Well she can hug her dragon friends as Alduis brings the world to Oblivion.

There are nuts like that everywhere.

Argonians =/= Dragons. Though I guess "lizards" could mean either one.

And I actually liked Argonians untill recently. I was actually looking forward to playing one, then I heard about the invasion..

And on that night, I mustered all of my nerd rage, and got on my main Oblivion character, aswell as my main Morrowind character, and killed every Argonian NPC I could find.

It was more a joke than anything else, but yeah. And someone who hasn't gone on a mad rampage through the Imperial City, dodging accusations of criminal scum-ery hasn't lived.

Alright, so, I love Skyrim and everything about it. I mostly enjoy slaying dragons. However, a friend of mine who also loves the game and has been a TES fan since Arena absolutely refuses to kill dragons. She just won't do it. Admittedly, she's obsessed with dragons, but it's to the point to where she won't even touch the main quest because it involves the harming of the scaley beasts.

When I question her about why she won't harm one, she says it's because dragons rightfully own the land and that humans, like Tiber Septim, drove them out. Essentially, the dragons are the native Americans and the Nords are the Europeans that came to steal their land.

Seriously, it's frustrating because she's missing a major part of the game. She won't fight dragons therefore she won't obtain any shouts or complete the main quest. Does anybody agree with her? See where she's coming from? It really is mind boggling, how adamant she is in this decision. To each their own, I guess.

a) why do you care? my wife misses the WHOLE game, she does not play. at least she plays! so far the MQ has been ok (I just fought alduin on a mountaintop) but it is the rest that makes me love it.

B) she has not deconstructed her assertion. Why would "I was here first" make for a right? it does in our western legal system but that is a presuppostion she has not proven.
c) further deconstruction... dragons svck. because they want to kill another sentient race. I believe it is universally true that you should not kill a thinking/langauge having sentience UNLESS they try to kill you first. IRL that is--in game is different. just kill for fun ;)

the dragons were intent on genocide. Tiber septim did not "drive out" poor native american dragons who just wanted to have some land, they were slavers and a murderous race. it is like saying he drove out a race of serial killers. yeah he did! because they were killers!

d) she like dragons...probably WAY too much. I don't care if it is teddy bears or monkeys or kittens, if they are murdering humans and enslaving them, kill them back!

e) this is what you call a "Hang up" like, she has a hangup. like the dudes who can't, literally could not, play the game until spiders were taken out by mod. so yeah, she is wierd. not normal. but guess what? we ALL have hangups. hers is fictional about a game, whereas some of us "normal" dragon killers might have hangups in real life issues. so she is no better or worse than anyone.

but viscerally, I just want to make fun of her. seriously dragons could not be more rapacious in this game.

Same here. I actually thought I was the only one who had this odd irrational love of dragons. (Now if only she had my incredible hatred of Argonians. <_< One can dream.)

Edit: Vvardenfel blowing up, and then Argonians invading Morrowind.

Didn't make sense at first because it seemed like you though dragons were good, but it since you're play an evil character, not stopping the dragons makes a little more sense. Only a little though, because you're going to end up a slave or dead once they're done taking over the place.

*cough* In a civilised society, removing objects and items from another's possession is.. generally considered evil.

Hi guys, the infuriating friend here. I'll make it real simple- the reason I don't kill dragons, is because I like the dragons better than I like Ulfric and much more than I like the Empire and the Blades. I'm the head of the Thieves Guild, and I'm happily playing 100ish hours in without a single draconic kill.

short term, in gameplay, that makes some sense. dragons are like bandits or any other human hostile....I don't go around killing every bandit, and let's say I liked the forsworn (i don't) so I could just avoid them.

but LONG TERM, that means you are going to die. DIE. every human being will be dead. total genocide. I wish there was a mod that would let the dragons burn down all the towns and screw the economy. END of thieves guild. no human society, not much thieving.

cali, btw...you are EVIL! murdering non hostile creatures is always evil. killing grelod the kind? I did it! EVIL. kiilling a bandit....not evil! because they are hostile killers.

the ENTIRE BASIS OF OUR CIVILIZATION that it is illegal to kill except in self defense. if your character kills bandits for money, that is not evil, because if you merely walk up to the bandits to give them candy, they will murder you. but if you kill NPCs that are non hostile...that is always evil.

why? because we are humans......therefore we should be HUMANISTS...meaning that I will value YOUR LIFE if YOU WILL VALUE MINE.

I think the Argonians might have just been a little ruffled over that little hundreds of years of being abducted for slavery thing.

Okay, a lot of them were abducted for slavery.

But does that justify rushing in after the deities of one of the most prominent religions died/vanished, being hit by a moon, and having the largest volcano in Tamriel erupt, and slaughtering basicly everyone they could?
