I am annoyingly sober, and have been for some serious amount of time, so :
More alcohol.
More on sleeping tree sap.
The return of lava whiskey, and the last bottle of 399.
Different blurry screens for sap, skooma, moonsugar and alcohol.
More meaderies, distillers and moonshiners.
Something like the Point Lookout bizarro-trip sequence, but with moonsugar and Khajiit ( in space, of course).
Brew it yourself recipes for the campfire, and a chance to upgrade player housing with stills.
Cyrodiilic brandy, in alchemy shops, but even more expensive, luxury import now an' all.
Oh, yeah, and some quests and items and whatever.

It would be kind of neat if skooma gave you hallucinations or something, and if you actually became addicted to it.

I wish that instead of going to the main cities for everything, you could interact with the Bandits/Forswarn. In this way, the player's roles could be completely reversed. Instead of being attacked by Bandits on sight, the player would be targeted by town guards on sight.

On topic: The jump height change would be very difficult to implement in that players could get stuck very easily. Soon after its implementation, I'm sure multiple threads of the broken jumping would pop up. While cool, it would be difficult to execute without modifying alot of things.

I would love to see the Spell Making Alter! Any modifications to the Destuction magic tree would be greatly appreciated.

@Orihalco i like your idea. They could make a real faction system like they started to do in Fallout New Vegas. It would be great if you could join any faction fully. Also it would be nice if NPCs would recognize faction armor. I walk around in Forsworn armor in Markarth and nobody notices.

With all the stuff they're releasing for free, coupled with the amount of time they are taking with this thing, i'm starting to wonder just how epic this is actually going to be? I'm excited to see what sort of features they will be adding into it, that were deemed "too good" to put out in an update.

I'd like to be able to climb. If I played on ps3 or xbox I'd probably get stuck all the time. Between rocks, behind a bit of rubble in Dwemer ruins... It's kind of funny how my horse seems to completely defy gravity, while my character can barely lift her feet to feet off the ground. It would be even more awesome if this ability was affected by our choice of armour and how much we are carrying overall. As in, if you reach a certain weight limit, you can't pull yourself up anymore.

I too like the Forsworn idea btw. It would be amazing to play the game from their point of view. It's very unlikely that they'd go as far as to make guards attack us on sight for being Forsworn, but they could do something similar to the civil war quest line.

like in morrowind i liked it how you could wear armour and also wear a robe over the top of it lol.

Yes, this, I want to be able to wear a shirt under my armour, and why can I only wear a ring on one hand? is there something wrong with the fingers on my other hand? that's just [censored] stupid.

And if you want to put the 30 day wait into an even more positive note, just consider 360 users (like myself) as the BETA testers for the DLC. That way they'll have any necessary fixes on the way by the time it hits the other platforms. :wink:

And they'll also have the time to craft an HD texture pack for the new content added with Danwguard :D

I like the idea of an Agility Skill Tree, thumbs up to that idea.
I also like the idea of being able to attack while jumping/falling. Kind of miss being able to do that...

I would like to see more Armor, Weapons and Clothing. Like the Dragon Priests outfit it pretty badass IMO.
Also, it might be a stretch but I would like to customize the stuff I make; like color, or at least have a few more types of armors.

From what I posted in a similar topic last month:

DLC or even updates I would like to see eventually (I would be happy with one) would be along the lines of:

Minor character post-creation customization (war paint, hair style/color, facial hair style/color)
Ability to add tattoos to arms, chest, and back
Thrown weapons, pole-arms, crossbows
Mounted combat from horseback (Player and NPC)
Perks for actions (like bonus damage for killing certain creatures or making better legendary armor and weapons)
House customization/Build a house or business (Buying land as well)
Making a family (Kids, pets, etc.)
Selecting your companions gear (Update)
Farming, not just having a garden or plants re-spawn every few days
Ship ownership (Explorer, Merchant, Pirate)
Customize a "Coat of Arms", Flags or Tabard for your character, houses, businesses, horses, companions
Customization of Armor and Weapons, mods to make them better (Not just improving them in a grind stone or work bench)
Select targeting for attacks (body, limbs, head for extra damage)
Ability to choose a "Profession", not just be an "adventurer" (Like join the city guard, be a miner, lumber jack or cook... etc)
Start a town and become Jarl
Bring back the Arena or something similar but make it longer and tougher than the one in Oblivion

My list goes on and on of what I would like to see but this last one is really going out on a limb but if it can be done, I would like to see a minor MMO feature where you can join a friends world or have them join yours, maybe up to 4 friends at once? Not saying a full open world where anyone can jump in or stuff like that, invite only with friendly dual options/brawl... Just saying it might be cool.

So with Mounted Combat IN Skyrim now, what do you think what huge things Bethesda can add to Skyrim via the DLC?

