they play over 20 hours a week but in reality plays it for 4-5, because since its a beta, im expecting alot of bugs and glitches, bethesda isnt saying "we'll pick some of you to play our DLC for free and you tell us if its good or not"
, its probably more of a "We need players who we know will play skyrim frequently and try to do EVERYTHING that this DLC has to offer, so that we can fix whatever is wrong with the content so that see how to do better as game developers." but thats just my input, they could have a different perspective. hope this helped

lets be honest alot of people are going to bend the truth to get the beta, so we may as well join in if were going to have any chance of getting the beta.

I answered as truthfully as I could, doesn't really matter to me if I'm picked or not ( would be really cool if I was ). 2 out of the 3 toon's I applied with are Lv.81.5 with over 130 hours in, plus a Lv.30 with about 20 hours in. So I say " tell the truth " no point in telling a lie, if your picked your picked, if not, ah well

No. It's through Email.

Can we expect e-mails to roll out mid-week? Any word ? I know it's only Monday but I don't want to have to camp out on the lap top

So, do you NEED to have a forums account to be accepted? Because I put in my application before I signed up.

when do the winners get announced ? or at least when are we supposed to check our emails ?
I hate stuff like this. In a few days people will come on this thread or another and be like 'Yay got my beta key'. I will check my emails and will be like this. :sadvaultboy:

Does anybody know when Bethesda is going to be announcing the winners of the beta keys? I'd imagine it would be some time during the week since it's E3.
