I'll have to try that one some time... as the dragons only affect the dragon-related questlines, so if you don't go charging through there'd not be dragons, so i wouldn't be eaten alive every time i went on a quest slightly over-prepared.
It's good that they gave that option, and i'll try it if it proves these elder dragons won't leave me alone when i finish the story. plus restarting would solve the false-positive follower bug.
Until then though, as the guards say "Damn dragons could swoop down at any time" so kinda got to kill them rather than be a cook in container meal, or run away very fast.
Only trouble i had with the idea was i'd assumed you had dragons to deal with but were, same as i've had to now truly evil ones are showing up, detouring around Large areas of the map to avoid disturbing them.
If they simply aren't there i can't see any problem. considering how little i use the dragon shouts when there's not a dragon around, wishing i'd thought of that before going straight to Jarl Balgruuf about dragons.