I keep thinking something like Spears, would be that be a seperate skill or under the two handed one? Because what I wonder about is that the uneveness of having another Combat skill, meaning that there would be a need for two more skills, one for magic and for Stealth, but what would those be?

Secondly in the DLC I would not mind more perks for existing skills, such as a perk that increases the swing speed of weapons.

I know this suggestion is so played out, but I would really like spears as an option. I really want to play an Armored Spear warrior who uses lightning magic.

Don't make the expansion closed loop.
In other words, make it the beginning of a series of expansions, that takes the player to places 'beyond.'
This would give the developers ENORMOUS flexibility. Just going back to a province from a previous ES game is dangerous, because it sets up a portion of the players for disappointment.
Also: combat doesn't need to be a central feature. Don't get me wrong - it's fun bringing the pain to Thalmor, Falmer, Forsworn and banditos and such. But plot twists and turns, espionage, exploration, puzzle solving (within reasonable limits) and other things can be extremely enjoyable. Not everything has to devolve down to "Go and explore this cave/crypt/ruin, kill everything, kill the Boss, and take the special item for a bounty in gold."

This^. Substance. I personally don't give a damn about more types of weapons, enchantments, horse armor, etc. I want substantive content. More quests that aren't linear like is mentioned above, good storylines, etc. A lot of the Daedric quests are good examples (Discerning the Transmundane, Boethia, A Night to Remember, etc.).

New types of enemies and certain existing enemies shoiuld remain a challenge so that taking a character to level 81 is worthwhile. Give us a reason to max out the character instead of it becoming ridiculoulsly easy by level 48 or so, even on Master. To this end, new perks could be added onto skill trees. And until you're high enough to get those perks, you can't fight X enemy.

I'd say to fix Destruction but that seems better suited to a patch. But give us spellmaking abilities or a host of new spells.

Okay, new info about Dawnguard. I've found a lot of new animation entries from DLC in patch 1.6. Key features:
  • Animations of crossbows now moved to folder DLC01.
  • Mounted combat with crossbows.
  • At least one type of crossbows will be unique with unique animation - Dwarven.
  • Child Crying.
  • New dialogue gestures:
    Defensive Hand;
    Hand on Chin;
    Welcome Hand.
  • Coffin Puzzle.
  • Reading of the Elder Scroll.
  • Animation from the trailer of Dawnguard.
  • Scraping tree bark.
  • Transformation in a Vampire Lord!
  • Vampire Lord's kill moves.
  • "Serana holds Vyrthur". Of course Serana and Vyrthur are in-game NPC's (or something like that), but I have not found any mentions of these names in TES Lore.

It would be kwl if the added shadow magic to the game :D

also would be kwl to have special auras that could come as shouts like say a terrifying aura that expands on the spell fear that makes everything around you quake in fear and submit to you like blubbering fools lol.

Okay, new info about Dawnguard. I've found a lot of new animation entries from DLC in patch 1.6. Key features:
  • Animations of crossbows now moved to folder DLC01.
  • Mounted combat with crossbows.
  • At least one type of crossbows will be unique with unique animation - Dwarven.
  • Child Crying.
  • New dialogue gestures:
    Defensive Hand;
    Hand on Chin;
    Welcome Hand.
  • Coffin Puzzle.
  • Reading of the Elder Scroll.
  • Animation from the trailer of Dawnguard.
  • Scraping tree bark.
  • Transformation in a Vampire Lord!
  • Vampire Lord's kill moves.
  • "Serana holds Vyrthur". Of course Serana and Vyrthur are in-game NPC's (or something like that), but I have not found any mentions of these names in TES Lore.
  • Snow Elf Prince ascension burning.
  • Pour water in a way shrine.
  • Scooping water in a way shrine.

Man, I hope this DLC has more quests like Diplomatic Immunity.

With mounted combat now in the game, Bethesda HAS to implement spears. It's just naked without them. I mean, who doesn't want to be like Genghis Khan and impale their enemies on horseback?

Ugh, Vampire Lord is one of the things I sorely did not want to see come to Skyrim. Not that the idea is flawed, but I just got the impression that such a gimmick won't get the polish it needs to be implemented seamlessly into the game world.

Agreed, except I think the idea is terribly flawed. With any luck there'll be a post-patch mod that'll remove the "Underworld" influences from Skyrim vampirism.

Do you actually have a reason why you think it's a flawed concept, or are you latching on to pseudo-intellectual phrases because of the air of credit they lend to complaints?

Whats wrong with "Underworld"? I thought it's visual style was pretty awesome, Better then twilights...

Primarily because there are no references to winged vampires in TES lore and because it's inspired by a relatively popular movie franchise. Aside from that, I'm all for improving certain aspects of vampirism within the confines of established lore.
