They're considered Nu-Metal, which isn't discussed here. You'd be better off trying to discuss them elsewhere.

So I've been driving myself crazy. I'm trying to get my hands on some of Dark Moor's albums (namely, Gates of Oblivion and The Hall of the Olden Dreams), both of which are extremely expensive on Amazon, since the album isnt produced anymore.

Anyone else know of any good places to get CDs online?

Gates of Oblivion - $16.95 + shipping:

Gates of Oblivion - $5.88 + shipping from argentina:

Hall of the Olden Dreams - various prices...one of which is about 16 bucks and shipping from the US:

...So, anyone listen to Mudvayne? I love they're album L.D. 50, although the one they released a couple of months ago isn't too bad either.

Yeah, what Kveldulf said, I don't think they're allowed here, but I gotta say they're pretty awesome.

Live In Leipzig is where it's at.

I don't know I liked DMDS more. I prefer Atilla's vocals to Dead's they're more original and sound better imo. I prefer Dead when he was in Morbid.

I've never been the biggest fan of Sigh or avant-gardne black metal but for what it was I'd say it was pretty good I guess

Same. I enjoyed it, not as good as most of the other stuff though. I'd place it above the s/t and ambient.

Just saw a video for Cannibal Corpse's "Death Walking Terror"
Great song...they are a talented bunch...
The video was one of the best I've seen as well...great acting...kinda like a mini-movie.
Took a few views to understand the story though heh...

It's a decent album. Some intresting riffs, but it do gets a bit too monotone.

Yeah I get ya. It needed a good ambient track in there to balance it out. But I get that he wanted it to sound like that I guess. And yeah, it's good, but I'd still put Filosofem and Hviss above it.

Everyone complains about the vocals though. I think they're fine. It has the vocals and riffage of Filosofem and the repetitiveness and atmosphere of Hviss.

4 out of 5.

The vocals are fine. 3/5 for me though, I am not feeling generous today :P. I also prefer Det Som En Gang Var over it.

 I can actually here something of like a trance song in there but I guess that goes for just about any ambient-esque song :P. I agree with the 4/5 though definitely better than all that crap he put out in jail

hilarity

very good too

some being the keyword. a lot of songs just.. aren't very good. even though he said he'd be sticking to his earlier style I guess I still expected something y'know.. different.

I miss being not picky at all.. good times. now everything just seems so boring :snoring:

His ambient work is good, just on a different base.

Galvon Lives!

Reading an Interview with Varg, very interesting. He sees Burzum as an anti black metal, and is an active advocate agains black metal. Wierd, but I can see why he does it.

Yes I am back ^_^

I wouldn't suggest listening to him on a great deal of interviews. this is just my opinion but he's crazy. I love his music but the things he has to say are generally pretty crazy  . That is interesting though but not surprising I guess. Do you have a URL to the interview?

Found something interesting out earlier today. The guy who teaches drums where I get my guitar lessons is apparently, Lee Morris. Who played with Paradise Lost between 94-04. I just find this really rather surreal.

So after buying tickets to see Mono (awesome post-rock band) in Dallas on May 1, I found out that Moonsorrow will be playing at the same venue as Mono will be the day before the Dallas show (venue is Emo's in Austin, by the way). So my question is: has anyone seen these guys live? Do they put on a good show? Good enough to see, or more: good enough to cancel my Dallas tickets and see both of these bands in Austin?

Only album of theirs I have is V: Havitetty, but I absolutely love that one.

Everyone needs to see Moonsorrow at least once in there life. They put on an amazing show. If it were me, I would go see both shows, cause Mono is awesome too.

Moonsorrow puts on an incredible live show, definately see them if you have the chance. I'm likely seeing them again in April I believe with Swallow the Sun and Finntroll.
