I'd like to register a serious. 'This is broke - fix it'

1. To my astonishment, it's giving me a headache.
2. Like most people these days, I don't run at 800x600 - want to be able to use all my screen real estate.
3. That search bar must go!
4. Not having themes is pretty poor for such a major forum.
5. Atrocious performance.

Can I suggest an emergency rollback followed by a rethink?

Exactly, I think I remember Beth themselves saying don't fix what isn't broken. Oh and the search bar is driving my IINSANE. Stop following stupid search.

I felt the same way, the layout they had was perfect in every sense of the word, excluding the search tool and the post cooldown.

Layout is important to me, this was the only forum I visited on a regular basis because besides the community the layout was great and it worked. This new layout make this forum more like other forums, and that's not a good thing. There's a reason I don't frequent many other forums, and it's because they look terrible.

Now I'm off untill my eyes and head stop hurting.

What in the hell is up with all the formatting icons on the full reply window? They all fade in the upper left corner of the icon. Gah! Its almost as if the grey is invading...taking over!

Why is the search bar stalking me? :sad:

Seem to take ages to be able to make a reply, I keep getting an error message. The layout is....new....but seem lacking in the flexibility it used to have. For instance I can no longer minimize all the sections that I don't want to see such as every one except the Oblivion section.

Seems really cluttered.....I guess we will get used to it. I hope there are other colour scheme and skin options, this one is literally giving me a headache.

The design looks nice, yeah, and it works on Firefox at least.

But, if someone attach an image, it completely ruins the layout.

OK for starters, is there like some setting that I can change which will enable me to choose what percentage of my screen width will be used by the forum? Because http://img25.imageshack.us/img25/4795/afteri.png (although it's centred) and I liked it more http://img411.imageshack.us/img411/6309/beforeo.png.

It's the same for me and really needs to be changed.
Saying that though reminded me that the last time I saw a site reduce the width in this way it was because they wanted to put loads of luvverly adverts down each side for you to look at while browsing the forums. I really, really hope that is not the intention here.

It takes forever to load a page / reply / etc. The non-widescreen svcks. The "Web 2.0" rounding of everything svcks. The floating search bar is annoying as hell.

Overall, the entire layout svcks.

I REALLY hope gamesas did this as a cost-cutting measure, because if they paid for this pile of jaloppy, they made a horrible decision.

This is InvisionBoard. They updated to a new level (3.0 actually). They could have made it worse. They left out the blogs and whatnot.

Ok, please tell me there is a way to see how many total posts I have? Now I have no idea where I am in regards to gaining a rank, all I know is I'm still a master with an unnecessary amount of stars.

There are also a handful of missing smileys.

I hope I wake up tomorrow and come to find that this isn't real -_-

I like the fact that I can now look up my previous topics and posts without worrying about flood control. Everything else will need some getting used to but overall I don't think I will have a problem with this setup.

Wait.... like all the useful links in all of the mod sections? Eh godz..... I can't imagine the trouble this is going to cause for all the mod forums.....

I checked the links in my mod's topic and they seem to be fine, as does the links in the http://www.gamesas.com/index.php?/topic/1071296-pictures-of-fallout-characters-%2327/ topic. :shrug:

It's not just a search bar. It's a link to your profile, messenger, friends, and the link to log out. Saves the time of having to scroll all the way up to the top of the page. Which would take even longer with this new layout.

The annoyance factor of having it follow me is way more annoying than saving me 0.5 of a second to flick my scroll wheel to the top. Not only that but because I have to have the page zoomed in a ton, CTRL + scrolling in, I cannot see half the buttons in that top template bit. I also have to scroll left and right to be able to see half of whats written.

Wow my eyes start to strain after awhile.
Plus what happened to multi quote?
It feels to high tech and flashy.
I liked the simplicity of the old one.
I hate not seeing avatar's in profiles.
I hate not seeing the locations.How I am I supposed to know when and what to stereotype?
Lags a bunch and I get constant error messages.
I have to click on things 5-10 times to make them work.

I actually do like the search/stat bar being how it is,it's very nice I think.

So,seriously..is this just testing,or is the black background/white text a done deal?

Well... not too conventional, skin-wise, but it's different. Nice, even. Some colors are too dark, though.

Irony is, prior to change I've fancied WET skin and the beige-red edges combo; the WET skin now also looks kickass.

It's the spacing that worries me, though I did agree about the search bar being convenient.

Yeah, what is up with all the stars now? Rather unnecessary if you ask me. The number before was just fine. As for the ranks... It does say a lot of my posts have disappeared. I don't see a place to view total posts though.

It also needs to automatically make links open in a new tab/window. I really hate clicking a link on a site and then having to hit the back button 1800 times to get back to where I was in the first place.
